Hey Ryan. I just wanted say that I am a huge fan of the channel and love every marvel video you make. With all of the videos you guys have been putting out about Dr Doom recently, I would love a video where you go in depth about the positives and negatives of both of Doom’s previous two live action appearances and say how RDJ could be better or worse. I know that probably isn’t something you like thinking about since you are such a big fan of Doom and also considering how both of his previous film adaptations haven’t been that good, but it’s still something I’d like to hear you discuss over the course of a whole video. I’d also like to hear your thoughts on the 3 previous FF movies. Personally, I think the first two are fine enough. I never read any FF comics so the portrayal of Doom and Galactus doesn’t bother me as much as it would a lifelong marvel fan. The Josh Trank movie I also didn’t think was bad. Again, speaking from the point of view of someone with no exposure to these characters in the comics. The worst part about it wasn’t even the film itself, but also all of the studio interference that occurred behind the scenes. Thanks so much and keep the great content coming.

i thought the Darkhold was done better in 'Agents of Shield' TV show than all the Marvel movies. Wanda's character just seems a little silly going from a balanced character to seriously OP, being able to stop nearly all bullets, energy projections, all physical attacks, and at the same time kill anyone easily. Why "magic" is silly in movies it just breaks any rule with no explanation. And what happened to her character's accent? It just disappears throughout her appearances in different movies.

Doom is his favorite comic book character of all time. And his thoughts on RDJ as Doom have shifted somewhat thanks to Colton pointing out all the incredible ways that they could play on that, thus making the RDJ casting an intentional choice, not just a cash grab because they're out of ideas. For the record, I'm of the opinion that casting RDJ and NOT doing some sort of multiversal Tony Stark variant/mind swap shenanigans would be absolutely stupid. And I think that bringing RDJ in to play a "traditional" Victor Von Doom at the eleventh hour, without any buildup of such an important character in the Marvel mythos is a complete disservice to the character. But if it's a variant type of thing, for the two movies that will end the Multiverse saga AND soft reboot the entire MCU, then there's all sorts of emotional payoff to the RDJ casting AND after the reboot, we can get a proper Doom who can play the role for a long time.
Dr Doom is so powerful he broke the 4th wall to convince Majors to swing on his girl, thus removing him as an option to fight for multiversal supremacy. Now it's his for the taking.

This is crazy, I wrote a theory close to this in the video where you completely expressed the opposite opinion on how it’s not the real Doom it’s a variant of Tony Stark. Where Colton made some great valid points. I don’t think they will just say this doom looks like Tony though. I think it would be more acknowledging than that. Like he stole Tony’s body. I just feel it would be lazy writing there as well as too easy. Maybe they’ll do a what if episode where doom does this? I do like the concept you put there though about it started with RDJ and would be perfect to end with RDJ. Chiefs kiss take right there! Love the idea of an RDJ Doom creating a variant team of the Avengers as his guard. Even before Doomsday was announced I was thinking he’d show up to betray Kang, and upon becoming God Emperor Doom would gather villains to serve as his guard: Venom Kingpin (Kingpin needs to come into contact with the symbiote in the next Spider-Man film), Baron Mordo to have a sorcerer on his side, The Leader, and the female herald of Galactus we’re getting in the upcoming film.
It would be great to have both Kang and Doom share the screen. Kang and Doom are frenemies in the comics. They could also explain it as a Nathaniel Richards variant who came from a far-off future in the Fantastic 4's Universe who also studided the Multiverse and discovered the existence of his own variants. Doom and Kang could work together only to have Doom betray Kang and steal his technology.

disclaimer* I prefer the comic version of doctor doom but I am getting onboard for the new vision of downey doom. ok hear me out on this half ass theory. the idea came to me while watching the the part on wanda being powerful enough to dream walk universes. what if the actual doom (another actor cilian or whoever) from the new fantastic four universe have a battle and doom gets severely wounded about to die. doom being a powerful sorcerer uses his magic to place his mind into a body that is on the same level of intelligence as him. then “permanently” puts his mind into tony starks body from endgame or branched timeline. then downey doom awakes in a new body, new universe but his face is scarred and burnt due to the infinity gauntlet (like comic dooms face). avengers believe tony is dead. downey doom starts jumping universes with his knowledge gathering other villain/hero’s (older franchises actors) get maestro hulk from eric bana era. then would start his master plan of revenge against the fantastic four and decide to play god and take over the multiverse. haven’t thought any further than that just had to type it before I forgot. haha thanks

I feel like showing they will release two Avengers movies as close as they are kinda kills suspense for the first one's release because it kinda gives away they fail in the first one, like in Infinity War. Could you imagine if they showed that they were going to release Endgame shortly after Infinity War? It would have made the snap not nearly as final as it felt at the time.

Woah, brilliant theory! It would be so fitting with RDJ completing the full circle; he's like the anchor of anchor beings. That would give the whole saga an intentional and meaningful conclusion, while also simultaneously ushering a whole new era of juicy juicy money to the franchise of MCU 2.0
DP & W was successful because Reynolds and Jackman do an excellent job portraying their respective characters and the movie is full of love for the fans. If they keep making DEI movies written by people who hate the fans, the fans will keep hating their trash movies.
Everybody forgot the best way to replace and recast Kang as a character that could again become another threat in the future. Doom goes to kill them all and Iron Lad Young Kang (Completely different teen actor) escapes. Tada, Kang both replaced and recast at the same time. In case they need to come back to that later or take off into Young Avengers Territory. They could even have this younger version of Kang be a good guy trying to help the avengers stop Doom, be the one to explain that this is NOT TONY STARK! like the "NOT PENNY'S BOAT" Scene in LOST. A huge WTF Moment that leaves everyone shreeking as Doom pulls Tom Holland's head off.
To the average fan RDJ is Tony Stark so a variant is the most logical way to go, given we’ve been introduced to the multiverse concept. Anything else may be too convoluted, we need a consistent logic, given the initial reaction, it could be rejected by fans, would have worked much better as a surprise reveal.

I just recently had the idea that they should've gotten Edward Norton casted as Doom.
He clearly can pull off characters with masks perfectly.

Imagine if we had no idea, and in the next Avengers movie we see RDJ again and he teams up with the Avengers to defeat Kang. But then right at the end he betrays them and THEN reveals that he was actually Doctor Doom the whole time, leading in to the next movie where he's the main villain.

I feel like showing they will release two Avengers movies as close as they are kinda kills suspense for the first one's release because it kinda gives away they fail in the first one, like in Infinity War. Could you imagine if they showed that they were going to release Endgame shortly after Infinity War? It would have made the snap not nearly as final as it felt at the time.

DP & W was successful because Reynolds and Jackman do an excellent job portraying their respective characters and the movie is full of love for the fans.

Everybody forgot the best way to replace and recast Kang as a character that could again become another threat in the future. Doom goes to kill them all and Iron Lad Young Kang (Completely different teen actor) escapes. Tada, Kang both replaced and recast at the same time. In case they need to come back to that later or take off into Young Avengers Territory. They could even have this younger version of Kang be a good guy trying to help the avengers stop Doom, be the one to explain that this is NOT TONY STARK! like the "NOT PENNY'S BOAT" Scene in LOST. A huge WTF Moment that leaves everyone shreeking as Doom pulls Tom Holland's head off.

To the average fan RDJ is Tony Stark so a variant is the most logical way to go, given we’ve been introduced to the multiverse concept. Anything else may be too convoluted, we need a consistent logic, given the initial reaction, it could be rejected by fans, would have worked much better as a surprise reveal.
