If you want a real "worst F1 cars ever" list, they'd have to be pretty much all from the mid 80s through to the late 90s. Life (1990), Coloni (1989, 1990 and/or 1991), Andrea Moda (1992), EuroBrun (1989 and/or 1990), Zakspeed (1989), Osella (late 80s), Pacific (1994), Forti (1995), Lola (1997). That's almost an entire grid of 20 cars right there if you only take two cars from each of those teams. Maybe I'd keep Super Aguri 2006 just so we could have Yuji Ide on the grid!
Which wasn't a bad car. It was pretty good aerodynamically, but by that point it was outdated, if Arrows could've stayed afloat and had a decent power unit they would've done okay.
Minardi DO exist still in F1. They are for all intents and purposes Alpha Tauri (or whatever new marketing scheme Red Bull plan to slap on them next.) But it’s the same team in almost every way. Which makes it quite sad that Red Bull are planning to move them out of Faenza and Italy as that is the historical home of Minardi and I think it will lose a lot of its DNA in that process. But still, I really wish they could’ve been called Minardi, because that’s what I still call them in my heart and I’m old enough to remember Alonso in THAT Minardi.
iirc, Super Aguri started the 2006 season with the SA05 which was literally the 2002 Arrows chassis in a different livery and engine and it was absolutely god awful, especially in the hands of Ide. They then brought upgrades to the chassis, with the SA06 which looked way better and was able to slightly compete with the MF1s.
2:50 "the most iconic thing was Heikki Kovalainen's angry bird helmet" you showed the 2011 challenger from Caterham/Lotus Racing, but Kovalainen used that helmet in 2012.
The first super aguri debut that they used before the SA06 for 2006 season is the SA05(which is the Arrows A23,the original one of course). Edit:SUPAHH AGURRII!!!

I liked Senna much more than Maldonado in Williams, although Maldonado was a very fast driver he made many mistakes, while Bruno was calmer and fulfilled his role of scoring points.

True racers; they even lent their mechanics to other teams to help out. I'll never forget Webber's 5th place at Australia when they celebrated like they'd won the Championship. Of the 2010 New Teams, I followed Virgin/Marussia/Manor, they seemed to have some of that same Minardi spirit of being there to race and do the best they could with what little they had, and again had an eye for talented drivers.
If I can give you an advice on RD there's a mod that adds F1 rules to assetto corsa where you can add drs after 3 lap, the gap with the car in front and you can also disable the drs at all
@@blue_scorpio_88 Still not even a bad car in the standards of this list. It was only "bad" because Renault had been and has been held to a much higher standard since they're a manufacturer who'd won the WDC and the WCC just three years before. There's about 20 cars just from the 2000s that deserve to be in this list more than the R29. It scored 26 points. It wasn't even the worst car in 2009 ffs.
@jax4113 Alonso got all 26 points, and only because he is one of the greatest drivers in F1 history. Which means out of 34 chances to score points in 2009, the R29 only scored points 8 times. It was a terrible car, only Force India and Toro Rosso were worse.
Cars in the last 25 years I miss are the 2005 Minardi because if it wasn't for the Us gp they wouldn't have gotten a point, the 2018 Williams a big disapointment when you think about how just a year prior they still got podiums, the 2016 Sauber only beating Manor because of a crazy Sao paulo grand prix where Nasr destroyed his carrer since because of it Manor went Bankrupt due to losing p10 in the constructors Championchip, the 2014 Lotus falling so far back after their great 12 and 13 campaigns and the ugly nose, the 2007 Honda nearly losing to Super Aguri, 2008 Red Bull being beaten by their sister team, 2002 Toyota finishing last behind Minardi and Arrows who went Bakrupt in the season, the 2000 Prost being handicapt by the Peaugot motor, the the 1999 BAR with Villneuve not having finished the first 12 races and Salo and Zonta also having a lot of retirements and finishing last 1998 Williams from titel winner to barely third with only 4 points infront of Jordan, 5 infront of Benetton and 95 points behind ferrari i could probably count another 10 or so cars but I leave it there
Got to love the 2014 Caterham. It's a dog but any car rocking a strap on like that has to be loved. I like the 2015 Manor as well just because it was so bad. Pretty much the same car as the 2014 but with a new nose to meet the regs which resulted in a car that was a second slower than the 2014 one
I remember F1 2011 being such an easy game that I was able to win the championship in that Lotus my first play-through of a season. Awful car but at least the livery was good.
