I feel like even if you can't get a publisher to take your book it would succeed at crowdfunding, but with your charming art style I doubt any business could say no.
Yes, with your online presence, I would try to crowdfund and self fund - perhaps even instead of seeking a publisher. Bailey Jae and others have said they would have made more money if they had just self published.

The End of the brush is intentional like that because normaly it comes in the van gogh travel watercolor palette and the end of the brush is to help you to get the pans and the mixing palette out of the travel palette

@@silkeschumann7261 the thing is. The van gogh watercolor palette is one of this plastic palettes where each pan has its own little dip in the plastic to sit in and the plastic is all around the pan, so it is very very difficult to get the pans out when you don't have the brush end to help you
So it was manly designed for that purpose

I haven't had a stable job either. I only volunteered every once in a while and the one job I had stopped calling me in.
I definitely wanna do my own art business as well, cause it's something I enjoy and I've been working hard and practicing like crazy.
I hope your art business works out for you!
And I hope mine does too, cause I don't have any other income and I feel this year is gonna be a good year too.

My English teacher published a children's book, and we talked to him about it and he said that even tho it wasn't super successful, he really enjoyed it
My 2020 Art Goals:
☆Draw more dragons
☆Keep up with learning fursuit making & crafting
☆Make at least $1000 in commissions (i have trouble with always underselling myself)
☆Move out, and hopefully find a place with a workshop room
☆Sew a full cosplay
☆Table a Convention

May 2020 be all you hope for and more. As you said when one door closes another opens. Life will always take us where we need to be, doing what we are supposed to be doing. Life also never gives us more than we can endure, overcome and conquer. I think being able to work on the illustration of your mother’s children’s story will be a magical experience filled with priceless gems for the treasure chest of memories.

My New Years resolution is to get my right hand working again and walking without a walker. The one thing I miss is drawing and painting. I had to end my Scrawlrbox subscription because I couldn't draw after my stroke with my right side going down. 🙁. So my goal for this year is to keep working on getting my lower right arm and hand to work. It might be to late though and it may never work again. I really don't know how long it takes to recover from a mild stroke. I loved your self portrait. Wish I could draw with my left hand but it's hard. I'm so used to doing everything with my right. 😕

After all that‘s happened to you I wish you the best for 2020. Also I feel a little more connected to you since you talked about being highly sensitive and struggling with anxiety. My goal for this year simply is finishing my bachelors degree and it already makes me so extremely overwhelmed and anxious. I also started a No Buy year because I want to focus more on what makes me really happy rather than wasting my time and money buying things that don‘t make me happy.

I don't know exactly how many years I've been watching your videos but I remember watching for the first time 4 of the speed paintings of your annual selfportraits .... so that makes 4 year by now ... wow luv u❤❤

The other end is a tool to make grooves in the paper or scratches in the (wet) paint. I suppose you can also scoop blobs of gouache fresh from the tube and use it somewhat like a spoon to mix colors. But mainly this is intended for grooves and scratches for watercolors. You can find similar watercolor brushes in art supply stores.

My resolution for this year is to take care of my mental health because it's not very good. I'm seeing a therapist already, so that's my first step. She is very nice and sweet. I hope your resolution wil come true, you deserve it! Sorry for the grammar faults, English is not my first language....

That is so wonderful that you are starting your own art business! I’m so sorry to hear about your kitty. This is a gorgeous painting. I love the idea of the two faces. I would never think of something like that. So you asked about goals...I guess mine would be to actually get some completed art done and not allow myself to get discouraged. Love your videos wishing you all the best on your career journey! So, excited to see how things evolve and grow this year! Also, i know some artists use their videos to brain storm and sketch out their books, comics etc maybe that could be a way for you to make videos and work on your book and commissions and talk about the processes and struggles i just love your easy going personality on camera. In fact last night was just telling my co worker there were only three youtubes videos i watch as soon as i see them posted and you were one of them. I follow alot of artists but sometimes not in the mood to watch theirs or just put them on the to watchlist. Not with yours... as soon as i see a video posted i watch it right then wishing you all the best with everything... just remember Ludwig is always with you and that will take time to heal took me a year before i could say my cats name after she passed. Also, also talking about things really helps me with my anxiety and depression and just know what ever your mental health issues are that you are not alone! You can do this!!
It's so hard to get over loosing a fur baby! We lost or lovely family cat in 2019 also and my heart is still a little broken. But I get so much joy over seeing all your cat drawings, paintings and Sally when she pops in. Much love ❤
Last year did suck. One of 3 relatives I have any contact with, my uncle had a stroke, and it contributed to me having a total breakdown at work that lost me my job and put me in a psych ward for a week. My brother-in- law who is legally disabled was denied the disability he's been fighting for since 2013.
2020 might be looking up already. I'm gonna try to get back into home health as a previous client who was no longer qualifed for it is now qualifed again and wants me back, my Uncle will be coming home and wants me to care for him, my brother-in-law got a new lawyer who is confident he can get the disability he's been wrongly denied, so hopefully we'll go from one income to at least 3 by he end of the year.
I want to try to upload more art too, which means I'll have to actually finish more art! At the very least once a month. Baby steps.
Wow, the final piece is awesome and impressive! Perfect art to put in frame and hang on the wall!
And yes, let's hope this year will be better than the last one.

The backside of your paint brush is a scrap tool commonly used with watercolour or gouache :) 2 tools in one

I lost my cat too last year(still not over it), and mental health strugles were definitely present(what year are they not.. :P), and i once again changed school. So, it was quite a year once again. Honestly i feel like every year is just one long rollercoaster. 😪
But, maybe 2020 will finally be my year :')

This is such a beautiful piece and I really like that you try your best to see in everything a meaning! I know you can do it. 2019 was for sure a bit hard, for me too.
But as long as people can see good sides to it too, then that's fine :)
I love this painting! I always just use gouache like I would use acrylics, just trying to be careful with paint/water ratio and not being too aggressive with brushwork. Works ok for me :p

My goal for 2020 is to learn to sew propperly and do a wide range of things to add that to my knitting. Maybe I can manage to sell my craft one day too 😊

Also dealing with mental health problems 😔I have autism so also have difficulties in the job market . It als affects my functioning so I find it hard to work enough for my art on my own 😔
Cat themed colouring book? In your art style? (With cat people too of course) And on watercolour paper? If you can make that happen as part of your art business venture that would be so incredible. I'm not sure how you would go about producing it, but I know that a corsetiere whose work I love (Rainbow Curve Corsetry) has managed to release a colouring book of her designs on watercolour paper which she sells on her website - so its just in quite small quantities - but that at least means its technically possible to do so. Though I'm not sure quite how feasible it is. I just looked it up on her website and she used Fabriano 300gsm watercolour paper, if that is any use in case you do wish to make that a possibility in future. Perhaps there is a printer out there who provides similar as an option as the outside is properly printed in colour like a proper colouring book.

Even if you are saying 'colour' wrong (you are pronouncing it as 'collar', like a dog collar, instead of how 'colour' is pronounced). Your English is really good, though! I am only pointing it out because you say it so often.
