ME:A was not a "half baked sequel", though, it was incredibly well put together despite some flaws. Given what's happened to the company, however, I'm very nervy about anything new from BioWare, despite loving Andromeda. Another reason I'm nervous is if EA and the hierarchy are forcing them to do a Rise Of Skywalker; a pitiful fall back on some obsessive fans nostalgia after they whine incessantly about a prior entry. I don't ever want to see Shepard or Liara again. Just move on with new stories - don't wallow in the past.
@@SabiJD Really? Despite some nice new features I felt the characters and more importantly the story for Mass Effect Andromeda were mediocre at best. Nothing like the Mass Effect Trilogy. Everyone I know who played the games felt the same with many not even bothering to finish the story for Andromeda. It was obvious from about 25% into the story where it was going to end. And the less said about the writing the better, still...it did give us one of the worst most laughable lines in RPG history. "I'm sorry, my face is tired."
@@SabiJD I didn’t even say anything about Andromeda. I just said “franchises” plural, which includes film and television as well as games. Although in terms of games, Halo’s sequels have basically killed the franchise, Assassin’s Creed is hardly even about assassin’s anymore (although I guess Mirage has more to do with the actual Assassin Brotherhood, but I haven’t gotten around to playing it yet), Pokemon while still selling extremely well is also extremely lazy in its game design. So wasn’t really talking about Andromeda, just lazy sequels in general. While I actually enjoyed Andromeda, and think outside of the bugginess of the game at launch it is a good game I still recognize it didn’t live up to the standard set by the trilogy of games that preceded it. In order for Mass Effect to thrive this next game needs to be way better than Andromeda
Given the timeline to make good games is so long, the marketing research shows clearly that reminding people now and then "hey! We are working on this!" Is very effective at boosting sales when launch comes. And having a short trailer means they take less time away from development of the game (every trailer requires reaource diversion from actual game deving, so less is usually much better for development when the launch is far off still).

They better not mess with one of my favorite game series. I am going to rage hard if they do. Andromeda was a good example of being too ambitious. Just bring back Shepard and the old crew to continue their story.
Eventually, though, it gets stale with the same characters. You end up with the ridiculousness of Dragon Ball Z (same heros, getting even godlike, to fight ever-badder Big Bads). I hope they leave Shepard be. It was a very satisfying arch, and a heroic ending (albeit clumsily executed at the end of ME3).
If they just didn't make the characters looks like dwarf(I know its base on real life but character scale on ME1 - ME3 was chief kiss) and the character design adjusted a bit it could be a good game. Not perfect but not bad either.
@@gilliantohver3225 I somewhat agree that Shepard had an incredible legacy. She was the leading figure in Mass Effect and I was happy to hear that femshep was canon. Two years since the Liara reveal, eight years since Andromeda and 11 years since Mass Effect 3, and a 30 second teaser is the best we’ve got. I’m getting whiffs of vaporware.
you don't really get how game development works I think. they didn't start on it till about 2 years ago and if you don't want to get an unfinished procut then cry about it being buggy and unfinished, then these comments only harm. they will need time. Probably means nothing but its strange to have the Eden Prime soundtrack at the beginning. Just nice to see a little something. I'm in no hurry to get a Mass Effect game that's slapdash. Take your time, Bioware.
It was a track used at multiple parts of ME3. While there's a continuation and possibility visitation of Andromeda elements, the game should at least be addressing and answering major aspects of ME3 and its future.
Given their track record, it's highly likely to bomb. The people who knew how to make games simply don't work there any more. They'll find a way to make Andromeda feel like a masterpiece in comparison.
Umm... Isn't this a little (or A LOT) of EA "putting the cart before the horse?! FFS, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf isn't even out yet and people from the Mass Effect team got pulled to work on it, while EA fired a bunch of people working on Dragon Age!
I don't know why I am thinking this, but I thought I'd put my theory forward. The N7 we see is a Shepard. But not Commander Shepard. That, in fact, is Commander Shepard and Dr Liara T'Soni's Asari Daughter because they Melded way back in ME1 😊😉 Yes I'm going to say this is probably the biggest Surprise drop of the whole Mass Effect series. We actually play as an Asari. ❤🎉 The only problem with this whole theory is the timeline... so if I go by Canon Years since the melding to approximately whenever this setting took place... that gives maybe 3/4 years in which Liara might have already concieved her child and hid her from everyone, including Commander Shepard. There is also the other Asari in Mass Effect Canon, Shiala. The same Asari Commando Saren & Matriach Benezia gave to the Thorian back on Feros. Commander Shepard also Melded with her so anything is possible 😆😝🤣😅
i just hope to whatever god there may be that this isn't an andromeda repeat i want a true successor to the mass effect franchise its such an amazing series
Love ME and excited for to learn more... But I don't know how I feel about this character design. The N7 decals made sense within world as a military designation on armor and utility clothing. That was part of its appeal. It looked badass and contributed to worldbuilding. This new character design looks like a civilian trenchcoat meant for concealment... having the bright N7 feels inconsistent with the purpose of the character design and feels more for the sake of franchise marketing than carrying on with worldbuilding. This makes me question the priorities of the development. Would have been more exciting to see the N7 on a chest plate peaking out from under the overcoat IMO... Still, this is just a teaser. Plenty more to see.