tbf when I think of the worst F1 cars ever the 90s spring way more to mind than most of the Caterhams or Manors and stuff, like Life 90, Andrea Moda 92, Fondmetal 92, Pacific 94, Simtek 94, Lola 97, Tyrrell 98
What a great concept for a video! Perhaps videos of the woest F1 cars by decade - but some obscure cars from the 1970s, 80s and 90s wpuld be virtually impossible to replicate. In saying that, I definitely feel there's support from these comments for another video looking at a slightly earlier period, to include cats from Life, Coloni, Andrea Moda, and the Lola Mastercard,l you mentioned. I'd like to offer my oen suggestion: the 2001 Toyota TF101. It was Toyota's test car, designed to test all the systems and reliability. However, it was up to 6 seconds per lap off the 2001 pace set by the Ferrari F2001 of that season. I have a real soft spot for the TF101 and its V10 engine.
My favourite is definitely the 2015 Mclaren Honda, apart from giving us the legendary meme: " GP2 Engine GP2 AHHHHHHH"🤣 I really liked the sound. My least favourite is the 2010 HRT because I thought Senna deserved a better car, obviously he wasn't as good as his uncle but still he was a good driver. I remember the 2006 Super Aguri because Ide is probably the worst F1 driver in the history of the sport and also since I'm italian I remember the 2011 Lotus/ Caterham because it was the last car that Jarno Trulli drove.
Super Aguri was a strange beast. On the one hand, Yuji Ide. On the other hand, they arguably came up with the double diffuser before they folded and their engineers went to Brawn and Toyota... so imagine a strange world where Super Aguri debuted as the only car with a double diffuser in '09.
The 2010 Virgin is my favorite because it's the first car I drove in F1 2010, my first F1 game. I remember putting this shitbox on the podium with a good pit strategy
What you said about Fernando Alonso's Minardi from 2001 is not true. That wasn't the last Minardi that didn't score any points in a season. In 2003 there were also no points for Minardi.
1:47 You should pixelate the front otherwise RUclips will probably ban the video. If this car drives into the back of another car then the video will definitely be blocked
Got to do the slowest f1 race ever using the 90s pre qualifying scrubs and qualifying stragglers. Be a history lesson for the modern fans not aware of the true *hit boxes
Would it be possible to have a formula 1 season but it only features all of the terrible cars? Like it could cover 2-3 years worth of cars and take the bottom few teams to make one roster of absolutely terrible cars. It would be like a formula lemons championship or something.
Fair point. I will say, there isn't Mods for all of them, also anything before the 2000's where reliability was horrific would make for a 100 Car Grid.

Of the 2010 New Teams, I followed Virgin/Marussia/Manor, they seemed to have some of that same Minardi spirit of being there to race and do the best they could with what little they had, and again had an eye for talented drivers.
I love the fact you couldn’t see the chaos behind you😂
“George Russel had a great year”
yeeee guess who got the single point for the team that season
that's a fucking devious grid, goddamn...
If I can give you an advice on RD there's a mod that adds F1 rules to assetto corsa where you can add drs after 3 lap, the gap with the car in front and you can also disable the drs at all
It's very interesting to compare different cars from different
Year
2015 McLaren livery was lit
The 2009 ING Renault should've been there
It scored podiums
@@jax4113it only scored one......and it was a terrible car.
Cars in the last 25 years I miss are the 2005 Minardi because if it wasn't for the Us gp they wouldn't have gotten a point, the 2018 Williams a big disapointment when you think about how just a year prior they still got podiums, the 2016 Sauber only beating Manor because of a crazy Sao paulo grand prix where Nasr destroyed his carrer since because of it Manor went Bankrupt due to losing p10 in the constructors Championchip, the 2014 Lotus falling so far back after their great 12 and 13 campaigns and the ugly nose, the 2007 Honda nearly losing to Super Aguri, 2008 Red Bull being beaten by their sister team, 2002 Toyota finishing last behind Minardi and Arrows who went Bakrupt in the season, the 2000 Prost being handicapt by the Peaugot motor, the the 1999 BAR with Villneuve not having finished the first 12 races and Salo and Zonta also having a lot of retirements and finishing last 1998 Williams from titel winner to barely third with only 4 points infront of Jordan, 5 infront of Benetton and 95 points behind ferrari i could probably count another 10 or so cars but I leave it there
Can someone explain to me what the gray bar is next to the accelerator and brake telemetry?
