Harveytoons is one of the top reasons I watch ME TV Toons! Many of these, cable TV has neglected to air for decades, or in some cases, some of the non-Casper ones, I have NEVER seen before, so they are new to me, and I very much enjoy them the same way I do the HB and WB animation
@@christopherdunne7848 I like the fact that they give the year that the cartoon was copyrighted right off the bat in very clear print (and not Roman numerals like WB) so you know what year it was made. There’s a phenomenal RUclips channel created by a RUclipsr called *Rinse Repeat* . There’s a PAC Man cartoon added in the playlist title or episode title called “Saturday morning Video game cartoons”. 12 hours of content. Check it out and you’ll like it!
I believe they can pull something off. if it does happen, that would be crazy for a video game block. I could see Mario, Sonic, and pac-man leading it off, however, if they could get the license to it, we could see pokemon as well and pikachu lead the 4th, and we can get the other game based shows like space ace, dragon’s lair, frogger, kangaroo, among others to make like an arcade block. however mario, sonic and pac-man has to lead the trio since they were the big 3 popular characters of the day.
I know bob burgon does the main voiceovers, however, here’s my dream voiceover cast for the video game block should it happen. for female, I’d say veronica taylor could be a good run, then for males, I’d see Charles Martinet, and/or roger craig smith doing promo for that block.

Such a shame to have something that the people want but NO one is airing it. Not even a stinking app! That's about how it goes rhese days. Thanks for your info sir!👍🏽
My choices for future airings: Ruff & Reddy (hard to schedule since they were cliffhangers; maybe they could put them in a half-hour together with HB's Laurel & Hardy, Abbott & Costello and Sinbad Jr.), Hoppity Hooper with the original ABC opening--not the syndie Uncle Waldo open, the King Features Trilogy shorts, and Cool McCool!
Maybe if Totally 80's Animation, for shows like Teddy Ruxpin, Gi-Joe, He Man and the Universe, SuperTed, Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, Pac Man, Teenage the Ninja Turtles, Danger Mouse, Mighty Mouse The New Adventures
I would love to see someone make a reboot of The Pirates of Dark Water and Thundarr the Barbarian, but do them in the same animation styles as the original series and they both need proper endings this time.
I have Comcast/Xfinity cable, but no indication that they will add MeTV Toons to their channel lineup. In the meantime, it would be great if MeTV Toons would consider adding: Colonel Bleep, Dodo The Kid from Outer Space, Herge's Adventures of TinTin, and the George Pal Puppetoons (all four were shows that aired early mornings on local New York City TV back in the mid-late 1960s-early 1970s). As well, the various versions of Archie (Everything Archie, Archie's TV Funnies, Archie's Funhouse, etc.) and Sabrina The Teenage Witch produced by Filmation. In fact, add everything produced by Filmation (who has the rights to the Filmation library?)! Finally...get that weekend staple, Davey & Goliath!!!
DirecTV, RUclipsTV, and all of you other cable companies better swallow your prides and add MeTvToons! Weigel is ready to share its new channel with you all!
While there is the phrase never say never when it comes to getting at least one of the Amblin cartoons on air, it might make more sense that they’ll get them once they get into the cable business. But that also of course gives the possibility of Cartoon Network shows early on Toons as well as other Warner cartoons with no shared licenses and other properties that aren’t owned by Warner that Weigel Broadcasting can afford.
Actually the most requested cartoons that fans want to see on the channel is Terrytoons. Also, there are currently no plans to bring the Filmation shows to the channel. Only the theatrical Magoo cartoons will be on the MeTV Toons, not the 60s version.
The expansion will certainly help, but seriously I think they should set aside 30 minutes a week for just a program of classic kiddie TV toy/doll/cereal commercials and have the year of each ad in the corner of the screen. After all, MeTV Toons is more for grownups than for kids; check their current ad lineup! At each break: “We will return after these very current messages!”
In part of the 1980's Animation Era on MeTV Toons 1. The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show 2. Care Bears 3. Rainbow Brite 4. The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin 5. Pac Man 6. He Man and the Universe 7. Buttons and Rusty 8. SuperTed

