- Yeah, you read that title correctly.
In this video, I trained like an F1 esports driver for a week and drove 500 laps of the Abu Dhabi F1 track on the 2023 F1 game.

The best tips if you want to improve in f1 23 or just racing games in general, learn trail braking (release slowly the brake pressure as you turn into a corner) and find your own better braking markers instead of relying on the racing line👍
trail braking is one of the laters things to learn and doesn't have nearly as much effect in f1 23 as in actual sims.
@@rigf1997In this game it might not actually have the effect its supposed to have but it will still make the car more steady on entry and less likely to spin out afterwards
For any beginner as I am myself my first thing is turning off the racing line. Started race room cause it was free and got acc for more competitive racing and just got assetto corsa for the fun. Turned off racing line in all of them first thing and threw myself out there
@@LghtOfficialGreat initiative, the next step after the racing line is the most painful of all: turning off the assists
I started with f22 first thing i did was turning off traction controll and learn it the hard way 😂 i also started immediately to shift manual since its not my first racing game, i also turned off the drs and ers assists since i like doing stuff on the side when driving. The thing is driving without traction controll in f1 22 was so difficult one slight mistake and you were in the barriers, while in f1 23 you can still save it and have a way better feeling and thats why im starting to turn off abs now because i had to put so much focus into traction i was just not able to manage more than that, in f1 23 i can drive a few tracks really good with abs off but im still struggling a bit. Racing line does not really disturb me, I have it on for corners but its more like a little guide until i mastered all tracks, since im still very unsure innterms of breaking points and stuff on Portugal China etc so i guess its really up to the person how much assists they turn off and in which order. I just liked having traction controll off since it just feels better and makes the game more intense than just pressing down a button (btw im controller but ps5 has a really nice force feedback, also a reason why i had a huge improvement from ps4 f122 to ps5 f123, maybe i get a rig in the future)
500 laps in a week is actually ridiculous and edit the video you’re a madman
Ahh man I wish I was that fast I filmed this over two weeks 😅
@@formulagod. at least you still didn’t have to do all 500 😂😂😂
Ive been playing F1 for about 4 years now and it took me 2 hours to beat your time, well done
Progress 😭
@@formulagod. You should definetly remake this video on spa XD
took me about 20mins to beat it 🤣
@@Pina_Coladas69 very nice
Took me about 5 minutes
Btw after 10-15 lap is time trial the game add a little bit of tyre wear, and thats made you a bit slower (hundreads but still can made a big difference, especially in the top)
Really?? That’s ridiculous
@@formulagod.sadly yes, this game is full of bugs (after the last updates my game is crash randomly, and some tracks like vegas i cant play because its didn't loading it)
I was curious to see how I’d stack up here since I never race at Abu Dhabi either. For reference, I’ve been playing F1 games since 21. I’m on controller. I just put in a 1:23.5 on lap 3. Keep playing as much as you can the game gets so much more fun. If on controller a great tip is upon braking, in sync, flick the left stick down and then turn, it provides 1000x more stability though turns on controller. Open up the turns as much as possible, and use custom setups.
great video I love it and please make more videos like this
first time watching you but when i was watching the miracle lap i was genuinely happy
UR AMAZING MAN!! youre so underrated 😊
On controller use the rim of the joystick it makes turning a lot smoother so you can get the right entry into the turn along with making small corrections
Yeah and then I have massive stickdrift
I really liked your training, very good! In fact, I really like this circuit. He's one of my favorites.
That's it! This is exactly how you start playing F1 23. Little by little, slowly, step by step. To learn to drive well, you must train a lot, practice several hours a day, set aside time for this. With a lot of daily practice you learn to be a good driver.
Good luck to the new drivers. But don't forget to practice a lot, OK? Good luck to all of you in your races!
Good job! One thing though, i am pretty sure that pro drivers do practice laps in practice, qualy or race sessions, not in time trial. You can get used to drive on worn tyres, etc, and you will be faster in time trial
Nicely done!!
Few tip
1 cam put camera chake of bhelps a lot
2 watch averge divers
3 watch esport divers😅
4 setup u can copy from leader board
5 slow in fast out
6 from the furthest side of the apex to the apex use al the track
7 just keep driving laps silverstons is the best track to improve overal and get to know setups
8 nice music
9 keep up the work
( and uf ur wondering yes i know wat im doing averge im top 3% itw on al tracks afther like 10 laps i dont use any assist and have been playing f1 from 2016 on i even drove on k&m controller and atm on a steering wheel overal u gohna get to a point were u dont realu care about improving but thats when u have to put the ai like 3-4 nivs higher than normal good luck with the rest of ur f1 game(s) and hoop to see u improve soon )
Well done. Nice improvement but I'm sure you can still improve a lot more and you will if you ever do this again
Based on your driving, it seems like your eyes on on the first corner straight ahead, try focusing your eyes more on the second corner ahead, it helps you prepare a smoother exit
Some advice i can give you is that the brain can only absorb so much knowledge at a time. Therefore next take it about 10-20 laps at a time with some nice breaks in between
Push your left joystick forward when driving, turning so so much easier 😊
This has inspired me so much that i want to do this.
