I love the way you say ‘I refuse to be someone that can’t run more than a few seconds without a break’ I refuse to be someone that can’t lift anything heavy’ 🙌🙌 I AM active 💕💕. I got really fit for the first time in a decade over the past few years and it feels so good. My identity is a fit, active , healthy person❤
@@Jessica_Jean heck yah I love this, I am going to try this too! Fitness has been a love/hate relationship for me over the years. I have felt too skinny, too fat, and everywhere in between in my life. But now I am going to build my identity as a strong, active mama! I am surrounded by a caring community of friends who are active and strong in mind body and spirit! ❤️
The timing of this cracks me up because I’ve been cheering myself on for 3 power yoga classes followed by a walk every week this month and I was just thinking how I feel so much more fit right now than when I was constantly telling myself that it wasn’t enough!
So I channeled my dark feminine energy with amazing playlists and putting myself first (not me in reality) and home girl started losing weight and rocking the workouts!
❤ Ah Jillz, another amazing video! If I may add, for reducing friction, RUclips is a huge huge (free) help. Lots of free 28/30 day programs to make you consistent. I started with 28-day HIIT challenge from Growing Annanas. It helped building the habit to keep doing it everyday and I didn't need to think about what to do, what to wear, how to use tools, etc because it was done from home. I just had to prep a sports bra and shorts every single morning and dedicated 30 mins to exercise (10 mins stretch for resting days). After 28 days, I started to explore and try different home workouts, then moved on to different studios for group classes and now I'm proud to say I identify myself as a movement lover. I found a very supportive fitness community at a gym with amazing teachers. I train for strength, mobility, gymnastics (love learning handstand), barre, and yoga for 10-12 hours per week. I love it so much.
I love the idea of saving your favorite podcast for a workout! I do the same thing with cleaning….no RUclips during the week, but once Sunday rolls around, I get to watch all the videos I want as long as I am cleaning house ha ha. It makes me look forward to it and carry on for longer than I would without it. Thanks for the tips! I always learn something from you. : )
Thank you so much! This video has really changed my perspective on things. One of my goals was to try and get 10k steps every day and when you said "I am a walker. I hit 10k steps every day!" something just flipped in my brain and I actually went on my treadmill and got to 10k steps. I haven't been focusing on this goal for weeks so my steps are just whatever they may be that day but you've inspired me to get on with it. Literally paused the video and did those steps haha.
Great video Jill! It’s so true! Once I saw myself as a Pilates girl ❤ I was no longer dragging myself to workouts. I’ve been pretty consistent for a year now 🙌
Another great video. I really appreciated how you spoke about not feeling the same everyday, and the importance of just showing up And changing your workout to your cycle.
Hi girls! Just wanted to tell Jillz and ya’ll that I ended up trying the trainwell app and now I’ve been working out for 6 weeks straight! Thanks for your amazing content lovely❤
🎈 your videos have helped me more than you could ever know. I have been able to change my identity into the person. I have always wanted to become and it’s only up from here and I couldn’t have done it without you and others like you so I just wanted to say thank you and please keep doing what you’re doing!
Thank you for such a thorough and practical dive into this important topic. While aesthetic shifts are valuable, our overall wellbeing is truly the biggest benefit from a consistently active lifestyle. Managing stress better, improved sleep, increased energy, and mental clarity are things you experience quickly….and the body gradually transforms over time. I would love to encourage women of all ages that it’s never too late or too early to create the identity of a fit and active person. I like to believe that every age is my “next level” self on all levels. After having kids and living 5 decades….I am still as fit and slender as when I was in my early 20’s….and I am a woman who keeps transforming on the inside, too. Seeing our healthy habits as a gift to our future self is a motivating mindset. What kind of a body will your 50, 60, and 70 year old self wake up daily in? Each day you “invest” in your retirement, so that you can experience the joy of a healthy body where your health span = your life span. Who wouldn’t want to keep aging, if they knew they were going to retain their happy, healthy self and just keep adding enriching experiences to the mix? It’s time to uplevel our expecttions and then create habits that help us actualize those dreams. Whoever you are, I am cheering for your success!
👠 thank you for this video! I'm in the process of finding myself again and I'm thinking a lot about who I want to be, so this comes at the perfekt timing.