Cartoon Network should be generous and license out their classics to this channel. It's not like they are doing anything with them anyways besides sitting in their vault.
One show Disney owns that they’re doing nothing with is The Tick. The 1960’s Spider Man and Fantastic Four would be awesome too. I highly doubt Disney will do anything with any of these. Now, if I could only find a way to get the channel in Canada. I also agree on the sensitive cartoons. I’d simply run them with a disclaimer.
@@HimeNoKuri I do too. It was great seeing all those Disney characters together. I’d love to know why it and other 1 Saturday Morning and Disney Afternoon shows aren’t on there. then again they should have all the vintage animated shorts up on there too.
As for Disney... it would be nice if they at least let MeTV Toons air some shows that haven't found their way to Disney+, like the Aladdin series or House of Mouse for instance. A lot of the old theatrical shorts aren't on there either. You'd think that if Disney wasn't interested in putting them on their own platform, they'd at least license them to someone else. But I know it's not likely.
they should update the lineup for thanksgiving to also include in addition to daffy cartoons, some Foghorn leghorn cartoons as well ,it would make sense cause people tend to like that rooster have a duck and rooster mixed marathon
Agreed. Warner Bros eventually faced the tough reality that the only way they can combat their debt is to license out their shows to other companies such as Weigel's MeTV. Sometimes a home field advantage isn't the best.
If puppetry is being treated as a form of animation (as it should be IMO), I wonder if they'd ever consider adding Fraggle Rock (the original Muppet version). I'd also love classic Sesame Street from the late '60s to early '90s, though I know that's a serious longshot. And of course we can forget about The Muppet Show due to Disney ownership.
Fraggle Rock is the most likely, but the rights to Sesame Street are semi-complicated, as they would have to consult Sesame Workshop, Warner Bros Discovery (who currently owns the streaming rights), and possibly PBS.
I don't want to water down ME TV Toons with "live action" stuff---if you add that plus all the Marty Krofft puppetry from the 70s, there won't be any room for all the 100 years of non-Disney animation that has been languishing away in storage for decades and deserves a good airing on a channel dedicated to animation! Its like MTV or Cartoon Network---once you water things down with things that are not purely what the channel was intended for, it won't be long before it becomes a "cartoon channel in name only" , and I don't want to open those kind of floodgates! Call me a "purist", but that's where I stand!
I really hope Dish carries METV Toons, I live in Louisiana and the only way I can carry it is streaming services, but I'd prefer to watch on cable. And I hope they can get Terrytoons, Beany And Cecil, 1980s Richie Rich, Adventures Of The Gummi Bears, and the Scooby "clones" [especially Speed Buggy and Butch Cassidy]!

Also, Courageous Cat would be great, as well as the various Archies (especially the one with Dick Tracy, The Katzenjammer Kids, etc.), the Planet of the Apes cartoon (might be tough to get), Journey To The Center of The Earth and Fantastic Voyage. A long-shot might be the 1960's Spider-Man, which surprisingly hasn't aired on Disney+ (rights issues?).
The more Modern Madcaps, the better, I say!
@@christopherdunne7848 I like the fact that they give the year that the cartoon was copyrighted right off the bat in very clear print (and not Roman numerals like WB) so you know what year it was made. But yeah--Modern Madcaps are what I call "smart-toons", because they are usually for people hip to intelligent humor
I know this is a pipe dream with licensing, but I’d love for MeTV Toons to someday air the Pac-Man cartoon by Hanna-Barbera.
Maybe they'll air Christmas Comes to Pac-Land for the holidays
There’s a phenomenal RUclips channel created by a RUclipsr called *Rinse Repeat* . There’s a PAC Man cartoon added in the playlist title or episode title called “Saturday morning Video game cartoons”. 12 hours of content. Check it out and you’ll like it!
Man I vaguely remember watching that as a kid.
The Pirates of Black Water needs to be finished. Rerunning it as the story is expanded would be a total win.
Dark Water you mean?
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews Sorry been a minute. It was a cartoon ahead of it's time.
5:05 We can always hope that more of the controversial cartoons such as the Censored Eleven will get aired uncensored and with disclaimers on MeTV Toons at some point in the future, thus getting the wish of airing everything but with disclaimers when they’re necessary.
It wouldn’t be worth the brouhaha, trust me. If they ever ran them, a video (text) disclaimer would have to be on screen throughtout each cartoon.
I’m still waiting for MeTV Toons to be in my area…
yeah it's not even on mine yet...
I wonder why that Crowdstrike outage mostly only affected Paramount's networks in the United States? I'd also like to add that during the outage, MTV Classic and BET Soul used their technical difficulties screens from when they were VH1-branded channels. And if Spectrum adds MeTV Toons, I believe it might make up for the Disney dispute, which is almost a year old now. But of course the channel is still not on Fios yet.
Also, nice new profile pic.
Clownstrike affected a lot more but i would like to know
Maybe they were the only media company besides Weigel that hired them

