Just because Analog TV is dead doesn't mean antenna is dead because more people are getting rid of cable and satellite including some streaming for cable to watch antenna. I would have to agree. Although the Metv toons will be free over the air to some, it so far is only will be available in 55 tv markets out of the total 210 markets. I did read somewhere that it may be available in a total of 80 marrkets overall, which would be nice, but it still is not even half of the market. Not to mention, some of the broadcasts will be on low power. These can be super tricky to pull in even with an outdoor antenna. Right now, people still rely on cable and satellite too just due to where they live or living situation such as ones who live in apartment complexes. They still have access to tv antenna use, but very limited on what one can do in these situations. MeTv toons may be offered on streaming services such as Frndly and even Philo, but how many will pay for a streaming service just for a few channels like Metv toons? I also know some that hate streaming because of the reliance of a fast internet just to watch tv. Everyone talks about cable prices going up, but how many have complained on the price of their internet going up? Oh and the headaches of putting in passwords with streaming makes it somewhat inconvenient. Even if Metv Toons is offered on a "FAST" channel, these can be annoying with the repetitive ads placed randomly.
For the record: MeTV Toons is not a carbon copy of BOOMERANG. For several reasons. First, it's NOT a cable channel. It's a broadcast channel (via Antenna, over the air). Second: it's NOT aimed at children. It's a "nostalgia channel" aimed and programmed for all ages, including older adults. Third: the idea behind it was to compile ALL the classic cartoons - from all studios (NOT just Warner Bros. Discovery). Underdog, Speed Racer, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Mr. Magoo, Woody Woodpecker, etc. are NOT Warner Bros. Discovery. And there is much more to come.
As much I want Boomerang to get back to normal soon, I want to give MeTV Toons achance, since it'll still airs classic Cartoon like Looney Tunes, Underdog, Rocky & Bullwinke, Frankenstein Jr. & The Impossibles, Scooby-Doo, Freakazoid, The Mask (based on the Jim Carrey Film of the same name), Dynomutt Dog Wonder, Baby Looney Tunes, Marine Boy, The Jetsons, Captain Caveman & The Teen Angels, Josie & The Pussycats, Wally Gator and many many many more to expect from MeTV Toons.

Keep in mind, back when Boomerang did have that old stuff, no one was watching and ratings were slipping. MeTV, already well-versed in classic TV and airing the old cartoons that are proving to be successful, seems to be the logical choice to start a cartoon channel like this. Plus, it’s free over-the-air and more accessible than cable.
True. Also keep in mind Boomerang wasn't successful because they tried to sell it as a premium cable channel. This alienated the demographic most interested in Boomerang so it never had a chance.
People are cord cutting. Cable companies are cutting back, and many of them don't even carry Boomerang. Cartoon Network is focusing more on Adult Swim because kids don't watch cable anymore. Me-TV Toons is a free ad-supported channel that will focus exclusively on cartoons that are over 20 years old. Licensing out their old content to the team at MeTV, who actually care about the content is probably the smartest thing they've done recently, which leads me to believe Zazlov had nothing to do with it.
One could make the same argument that Warner Bros Discovery is wasting Cartoon Network by putting everything on Adult Swim. As for Boomerang, many cable companies like Comcast don't even carry Boomerang, and they ones that do only make it available on the upper tiers. WB might think that more people would see these cartoons on MeTV Toons than on Boomerang. Personally, I think that Boomerang should just go back to being a program block on Cartoon Network. I never thought that Boom needed to be it's own separate channel. The only reason why WB/Turner launched Boomerang (the channel) in the first place was so that there'd be more room on CN's schedule for newer shows like the Cartoon-Cartoons.