They have likely been working on this since Legendary Edition released. That's about 2 years. Andromeda got a reveal trailer in 2015 and csme out in 2017. If the past is any indication, this new game is more than 2 years from launch. Holiday 2025 at the earliest

@@TheLeadElitePreach. This is EA were talking about after all
Im gonna wait till its 50% off at least, finished, and with all DLC's, and only then ill consider if i want to get it. Buying game near release you pay the most, for the worst quality product. And since its EA... we can be sure they will try to abuse us by playing on our nostalgia.
On the other hand, if there is no Shepard in the new Mass Effect...I will most likely not be interested in playing. I only played the series for Shepard.
I am excited to view this as additional story and adventures for Shepard. I hope to see this being true.
@user-bl1oz4ri6u femshep isn't canon. Shephard gender is up to player to choose.
it will be surprising, if shepard...he and she are alive!
Im calling it. This is the antagonist of the game.
When all the original developers have left the team it’s a wonder people still get excited for a new game in the franchise.
They just don't know about that or even care.
Guys come on it's not Shepard. If we carefully analyze silhouette and body complexion it becomes obvious that mysterious figure is actually Urdnot Wrex.
No way this game doesn't flop. Veilguard proved Bioware doesn't have any talent left.
For better or for worse still has better decision making than most telltale games.
For the love of god they better do my girl tali right and everyone’s favorite wingman garrus better get a ending worth it for him
I don't know why, but after this trailer I have the impression that Shepard may be the antagonist in the new game.
I'm ready for them to blame fans for their own failings again. And again.
I really want them to continue on after the 3rd game. I know its probably not gonna happen but if they made the last 15 mins of me3 shepard being indoctrinated and waking up after the "choice" they made only to find it wasnt real and the war was still going on. I dont know I really just want to continue with commander shepard. Even the credits scene with the old man talking to the kid hints at just "one more story about the shepard"
Feliz N7 gente 💙💜💙
Preorder now! Base version does not include: N7 Cloak £5, N7 helmet £3. Bullets charged at 20p per shot. Requires always on internet connectivity.
I’m Commander Shepard and this is my favorite store in the Citadel.
I still feel like this is gonna be the antagonist and they’re gonna market around it oly to reveal Shepard later in the game
Idk maybe I’m just thinking too much BioWare never would do that they don’t have that Brain no more
OOOOHHHH MMMMMYYYYYY GGGGOOOOOOOODDDDDD! DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT! N7!!!!!! LITERAL CHILLS
Wish they would stop announcing games years before release.
I get this is a teaser trailer, but what does it actually tease?
Teaser are mainly to attract talent to work on games,it's basically an ad for to say "we're hiring", which is why games get teased years before release
I hope we can continue with Shepard
Me too, Andromeda was awful
Why? He was a bland character. Facts
@@rayromano6249it's sad when you say facts in your own comment since you know nearly nobody will do it for you
As much as I love Commander Shepard I'm ready to move on with another person. I thought Ryder would fill in but Ryder gave me too much "Newbie Adventure" vibes. Really felt like a kid compared to Shepard. I want the new protagonist to be someone thats not a kid and can hold their own leading a squad and the weight of whatever mission they're on.
Dunno, for me it was one of the best main character deaths of all time, and when you'll know he's alive it will hit different
we need more than that to convince us
ITS GONNA BE SOOOO BAAAAD
SHEPARD'S back baby!!!!!!
I literally can not wait for the next Mass Effect game.
…HOWEVER…
You’re literally gonna have to! 😈
😭😭😭
Is that what you said about andromeda as well? Look at the developers behind the game, not the name of the game
@@rayromano6249 Is this the Andromeda team? Because if it is, the game is dead automatically.
@Kratosx23 I mean, most of the staff behind the original trilogy are gone now soo.. yeah you do the math lol
@@MarluxiaX2Yeah the current Bioware certainly isn't the same one we knew and loved from way back in the day.
get ready for a 2 year hiatus and high definition screen shots for the next 2 months
Developing any high budget game takes at least 3-5 years and then it won't be polished. So i hope they take 6-8. What would you expect them to have after under the minimum amount a good looking but not good working game needs ? a full fake gameplay trailer ? please stop complaining about such things cause such feedback makes the suits up high think they gotta force release the game no matter in what state. and I assuem you wouldn't be a fan of that either right ?