I’m here for more Hanna Barbera classics. Like original Yogi Bear and Magilla Gorilla and Huckleberry Hound
Hanna Barbera is the highlight of the channel
I remember when Boomerang was new and had no commercials.
1:36 not only did they got freakazoid, they also got histeria on the channel as well. both shows were under amblin entertainment and warner bros.
Histeria was only under Warner Bros.
Even though the same team from Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, and Freakazoid have worked on Histeria, Amblin/Steven Spielberg was not involved.
Also he forgot to mention both Batman and Superman the animated series on the interview, I would just be awesome if they were both on the channel.
@@RobzCaptures speaking of spielberg, I hope we get Toonsylvania on the network, It was involved with Spielberg, but not Amblin, as it was distributed by Dreamworks, the show has actually been partially lost for a very long time.
and I hope they get full runs

Years ago, I saw plushies of Ricochet Rabbit, Paw Paw Bears and Hoppy the Hopperoo. Will we soon see retro HB plushies that Mom and Dad told us to "put that back, you don't need it..."
I'd love to get a Riccochet Rabbit plush
Would love to see Thundaar The Barbarian added at some point!
It's also currently airing on Boomerang
Need to also add Tex Avery toons in the line up!
MeTV Toons will never be carried on Spectrum, and that's a promise.
It does carry the standard MeTV network, as well as other nostalgia-oriented ones. Therefore, you could be pleasantly surprised .
Me TV can be picked up here in in East Texas, but there is absolutely NO trace of The Toons channel part of their broadcast. Not even a spot that says MeTV Toons. Such a shame to have something that the people want but NO one is airing it. Not even a stinking app! That's about how it goes rhese days. Thanks for your info sir!👍🏽
You're welcome
The OG Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles oh hell yeah bring it on baby this 90s kid is happy as hell the OG Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is my childhood
Gotta run my antenna outside to check this out. Streaming has so much more now.
They should get Fox's Peter Pan & the Pirates. Plus Pirates of Dark Water.
Pirates of Dark Water, likely possibility- Peter Pan & the Pirates, not so much, Disney owns that program!!!
They should add Kimba the White Lion,Astro Boy & Pixie & Dixie
I would love to see someone make a reboot of The Pirates of Dark Water and Thundarr the Barbarian, but do them in the same animation styles as the original series and they both need proper endings this time.
They suck
I hope Met can show the 1975 Hanna - Barbara , Tom and Jerry show
DirecTV, RUclipsTV, and all of you other cable companies better swallow your prides and add MeTvToons! Weigel is ready to share its new channel with you all!
I couldn't agree more!
Wish if Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, Pac Man, Buttons and Rusty, SuperTed, The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, can come to MeTV Toons, in 1980's Animation
Shirtales Pacman and the Saturday Morning Supercade
While there is the phrase never say never when it comes to getting at least one of the Amblin cartoons on air, it might make more sense that they’ll get them once they get into the cable business. But that also of course gives the possibility of Cartoon Network shows early on Toons as well as other Warner cartoons with no shared licenses and other properties that aren’t owned by Warner that Weigel Broadcasting can afford.
I hope metv toons comes around the world 😊
Actually the most requested cartoons that fans want to see on the channel is Terrytoons. Also, there are currently no plans to bring the Filmation shows to the channel. Only the theatrical Magoo cartoons will be on the MeTV Toons, not the 60s version.
The Fleischer Superman shorts are in the public domain, so MeTV Toons shouldn't need anyone else's permission to air them.
I Have All Fleischer Studios Superman Cartoons as well as All Betty Boop Cartoons on My Smartphone Playlist.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
The expansion will certainly help, but seriously I think they should set aside 30 minutes a week for just a program of classic kiddie TV toy/doll/cereal commercials and have the year of each ad in the corner of the screen. After all, MeTV Toons is more for grownups than for kids; check their current ad lineup! At each break: “We will return after these very current messages!”
They can't due to FCC regulations and also copyright
Many of those retro ads are in public domain, I’m sure. When TV Land began, “retromercials” were a staple.
In part of the 1980's Animation Era on MeTV Toons
1. The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show
2. Care Bears
3. Rainbow Brite
4. The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin
5. Pac Man
6. He Man and the Universe
7. Buttons and Rusty
8. SuperTed
I agree that book burning is never the answer and these cartoons are useful to show how far we've actually come.
If we bury it completely, it's just gonna repeat the cycle
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews That’s the truth. The sad fact is all you have to do is look at the state of the world and you’ll that the cycle is repeating to some extent.
metv toons should have bumpers and coming up next bumpers that are inspired by cartoon network's checkerboard and powerhouse era
They will…. They’re just getting started. Wouldn’t be surprised if the branch out another channel similar to MeTV Toons.
That's a great idea
A good set of rabbit ears has made me a cord cutter and I enjoy MUCH better programming than I did with cable. Especially MeTV Toons.
It's like old school Boomerang, but on antenna
awsome video i cann't wait for all those u mentioned this saturday im ready for the bugs bunny marathon on metv toons
I'm from Guatemala and I grew up watching Americans cartoons❤❤ I love them. I'm so happy to watch our classics cartoons wth only a aired antenna. I would like to watch them in Spanish with the option SAP. ❤❤❤I'm from Camden nj USA
Cartoon Network should be generous and license out their classics to this channel. It's not like they are doing anything with them anyways besides sitting in their vault.
Agreed, especially since CN isn't even airing them
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews That's why I feel that Checkered Past isn't living up to its full potential. Because CN isn't doing anything to let it.
I'm a big fan of the Hanna Barbera original superhero shows like Space Ghost or Birdman