Boomerang did get better in recent years thats not true. Now they air Popeye, Yogi Bear, Yogi's Space Race, Wally Gator, the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Top Cat, etc.
I mean, it'll be more of a CN 92 - 98 2.0. Boomerang was a short lived extension of that for about 2 years. As for why this channel needs to exist, people have been asking for a classic CN for about 3 decades now and the "Toon in with Me" and "Saturday morning with Me" blocks on MeTV and MeTV+ is raking in viewers, proving there's a market for it. Warner Bros Discovery themselves are not interested in animation anymore, hence why they shut down Cartoon Network Studios, the CN building, as well as Boomerang in Europe. So, that's essentially why. To preserve the classics.
And moreover, they got rid of Crunchyroll, even though this was probably their most lucrative subsidiary. Obviously they do not believe in the future of animation, and that they can make money on children watching TV, which makes a lot of sense. Kids today are on their ipads, watching youtube, twitch, tiktok and so on. A TV channel dedicate to older cartoons for the older crowd sounds a bit niche and is probably not going to bring home the bacon. So, from a money making standpoint, outsourcing their cartoons to other companies make a lot more sense. I can't be mad at them for that.

If Adult Swim cancels Checker Past and Cartoon Network or Boomerang is no longer rerun or airing classic cartoon shows from the 30s to the 2000s anymore but only airs from the 2010s and new shows, hopefully MeTV Toons adds classic CN shows from the 90s and the 2000s especially those action shows like Ben 10 (2005)

They also got a deal with Paramount Global so in the future we may see Nickelodeon aka Nicktoons on there soon we may get everything except Disney even thou that could change too if they make last minute deals
Let's get this out of the way first: I know that WBD has done a lot of damage to their brand and the animation industry; I'm not about to forgive them for that. That said, they're not leasing their cartoons to MeTV Toons: the channel is a joint venture between Weigel Broadcasting and WBD. The reason Warner is pouring so much into this channel and not Boomerang is because MeTV Toons is an over the air channel that will be available to affiliates all across the country, whereas Boomerang is only in a fraction of homes. Comcast, the largest cable company in the world, doesn't carry Boomerang at all, and many other cable companies only offer it as a VOD service. Boomerang has been on life support for years; the only reasons Warner keeps it around is for ad revenue and for brand consistency across international markets.

I think they wanted to give boomerang a competition to see if the channel will still be relevant to keep to how many people still watch the channel and not go on life support. I saw the trailer for MeTV toons that Next month, they are also going to have a bit of action cartoons along with classic Hannah barbera shows as well such as crypto the super dog, Captain Planet, underdog and Xaolin showdown which I say that is a great idea to have for the channel to air for free.
Boomerang IMO screwed up because they demanded it be on a higher tier cable or satellite package. You had the entire H-B library, WB, Tom and Jerry yet they decided to run Powerpuff girls. That was when I bailed. MeTv toons is gathering a much deeper bench of programing. Already as I have watched Metv toons, Hanna-Barbera is still king of the mountain but the bonus to me is the Harveytoons and Modern Madcaps. So far I am really liking the channel a lot.
Cable providers have been dropping boomerang. Also, a lot alot of people don't have cable anymore thus they dont watch tv. Also, the cartoons on metv have a high rate of viewership. So for metv this completely makes sense to make a classic cartoon channel. Your view is kinda off. Metv toons is going to be way better than what boomerang is currently. They are having big names behind the metv toons channel and it's goinf to have its own little twist on things.

