Hi Paul, I would definitely be interested in watching you alter and fit out your garage. By the way the spring you pulled out from the drain pipe on the Audi TT is there to hold open and support the rubber tube and without that the tube will flatten and collapse.
That’s makes sense about the spring tricky to get back in

You've pulled the spring out of the drain tube. This spring gives the drain tube it's round shape. Without it in place, the drain tube will collapse as it's just a light plastic. It's going to lead to even worse blockage and ingress of water. Plus, by sticking something as sharp as a screwdriver up the drain tube, you've probably punctured it anyway. I pity the poor person that bought this car.

I would be interested in seeing the garage build. But I get that some won't but if I was you I would upload if they want to see they can watch if they don't they can just not watch it.
The tt roof looks fab Paul. I think the coil spring will be in the drain pipe to stop it kinking as it bends to the outlet maybe. Scissor lift fab idea. Garage build progress bring it on . Variety is the spice of life .

hey paul great vlog, i really look forward to your vlogs so please dont apologise for how slow things have been simply because most of us know how long some of the vehicle projects take, also i am really surprised how well the paint job came out on the roof of the TT, i think the longjevity of it being inside a garage has also helped it survive and it really looks great! looking forward to seeing your building garage vlog, it certainly would bring something a little different to the channel which can only be a good thing.

Not sure how or why you got that spring out Paul, but it really needs to go back. That will be much more difficult. The drain will not work without it. The tube will just collapse, stick together and then block completely.
Garage update would be good. Wish I had decided on getting a lift rather than a pit. I suppose at the time it was cost! We had a jcb onsite, and it doesn't take long to build a big hole!
The tube was fully blocked, and has already perished, so I plan to replace it

Hi Paul you need to sort out that drain pipe the Spring took out stops the drain tube from collapsing it’s possible it could be even worse great car. All the best look forward to seeing you do your garage.

I'm doing my drain tubes this week. I found a great video showing how to make your own replacement drain tubes using food grade piping and the original end fixings. I have the interior stripped out anyway so I may as well do it while I have good access.

Paul your drain pipe is now needing replaced, the long wire coil you removed from it is part of the said drain pipe.

Hi Paul,top video,the fabric roof dye works very well and covers it perfect.the results are brilliant,the car ramp is a good idea,project garage is worth watching.
I like the coordination of the under the bonnet fittings, they give it a really smart appearance.
Convertible hood looks much better after painting and proofing, so should help with the sale.
As for the 'garage cam' idea, yes please, bring it on.