Where are THE ABBOTT AND COSTELLO SHOW (from Hanna Barbera) that we've seen pictures of when the MeTV Toons started being advertised.
HEYYYY, ABBOOOOOTTTT!
Spider man and his amazing friends, spiderwoman would be a good one too.
That won't happen, as Disney owns Marvel.
2:04 Beany and Cecil is Bob Clampett not Fleischers
I wish they'd get more mid-80s cartoons (GI Joe, Transformers, Wheeled Warriors, MASK, Thundercats/Silverhawks, The Littles, Get-Along Gang, Snorks, Mighty Orbots, etc.).
ThunderCats is a must-have
One show Disney owns that they’re doing nothing with is The Tick. The 1960’s Spider Man and Fantastic Four would be awesome too. I highly doubt Disney will do anything with any of these. Now, if I could only find a way to get the channel in Canada.
I also agree on the sensitive cartoons. I’d simply run them with a disclaimer.
And house of Mouse! I wanna see that so bad
But I know it's not likely.
they should update the lineup for thanksgiving to also include in addition to daffy cartoons,
some Foghorn leghorn cartoons as well ,it would make sense cause people tend to like that rooster
have a duck and rooster mixed marathon
MeTV should get the rights to Pink Panther and put it in MeTV Toons because it would fit nicely.
He is comfromed by frndly TV's Metv toons launch day blog.
Toon In With Me on MeTV once did have it.
They lost the rights to the Pink Panther in Fall 2023
Would love to see the Raccoons if they aren’t already on
I could see super mario bros cartoons on the channel someday. Since Dic Production shows like captain planet airs on metv toons. 🤔
2:53 Disney is losing a crap ton of much needed revenue by not syndicating.
Agreed. Warner Bros eventually faced the tough reality that the only way they can combat their debt is to license out their shows to other companies such as Weigel's MeTV. Sometimes a home field advantage isn't the best.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews Agreed. Especially since a lot of what's being syndicated wasn't being used much or at all

@@ArtieRaccoonReviews, and then there is the fact that Jim Henson Productions is also owned by Disney as well.
I really hope Dish carries METV Toons, I live in Louisiana and the only way I can carry it is streaming services, but I'd prefer to watch on cable. Richie Rich is coming to the channel soon and the Scooby-Doo clones are likely to come
Aw yeah! The Harveytoons shorts is finally getting another restoration, hopefully with the original Paramount titles intact this time.
As someone born in 1959, I loved it the other night when Toons threw a curveball and showed a Harveytoon in black and white with the “Matty’s Funday Funnies” logo (ABC TV, 1959-62)!