I think since this is essentially a joint venture with Warner brothers discovery from what I have heard from other RUclipsrs talking about it will be like a more accessible boomerang of old since u don’t have to have cable to watch it all u need is an antenna to get it if it’s available in your area when it launches but in my opinion this maybe the beginning of the end of boomerang since most of the handful of Hanna-Barbera shows try had put back on the network have been removed from the channel so they can go on me tv toons and I think this will over time end boomerang
the metv toons now becomes boomerang 2.0 is something I like about cartoon network has some bright ideas for this and the reason means ppgs, dexter's laboratory, Johnny ques,t Scooby doo where are you?, ruff and ready, my mom's favorite the smurfs, etc etc etc etc.
It's not a one-to-one copy. MeTV Toons will offer non-Warner Bros licensed shows like Underdog, ALF: The Animated Series, Speed Racer, Inspector Gadget, The Mask: Animated Series, etc. While yes it has a lot of WB properties it's not a clone channel.
From what I saw of Infinity train which was only one episode in season 1 it looked like a really cool show and it's a shame that that got canceled I wasn't even aware it got two other seasons
I also agree that WB Discovery needs to get there act back together with Cartoon Network and Boomerang. Cartoon Network needs to show some great quality shows again instead of just relying on the tired formula of showing replays of Teen Titans Go! and Gumball. And with Boomerang they need to replay classic cartoons loke they did before even if it seems redundant with MeTV Toons showing their shows. It was really great though that they had original programs like Bunnicula, but show some classic stuff. They would win me over if they revive Krypto, Teen Titans 2003, Legion of Superheroes. Make a new Dynomutt reboot series. And greenlighted Trick Moon.
You really are jumping to conclusions again. As someone who grew up watching cartoons on Kids WB, Fox Kids, and PBS Kids... I'm giving MeTV Toons a chance to succeed. Cable tv is already phasing out, so it's a matter of time on see what's really going to change in the TV industry.
I look at it this way, at least these TV shows are becoming more accessible to more viewers than when they were airing on Boomerang. From what I understand, Boomerang is a cable channel that is\was on a tier that viewers had to pay a little more for to be able to watch. MeTV Toons will be on free over the air TV & will also have a FAST livestreaming channel that will have, again from what I understand, a alternate schedule with the same programming as the main over the air channel. I actually hope that Disney will eventually license out their 80's to early 2000's, & possibly even earlier, cartoons to MeTV Toons.
Im with you dc network they have messed it up since the rebrand if anything they should have just mad it HD and thats it the promos and the bumpers are what made the network special cuz it's promotes the shows that we love to watch and thats what made us want to watch tne shows i used to watch boomerang at my cousins house and would think how lucky she was to be able to aarch the channel now its just repeating bumpers nothing special the colors are not what I remember i miss the old boomerang channel so sad hopefully after watching the success of metv toons they will try to rebrand it back to the way it was
Remember, this is a limited partnership, meaning WB is mostly hands off supplying the content while Weigel handles more of the business. Weigel is the one who spearheaded the idea of doing this, not WB.
I think what's being lost here in the video, is the fact that actually having boomerang as a cable channel that you have access to is pretty difficult. Been trying to get boomerang for years unsuccessfully. If anything this will make people actually able to experience a 24-hour cartoon experience for the first time. Easily better than boomerang for that reason alone

One theory for the creation of MeTV Toons is for them to use nostalgia trend to up ratings for MeTV as a whole by creating more channels. Another theory is that Warner wants more money. That’s also why they are releasing Dexter’s Lab and rereleasing the Beetlejuice cartoon on DVD both on the same exact day that MeTV Toons arrives.
So there's a rumor going around that Invincible Fight Girl might be postponed to Adult Swim, much like what happened with Unicorn. If it's true, then that basically proves that WBD just doesn't want CN to have a future. This really sucks.
I love the old cartoon characters. It'll be great to see them again , sinse kings island doesn't feature them anymore in favor,, of what else . Peanuts characters. So this is like boomerang , sort of. Featuring many of the cartoons I knew and loved so much.😊😊
I hope MeTV toons airs Disney Cartoons like Mickey Mouse, Silly Symphony, and Mickey Donald and Goofy. Since this is going to be launched as a channel, they should do the same thing with Cartoonito and Adult Swim to get launched as channel so Cartoon Network can become a 24/7 channel again.
If they bring MeTV Toons to England and eventually Malta, then i will be happy as Boomerang had lost it's meaning, meaning the cartoon network shows of the past are coming back to you, but now they just air shows that don't even have a background at Warner Brothers and also in the UK the only things worth watching on Boomerang are Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo and Ninjago, that's it those 3 things only.
As a anime fan who way more into anime's then old cartoons we don't really have any TV channels airing anime's the most we have is Toonami but Toonami only airs once a week and they mainly only go after action anime's i am grateful to have Toonami and i hope to see Toonami airing for many more years but i am into more then just action anime's i also enjoy romance anime's and Slice of Life especially Iyashikei anime's i know that anime's are crazy expensive to air and most channels probably won't make much money off of them they would lose way more money then they would gain but as someone who loves to see anime air on US TV it sucks knowing so many amazing anime's won't get time on US TV even if those series were to air they would probably get low ratings but still i wish they could air and the fact that barely any other networks airs anime's might be a good thing for Toonami in some cases but one of my things with Toonami is that Toonami only airs Dubbed anime and sure some Subbed anime's have aired on Toonami but it's a very small amount and it makes sense that any anime's that air on US TV would air in English audio since it's US TV i personally prefer Subbed anime's and if i could choose to switch all my anime recordings to Subbed i would as i get way more enjoyment from watching anime in Japanese audio now i am sure a lot of people might reply to this saying just watch anime's on streaming services and my reply to that is i do watch anime's on streaming services but i still love seeing anime air on US TV 1 more thing regarding Subbed vs Dubbed anime is that i am not a Dub hater i think there are many great English Dubs but i still enjoy those anime's more in Sub