The game is in the very early stages of development and likely at the very least 2-3 years away from launch, so of course they won't have anything substantial to show us
@@murphyc15And yet they keep pumping out teasers and stuff, causing hype when the game is still far from being done. It would have been better if they held off the teasers until it was just a year away from being released
@@seal2560 that's how they keep money coming in from investors and keeping the brand name somewhat relevant
Could just be symbolic of a beginning.
So, who thinks this one is going to bomb as well? Taking all bets here!
Given their track record, it's highly likely to bomb. The people who knew how to make games simply don't work there any more. They'll find a way to make Andromeda feel like a masterpiece in comparison.
Happy n7 day commanders!
Let’s be honest this series’s time has come and gone, anything new that comes out is just going to be an elaborate fan game.
Umm... Isn't this a little (or A LOT) of EA "putting the cart before the horse?!
FFS, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf isn't even out yet and people from the Mass Effect team got pulled to work on it, while EA fired a bunch of people working on Dragon Age!
The team is long gone.
No Shepard no buy!
At this rate we're not going to get a trailer until 2026.
That would make sense with the timeline since the game likely isn't launching until 2026-2027
oh my. I'm ready for this.
That's all they made so far.
I don't know why I am thinking this, but I thought I'd put my theory forward.
The N7 we see is a Shepard. But not Commander Shepard. That, in fact, is Commander Shepard and Dr Liara T'Soni's Asari Daughter because they Melded way back in ME1 😊😉
Yes I'm going to say this is probably the biggest Surprise drop of the whole Mass Effect series. We actually play as an Asari. ❤🎉
The only problem with this whole theory is the timeline... so if I go by Canon Years since the melding to approximately whenever this setting took place... that gives maybe 3/4 years in which Liara might have already concieved her child and hid her from everyone, including Commander Shepard.
There is also the other Asari in Mass Effect Canon, Shiala. The same Asari Commando Saren & Matriach Benezia gave to the Thorian back on Feros. Commander Shepard also Melded with her so anything is possible 😆😝🤣😅
Then tons of hate will pour on BioWare from many thousands of fans of other pairs. And many other players will be unhappy
Mhmmm interesting
Please let it be like the original 3 games.
Mass Effect: Starlord Edition
A lawless galaxy to knit back together, as SPACE OUTLAAAAW
I wish they had brought in Larian Studios for the sequel. Not sure if Bioware/EA can ever fill the void left after ME3.
Mass Effect: Phantom Liberty
Star wars sequels all over again.
i just hope to whatever god there may be that this isn't an andromeda repeat i want a true successor to the mass effect franchise its such an amazing series
I know it won’t happen but I would love to play as some of the alien races in the campaign like seriously unless it is Shepard coming back why not
I really need to play as my shepherd. To continue my story.
It's a mix between Thaine outfit, N7 female Shepard and a Cerberus black helmet... Nice! 😂
Nice
The body is walking with a limp
Понятное дело, в плаще воевать вместо нормальной брони. Запуталась и ножку вывихнула.
They have likely been working on this since Legendary Edition released.
That's about 2 years.
Andromeda got a reveal trailer in 2015 and csme out in 2017.
If the past is any indication, this new game is more than 2 years from launch.
Holiday 2025 at the earliest
Actually started work on 2019 according to LinkedIn
Not in the modern gaming world. Cyberpunk: teaser - 2012, realease - 2020-2023. This teaser shows even less than the one from 2022. I would expect the release in 2027-2030.
Wait is this 2015 again? ruclips.net/video/uG8V9dRqSsw/видео.htmlsi=HFkBsy7GUxFLtvRr&t=54 N7 walks away, unholsters a gun, except on ground this time instead of a ship. Also the initial music is from Hanz Zimmer Batman.
They’ve been advertising this game for to long. Just release it or don’t like come on. We can only be excited of these ten second trailers for so long.
Welcome back Mass Effect we missed you
Please don’t make a repeat of Andromeda because there was to much to do I couldn’t continue.
This is Bioware last chance to prove that they're still relevant. If this flops, we can basically say bye bye to Bioware forever
With how bad the new dragon age was im hoping this takes at least another 3 years
is this Shepard's daughter?
Red, Blue or Green?
Man, hearing the music again gave me chills...
Giant collars confirmed
See you in 2029
Eden Prime background music in the first seconds of video ..........
Came back here after the disaster of a game that is DA Veilguard. Don't get your hopes up, fellas. Bioware is a shell of its former self.
This games set to be cross gen for the next generation by the time it’s out
Just give me Jack back, thx.