🥢thank you so much for your advice!! I have started implementing it from today. I love your videos, they give me a sense of motivation everytime. Please wish me good luck on my journey! ❤
This is divine timing! Thx! ✨️❤️✨️❤️ Could you do this but for eating healthy? I know it would be kind of the same thing but hearing it said actually helos so much 😊
❤❤❤ As always, your videos continue to inspire me and resonate fully with my goals in life. Thank you Jillz for taking so much time to think about the best ways to phrase things and using great examples to illustrate your points. Your effort is always noticed girlie.
🌹I absolutely loved this video! Identity hacking, setting small attainable goals, reducing friction, and redirecting the focus on bliss-ipline, not focusing on body flaws and body goals, but rather embodying that kind of desired person, makes so much sense. I know what I need to do now. My error is measuring myself everyday and wishing my waist was smaller and my butt was larger. I do exercise but it’s not consistent.
btw I also don't like anyone around me when I workout, as a child I hated group sports... It really is "me time", I see it as an expresion of selflove 💖💗
Thank you for all of these helpful tips! Definitely eyeopening. ❤ I especially loved the behavior naturally follows identity and the affirmations you can tell yourself.
Great video, Jillz! I agree with your point that BEING the fit girl that has her workout scheduled, with her bag packed and ready to go, including my electrolytes etc, is key. It’s easy for me to obsess over the numbers on the scale or my midsection…but getting to do my workout as my me time makes it a joy, not another (!) task. 💯
🌹Omg I gasped out loud when Jill mentioned the study on housekeepers and their health!! I no joke, literally read that study from Harvard a few months ago, and was sharing it with my housekeeper because she is on a journey to improving her health and lose weight!! What an amazing coincidence that we both shared the same study. Mindset is so powerful! Embodying (Jill calls it identity in this video) the persona and beliefs of a healthy, strong and fit person gives you a huge leg up in achieving your dream body (inside and out!)
I really resonate with wanting old lady! I am in the be fit again stage right now. I appreciated your tips of mantras to help you stay encouraging in right mindset. I told the kids, I wanna be healthy and do it in a kind way this time. ❤ Also appreciate how you give yourself grace. Im really thinking about implementing cycle syncing absorb more about it. Have a great day!❤
Part 2, please. 🙋♀️ Thank you for sharing that CoPilot had rebranded as trainwell. Your mini-physical transformation is apparent to us, too, and knowing your goal of becoming stronger this year has served as great motivation for me.💃
I have really been struggling with enjoying exercise. I hate it. Changing my identity from a weak couch potatoe to an active & strong woman is going to be hard. But I want to. And I'd love a Part 2! ❤
16:31 I wanna share my experience, at the beginning of my fitness journey I thought I had to go to the gym and lift weights everyday and I were always drained and felt bad about working out and then I realised that three days a week is enough for me and I started noticing better progress that way.
☎️ So good! Yes, part 2 please! Also, would love a video like this on how to change your mentality around earing habits when you have health issues- maybe a bit of a deep dive on how you were able to be "strict" on your autoimmune eating plan but still staying in your soft and feminine? Love this video!
Maybe I’m in the minority, but I found the music transitions in this video very jarring, especially compared to the soft-spoken natural volume of your voice. It doesn’t feel like a natural part of an informative, in-depth talk like this. Instead, it pulls away from the focus.
@@kimberlylilfox4996we did, to turn the volume down because the music is too loud. 😂 I already use trainwell. I get off the couch. I can still think the music is too loud. It’s a great video, just jarring how loud the music was compared to the other audio.
Hi Jillz, thanks for this vid! It was so refreshing to hear that you used to go from a very active athlete to someone rather inactive. It was the same for me but I've always felt really inadequate because of it as it still felt like I SHOULD be that sport lover when I once had been. I'm glad to hear that it isn't only me 😅 I also love the idea of the identity-changing-behaviour mindset. I've actually never realized that there might be a great correlation between me calling myself "a big walker'' in front of people and the fact that I genuinely love long walks and almost always opt for going by foot whenever it is feasible. That is the very same thing with exercising lol! I am determined to try it and end this cycle of beginning and giving up, too. Thanks! ❤

if you're a bit stingy with your money or you are very careful with it, i recommend paying for a gym membership, especially if it's a bit more of what you'd consider reasonable to pay. in my case, it worked because i refused to let my money go to waste (so i don't skip lol) and i go 5 times a week (because that would get me my money's worth LMAO). that was really helpful until it became a habit, so yeah, perhaps this might help someone else too