Really bad idea. MeTV has a successful formula and it's what daily viewers are expecting with the new channel. Boomerang was a disaster and I don't think they want the bad image. Weigel knows what they are doing and would be incredibly stupid to mess with it.

Why call them greedy when they are giving fans a FREE channel that helps them recoup funds? I think it's smart. Licensing their products to other apps and networks gives fans more options to see the entertainment they love. You are really coming across as a WB hater instead of being honest...
I think because the Cartoon HQ went bankrupt last year, they might slowly kill the main CN channel, or turn that channel into a complete Adult Swim with Toonami featuring on there.
I haven't been able to watch boomerang since i switched to cable from satellite TV. I'll take metv toons. As for Boomerang, it is probably either going to be shuttered or maybe they'll just make it like the nicktoons channel
Except there is one problem. At least for me. None of the channels in my area are owned by weigel broadcasting. and the MeTV stations are subchannels of different tv channels. Although im sure it could come to my area but likely not til 2025 or 2026
I think that's a great idea but series like Puffy AmiYumi and Megas XLR and Sym-Bionic Titan are never going to air again which sucks because i never saw those first 2 series i mentioned and i want to watch them and i have no idea where to legally watch them i watched Sym-Bionic Titan on Netflix but i still care about the series and i want to see it come back

Just because Analog TV is dead doesn't mean antenna is dead because more people are getting rid of cable and satellite including some streaming for cable to watch antenna. I would have to agree. Although the Metv toons will be free over the air to some, it so far is only will be available in 55 tv markets out of the total 210 markets. I did read somewhere that it may be available in a total of 80 marrkets overall, which would be nice, but it still is not even half of the market. Not to mention, some of the broadcasts will be on low power. These can be super tricky to pull in even with an outdoor antenna. Right now, people still rely on cable and satellite too just due to where they live or living situation such as ones who live in apartment complexes. They still have access to tv antenna use, but very limited on what one can do in these situations. MeTv toons may be offered on streaming services such as Frndly and even Philo, but how many will pay for a streaming service just for a few channels like Metv toons? I also know some that hate streaming because of the reliance of a fast internet just to watch tv. Everyone talks about cable prices going up, but how many have complained on the price of their internet going up? Oh and the headaches of putting in passwords with streaming makes it somewhat inconvenient. Even if Metv Toons is offered on a "FAST" channel, these can be annoying with the repetitive ads placed randomly.
For the record: MeTV Toons is not a carbon copy of BOOMERANG. For several reasons. First, it's NOT a cable channel. It's a broadcast channel (via Antenna, over the air). Second: it's NOT aimed at children. It's a "nostalgia channel" aimed and programmed for all ages, including older adults. Third: the idea behind it was to compile ALL the classic cartoons - from all studios (NOT just Warner Bros. Discovery). Underdog, Speed Racer, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Mr. Magoo, Woody Woodpecker, etc. are NOT Warner Bros. Discovery. And there is much more to come.