Thank you so much :)
I like the 2012 HRT, Caterham and Marrusia.
I was fully expecting Spyker to make an appearance 😂.
Even the jaguar f1 car
Got to love the 2014 Caterham. It's a dog but any car rocking a strap on like that has to be loved.
I like the 2015 Manor as well just because it was so bad. Pretty much the same car as the 2014 but with a new nose to meet the regs which resulted in a car that was a second slower than the 2014 one
maybe 1992 Andrea Moda and 1990 Life
I remember F1 2011 being such an easy game that I was able to win the championship in that Lotus my first play-through of a season. Awful car but at least the livery was good.
The 2019 williams scored one point by Robert Kubica and he had way better season than russel
Here we realise how big are current F1 Cars compared with early 2010s and 2000s F1 Cars
tbf when I think of the worst F1 cars ever the 90s spring way more to mind than most of the Caterhams or Manors and stuff, like Life 90, Andrea Moda 92, Fondmetal 92, Pacific 94, Simtek 94, Lola 97, Tyrrell 98
2003 Minardi was also pointless... could have done a Fisichella in the race at Brazil apparently, but Verstappen spun off while in the points
Cant do a "Worse F1 cars ever" race without THE worst car, the Life L190
Life F1 car from the 1989 season, tried to introduce a W12 engine to f1 but failed miserably and is probably the worst F1 car of all time
Always quite liked Manor/Marussia. Was very sad to see them fold
And the cucumber challenge was legendary
Where was the Life F1 car from 1990, the least competitive car in F1 History
2:17 That happened thanks to Jules❤️
I think takuma sato could have been Japan's Max Verstappen if he was given a chance, he won two Indy 500s not many racers can say that
My favourite is definitely the 2015 Mclaren Honda, apart from giving us the legendary meme: " GP2 Engine GP2 AHHHHHHH"🤣 I really liked the sound.
Dude, props to you for getting a shitbox like that on a podium
What you said about Fernando Alonso's Minardi from 2001 is not true. That wasn't the last Minardi that didn't score any points in a season. In 2003 there were also no points for Minardi.
Ngl the 2019 Williams looked gorgeous.
“Most iconic driver” yet you haven’t selected Nikita Mazepin 🤣 arguably the worst driver in recent years
In this shitty 2019 Williams Robert Kubica scored all of the team points.
where is Lola T97/30,Life L190, and Zakspeed 891
1:47 You should pixelate the front otherwise RUclips will probably ban the video. If this car drives into the back of another car then the video will definitely be blocked
The 2014 Caterham was slower then GP2 cars on some tracks
Now this was truly entertaining! I like backmarkers too, interesting choice of cars there! 😇
I don't even need to watch to know the 2019 or 2020 Williams or haas will/should win
why do you shift so late? why don't you follow the lights? i know the limiter is much higher but the lights are set for the best shifting revs.
Got to do the slowest f1 race ever using the 90s pre qualifying scrubs and qualifying stragglers. Be a history lesson for the modern fans not aware of the true *hit boxes
Andrea Moda would sweep the competition lmao
The worst F1 car was 100% the (2017 Sauber) with an previous years Ferrari power unit and no updates or money to afford tyre blankets
Would it be possible to have a formula 1 season but it only features all of the terrible cars? Like it could cover 2-3 years worth of cars and take the bottom few teams to make one roster of absolutely terrible cars. It would be like a formula lemons championship or something.
I could do that
I sort of liked the Caterham's livery up until their final year.
"Ever" is doing a LOT of heavy lifting in this title. So many awful cars missing - should have restricted to one car per team.
Fair point. I will say, there isn't Mods for all of them, also anything before the 2000's where reliability was horrific would make for a 100 Car Grid.
>Set to autumn to match the time of year
You forgot one car
The infamous Life L190 W12
You should have added the Mastercard Lola just for fun