Congratulations
That lap with the music was lit ❤also when you do the donuts how to do it correctly because im on PS4 there's no smoke on Tyres. Ill try later and see but yeah
To be smoother on the controller I recommend you to hold the stick of a controller down all the time. When you are turning just make a move looking like o a boat (or letter U). It should help you to use the whole track without flying from side to side.
gg. in some racing games steering wheel just gives faster lap times than other devices, i think it applies to here too.
how dont u have more views??
good content
Lack of ability definitely doesn’t help tbf
And I play 2013 on a keyboard which makes my fingers ache. With half assists. But tracks like Monaco and China are a nightmare. Bahrain and spa are my favorites
My best lap is 1:22.6, I’m on wheel and pedals and I can’t any better at that time lol I still be trying tho.
Lots of improvements. Especially since the China no rules wr video
I watch your vid constantly
Thank you mate!
The best tip I can tell you is use the revenue from the video to get a wheel setup, that's where you start cooking. Fanatec has a deal rn
bro please do this on monaco or baku, i think it would go hard ngl
turn off all the assists including racing line, use visual queues on track for racing line/brake point. Good effort!
Bro did Alpha Tauri dirty in the thumbnail 💀
Best advice possible is your braking buddy , you’re either 100% braking or 0% , most corners don’t even require 100% !!!
just putting this here before this video reaches one hour
Are you driving with automatic gear shifts? Because from my experience manual shifting saves so much. If you up shift a gear higher, often you will have much more grip than with the lower gear and I feel like it´s much easier to learn than no traction control.
As others mentioned, trail braking has probably the biggest potential to your time.
Also, not a fan of the video title. It´s just clickbait. That´s really not necessary.
can you trail break on controller?
@@driesjansen5001 Yes, if you have analog control.
What I mean with that is that you can adjust how much you push the throttle and the brake with how much you press in the trigger buttons. Both the official Xbox and Playstation can do that, but cheaper 3rd Party Controllers might not have that feature.
see a guy in the top 1 made the fastest lap with all assists.
im really surprised by how much progress you did with a controller, I'm definitely not skilled with them. Time to see if i can beat this and the real lap in Assetto Corsa 😀
enjoyed video a lot. Have you conisdered buying racing wheel ?
Need a sponsor :/
@@formulagod.it depends, you can get a simple thrustmaster tmx at only 200 quid. Or multiple ffb wheels under 100 used. I’d recommend getting one without a sponsor as it’ll make just watching your vids more entertaining along with your good editing (atm watching you drive can be a bit infuriating due to the controller 😂)
I wonder how many laps you need to turn off the racing line
my guy will be winning F1 leagues soon - hmu if you wanna try lol
How can you see your percentage?
what im i seeing? you have 80k views and only 2,35k subs you need more subs!!!
Best tip i could give you us to throw that controller away and start racing with wheel
Did this guy Actually have lucas blakely as his rivaal arounf the end of the vid?
And great video by the way
Sorry I forgot to mention it, I manually set him as my rival learn some of his lines :)
Um... with Max on pole I'll try and enjoy the Abu Dhabi GP... great vid tho, and amazing progress!
bro follow the racing line more lol
not trying to be rude but after enough laps to know the track, braking points and what you do dont have your ideal line turned on. it will hinder you progress following in and not experimenting beacuse of it
Anybody see it says lucas blakely in the top corner at 4.50
nice
try it in assetto corsa, much better game than f1, and it also doesn't have forced taa which is an eyesore
Try to disable assists if you want to be faster
Do u play on PC or co console?
Controller 🥲
traction control off is hard to control.
u re playing on gamepad or wheel?
Controller boss
what game mode was this played in?
Time trial
@@formulagod. thank you
Maybe if you use wheel, instead of controller, maybe you would improve more, and much faster
I did 1:21,900 with 30 laps
First of all did you put the right setup???
Lucas Blakeley’s, probably not really suited for a controller with ABS on but it could be worse
Took me about an hour but i managed to barely beat your time by 0.087
You can check F1 23 TT stats
copyright is scared of bro
how is he getting 2 racing lines?
One is the racing line and the other is your best lap i believe
just want to help out and reccomend copying another esports' setup since it's almost impossible to get into top 25 without any adjustments if you haven't been already using it
i also recommend turning off time delta as it just nerves you out
Title is a straight out lie. No surprise
that was faster than maxs pole lap so u were doing something right, good stuff
The f1 game is not realistic in terms of the lap times
For example the pros are like 8 seconds faster than the real pole
?????
Bro. I'm happy you got your goal but you literally didn't drive 500 laps. I appreciate your honesty in the video as something like that is easy to fake but you could have just been honest in the title also
best tip is to stop racing on pad lol
Nah not really pad is really strong on this game
Gotta get some YT bread and buy a wheel
Nah man with practice u can be very fast on controller
Get rid of any assits
Great vid but I could still beat u if we raced
I honestly think anyone could
@@formulagod.don't worry mate i play F1 game since 2019 and i still suck but slowly improving. It's a slow process, just have fun driving and you'll wake up fast a day, i guess. Anyway i like your content mate
just get a wheel
It's really not the best thing to improve you'r driving skills on a track, please just watch all of you'r laps and see where you won and where you loose time and you gonna be faster in less time
why are you using the assist line brow, this distracts us from the hole point of the video.
Because I’m rubbish mate
No offense but this was dreadful to watch 😅
yeah ik it was so hard to watch. I get around 10k in the world on my first warmup lap after not playing the game for nearly a month, to get 25k in the world after 400 laps is sad. hes on controller but still. I dont mean this is a mean way just so you know.
@@arisk2410 yeah, just horror. Usually get around top 700 itw
So you did not drive 500 laps of one track on F1 23 and we have no clue how much THIS improved you. Thanks for the clickbait buddy, you received a downvote from me, cudoz.