As much I want Boomerang to get back to normal soon, I want to give MeTV Toons achance, since it'll still airs classic Cartoon like Looney Tunes, Underdog, Rocky & Bullwinke, Frankenstein Jr. & The Impossibles, Scooby-Doo, Freakazoid, The Mask (based on the Jim Carrey Film of the same name), Dynomutt Dog Wonder, Baby Looney Tunes, Marine Boy, The Jetsons, Captain Caveman & The Teen Angels, Josie & The Pussycats, Wally Gator and many many many more to expect from MeTV Toons.

Keep in mind, back when Boomerang did have that old stuff, no one was watching and ratings were slipping. MeTV, already well-versed in classic TV and airing the old cartoons that are proving to be successful, seems to be the logical choice to start a cartoon channel like this.

True. Also keep in mind Boomerang wasn't successful because they tried to sell it as a premium cable channel. This alienated the demographic most interested in Boomerang so it never had a chance.

People are cord cutting. Cable companies are cutting back, and many of them don't even carry Boomerang. Cartoon Network is focusing more on Adult Swim because kids don't watch cable anymore. Me-TV Toons is a free ad-supported channel that will focus exclusively on cartoons that are over 20 years old. Licensing out their old content to the team at MeTV, who actually care about the content is probably the smartest thing they've done recently, which leads me to believe Zazlov had nothing to do with it.

One could make the same argument that Warner Bros Discovery is wasting Cartoon Network by putting everything on Adult Swim. WB might think that more people would see these cartoons on MeTV Toons than on Boomerang.
Personally, I think that Boomerang should just go back to being a program block on Cartoon Network. I never thought that Boom needed to be it's own separate channel. The only reason why WB/Turner launched Boomerang (the channel) in the first place was so that there'd be more room on CN's schedule for newer shows like the Cartoon-Cartoons.
Comcast/Xfinity outright dropped Boomerang from their system altogether. It is not in any package anymore!

Speaking of anything related to WBD, Joker and Harley Quinn are confirmed for Multiversus with other characters such as The PowerPuff Girls and Dexter (Dexter's Laboratory) being teased in the trailer that are soon to come.
Boomerang did get better in recent years thats not true. Now they air Popeye, Yogi Bear, Yogi's Space Race, Wally Gator, the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Top Cat, etc.
I mean, it'll be more of a CN 92 - 98 2.0. Boomerang was a short lived extension of that for about 2 years. As for why this channel needs to exist, people have been asking for a classic CN for about 3 decades now and the "Toon in with Me" and "Saturday morning with Me" blocks on MeTV and MeTV+ is raking in viewers, proving there's a market for it. Warner Bros Discovery themselves are not interested in animation anymore, hence why they shut down Cartoon Network Studios, the CN building, as well as Boomerang in Europe. So, that's essentially why. To preserve the classics.
And moreover, they got rid of Crunchyroll, even though this was probably their most lucrative subsidiary. Obviously they do not believe in the future of animation, and that they can make money on children watching TV, which makes a lot of sense. Kids today are on their ipads, watching youtube, twitch, tiktok and so on. A TV channel dedicate to older cartoons for the older crowd sounds a bit niche and is probably not going to bring home the bacon. So, from a money making standpoint, outsourcing their cartoons to other companies make a lot more sense. I can't be mad at them for that.

If Adult Swim cancels Checker Past and Cartoon Network or Boomerang is no longer rerun or airing classic cartoon shows from the 30s to the 2000s anymore but only airs from the 2010s and new shows, hopefully MeTV Toons adds classic CN shows from the 90s and the 2000s especially those action shows like Ben 10 (2005)

Let's get this out of the way first: I know that WBD has done a lot of damage to their brand and the animation industry; I'm not about to forgive them for that.
That said, they're not leasing their cartoons to MeTV Toons: the channel is a joint venture between Weigel Broadcasting and WBD. The reason Warner is pouring so much into this channel and not Boomerang is because MeTV Toons is an over the air channel that will be available to affiliates all across the country, whereas Boomerang is only in a fraction of homes. Comcast, the largest cable company in the world, doesn't carry Boomerang at all, and many other cable companies only offer it as a VOD service. Boomerang has been on life support for years; the only reasons Warner keeps it around is for ad revenue and for brand consistency across international markets.
Who knows? Maybe some of Cartoon Network's action shows will be there, too.

Boomerang IMO screwed up because they demanded it be on a higher tier cable or satellite package. You had the entire H-B library, WB, Tom and Jerry yet they decided to run Powerpuff girls. That was when I bailed. MeTv toons is gathering a much deeper bench of programing. Already as I have watched Metv toons, Hanna-Barbera is still king of the mountain but the bonus to me is the Harveytoons and Modern Madcaps. So far I am really liking the channel a lot.
Cable providers have been dropping boomerang. Also, a lot alot of people don't have cable anymore thus they dont watch tv. Also, the cartoons on metv have a high rate of viewership. So for metv this completely makes sense to make a classic cartoon channel. Your view is kinda off. Metv toons is going to be way better than what boomerang is currently. They are having big names behind the metv toons channel and it's goinf to have its own little twist on things.

It's not a one-to-one copy. MeTV Toons will offer non-Warner Bros licensed shows like Underdog, ALF: The Animated Series, Speed Racer, Inspector Gadget, The Mask: Animated Series, etc. While yes it has a lot of WB properties it's not a clone channel.
I hope we get Turbo Teen, Widget the World Watcher, Bionic Six, TigerSharks, Denver the Last Dinosaur, and Sinbad Jr and the Magic Belt.
From what I saw of Infinity train which was only one episode in season 1 it looked like a really cool show and it's a shame that that got canceled I wasn't even aware it got two other seasons

We Need a 1960s, 70s, 80s & 90s Marvel & DC Toons Network.

MeTV Toons might be available on free streaming services like tubi and Pluto and freevee.
I also agree that WB Discovery needs to get there act back together with Cartoon Network and Boomerang. Cartoon Network needs to show some great quality shows again instead of just relying on the tired formula of showing replays of Teen Titans Go! and Gumball. And with Boomerang they need to replay classic cartoons loke they did before even if it seems redundant with MeTV Toons showing their shows. It was really great though that they had original programs like Bunnicula, but show some classic stuff.
They would win me over if they revive Krypto, Teen Titans 2003, Legion of Superheroes. Make a new Dynomutt reboot series. And greenlighted Trick Moon.
Broadcast TV needs this. There's nothing on regular TV to watch that is airing right now. The retro shows are the best things to watch... And Sports.

You really are jumping to conclusions again. As someone who grew up watching cartoons on Kids WB, Fox Kids, and PBS Kids... I'm giving MeTV Toons a chance to succeed. Cable tv is already phasing out, so it's a matter of time on see what's really going to change in the TV industry.

I look at it this way, at least these TV shows are becoming more accessible to more viewers than when they were airing on Boomerang.
From what I understand, Boomerang is a cable channel that is\was on a tier that viewers had to pay a little more for to be able to watch.
MeTV Toons will be on free over the air TV & will also have a FAST livestreaming channel that will have, again from what I understand, a alternate schedule with the same programming as the main over the air channel.
I actually hope that Disney will eventually license out their 80's to early 2000's, & possibly even earlier, cartoons to MeTV Toons.

Remember, this is a limited partnership, meaning WB is mostly hands off supplying the content while Weigel handles more of the business. Weigel is the one who spearheaded the idea of doing this, not WB.
I think what's being lost here in the video, is the fact that actually having boomerang as a cable channel that you have access to is pretty difficult. Been trying to get boomerang for years unsuccessfully. If anything this will make people actually able to experience a 24-hour cartoon experience for the first time. Easily better than boomerang for that reason alone

One theory for the creation of MeTV Toons is for them to use nostalgia trend to up ratings for MeTV as a whole by creating more channels.
Another theory is that Warner wants more money. That’s also why they are releasing Dexter’s Lab and rereleasing the Beetlejuice cartoon on DVD both on the same exact day that MeTV Toons arrives.
So there's a rumor going around that Invincible Fight Girl might be postponed to Adult Swim, much like what happened with Unicorn.
If it's true, then that basically proves that WBD just doesn't want CN to have a future. This really sucks.
I love the old cartoon characters. It'll be great to see them again , sinse kings island doesn't feature them anymore in favor,, of what else . Peanuts characters. So this is like boomerang , sort of. Featuring many of the cartoons I knew and loved so much.😊😊
I hope MeTV toons airs Disney Cartoons like Mickey Mouse, Silly Symphony, and Mickey Donald and Goofy. Since this is going to be launched as a channel, they should do the same thing with Cartoonito and Adult Swim to get launched as channel so Cartoon Network can become a 24/7 channel again.

If they bring MeTV Toons to England and eventually Malta, then i will be happy as Boomerang had lost it's meaning, meaning the cartoon network shows of the past are coming back to you, but now they just air shows that don't even have a background at Warner Brothers and also in the UK the only things worth watching on Boomerang are Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo and Ninjago, that's it those 3 things only.
As a anime fan who way more into anime's then old cartoons we don't really have any TV channels airing anime's the most we have is Toonami but Toonami only airs once a week and they mainly only go after action anime's i am grateful to have Toonami and i hope to see Toonami airing for many more years but i am into more then just action anime's i also enjoy romance anime's and Slice of Life especially Iyashikei anime's i know that anime's are crazy expensive to air and most channels probably won't make much money off of them they would lose way more money then they would gain but as someone who loves to see anime air on US TV it sucks knowing so many amazing anime's won't get time on US TV even if those series were to air they would probably get low ratings but still i wish they could air and the fact that barely any other networks airs anime's might be a good thing for Toonami in some cases but one of my things with Toonami is that Toonami only airs Dubbed anime and sure some Subbed anime's have aired on Toonami but it's a very small amount and it makes sense that any anime's that air on US TV would air in English audio since it's US TV i personally prefer Subbed anime's and if i could choose to switch all my anime recordings to Subbed i would as i get way more enjoyment from watching anime in Japanese audio now i am sure a lot of people might reply to this saying just watch anime's on streaming services and my reply to that is i do watch anime's on streaming services but i still love seeing anime air on US TV 1 more thing regarding Subbed vs Dubbed anime is that i am not a Dub hater i think there are many great English Dubs but i still enjoy those anime's more in Sub

Really bad idea. MeTV has a successful formula and it's what daily viewers are expecting with the new channel. Boomerang was a disaster and I don't think they want the bad image. Weigel knows what they are doing and would be incredibly stupid to mess with it.

Why call them greedy when they are giving fans a FREE channel that helps them recoup funds? I think it's smart. Licensing their products to other apps and networks gives fans more options to see the entertainment they love. You are really coming across as a WB hater instead of being honest...
I think because the Cartoon HQ went bankrupt last year, they might slowly kill the main CN channel, or turn that channel into a complete Adult Swim with Toonami featuring on there.
I haven't been able to watch boomerang since i switched to cable from satellite TV. I'll take metv toons. As for Boomerang, it is probably either going to be shuttered or maybe they'll just make it like the nicktoons channel

Except there is one problem. At least for me. None of the channels in my area are owned by weigel broadcasting. and the MeTV stations are subchannels of different tv channels. Although im sure it could come to my area but likely not til 2025 or 2026
