@@ErgoDog I think you may be somewhat slow
@@matt01506 The lore, but the feeling is very different. If you are into games I would recommend you to play RE7 or RE2Remake, they give the best idea of what the feeling of RE is like. RE7 if you are into first person, RE2Remake if you are into third person. RE2Remake being the most loyal to the franchise of the two.
Welp Kat, that's the Halloween costume sorted for this year, 2 A1 sheets of paper and some string 😂
"he's thinking,not a bad way to go"😂😂😂
"I have a good feeling about her. She's going to live!" - Bold statement, considering that Michelle Rodriguez is basically a female version of Sean Bean at this point :D
The zombie design in this movie is outrageously good. So is the music and CGI quality. Choreography too. A truly unique zombie flick.
I appreciate these films more now than I did 10 years ago.
Kat: "Is this a zombie flick?"
Internet: *huehuehue frog*
Kat, I just wanna say, I love watching your reactions to these movies. I apologise for enjoying seeing you react the way you do to jump scares and the like, but it is very entertaining and I just wanna take a moment to thank you for putting yourself through this.
I'm not sold on Kat not liking horror 😂😂😂
Hilarious reactions Kat you always have me in hysterics with your quick wit.
Defo watch the sequels.
Kat has certainly warmed up over the year(s), especially regarding zombies.
@@artandcard yup 😀😀
That's why it is Katwatcheshorror instead of Kathateshorror!!
Thank you for ACTUALLY PAYING ATTENTION TO THE MOVIE unlike so many other reactors. You actually pay close attention and don’t talk over the entire movie. I appreciate your reactions and Resident Evil is a such a fun movie!
I love your face, it's so expressive
Keep doing your thing ❤👊🏾
You have got to be the most animated reactor ever, a delight to watch .
Colin Salm9ns, the guy that got diced, was also diced by the Predator's net in Alien Vs Predator.
Also, the commentary for this movie, where Milla Jovovich speaks, is hysterical. 10/10 would recommend.
04:16: "Is this gonna be a 'tech is the real evil of the movie' movie? Or is there someone watching all these cameras?"
Yes.
04:41: "GAH! ... This movie is trying to get me."
Uh. . . it's not *trying.*
14:08: "I trust her, somehow. I feel like she'll be fine, you know? I think she's gonna live."
That's Michelle Rodriguez, who stands alongside Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton, and Sean Bean in the ranks of Chronically Killed Actors. So. . . no.
35:07: "They need to run, like, way faster." 35:12: "Watch it close all the way!"
Conflicting advice, Kat. Bad horror coach ;)
In fairness, Michelle Rodriguez was the first to be bitten, and the last to turn. And she got bit a LOT. Her character is crazy resistant to the T-virus!
Great timestamp sampling. Kat is so funny. Love the "chronically killed actors" idea. Like the Redshirt brigade from Star Trek.
@@6022 I think it would have been a far more satisfying ending if she and Mila both survived to confront the undead together side by side. That would have been epic. It would have subverted the final girl trope.
@@beestingza The problem of "We'll kill our characters for dramatic effect! ...oh, wait, those characters were kinda cool..."
@@6022 Exactly!
Not gonna lie, I genuinely love these movies. Even the bad ones. This movie was my first exposure to Resident Evil. I still remember seeing it in the cinema.
True story. The premiere weekend of this movie, my wife and I went to see it. The theater had a projection problem-right around the part when Alice first encountered the infected dogs-and the movie was sooo interesting even just up to that part that nobody in the theater wanted to leave to go inform the theater employees, just in case it came back on while they were gone and they missed something. LOL! Everyone was, like "Can you go tell somebody?", "Can you?", "Can you?" It was funny. The movie was stopped for about ten minutes (which seemed like an eternity, lol), but needless to say the theater was alerted to the problem and they fixed it. We all got to enjoy the rest of the movie, and to top it all off, all got a free movie pass for our next visit to the theater!! It was a great day! 😄
I don't like to talk about ppls looks, but your hair is stunning! my edit: i was in the bathroom when you said the hair was an effort...hilarious. of course i rewinded to catch up
When you finally realise that Kat's 'almost' constant chatter during the movie is her coping method for all of the horror and jump scares.
which this film is extremely light on
She's at the pun stage. I think that's about an intermediate level of horror appreciation. 😂
Really? I thought she was faking these reactions honestly
@@danielpeckham5520I see ppl say this on pretty much every reaction channel I watch and while it’s not outside the realm of possibility, it seems like more work to fake a reaction than it would be to just do a real one
@@AmbassadorKat it may just be her personality, I could be wrong, though I watch alot of reaction videos and don't usually say this, just her reactions seem rather exaggerated alot of the time, oh well, maybe it's just how she communicates.
"Total Recall" meets "I Robot" with a little "Night of the Living Dead?"
Still, surprisingly good!
The first Resident Evil movie is a genuine fun and very watchable movie.
"Hes thinkin, not a bad way to go..." Kat youre hilarious!
Well wonderful Kat, now you have to watch the 5 sequels and I'll watch you watching all of those ❤😀😀😀😀
I've seen these movies a million times, but I really do enjoy watching you watching them "for the 1st time" it makes me lmao, but if only you could here me yell "Watch Out!!!" 😅🤣😂
11:08 Coincidentally, I was watching this while making a salad. 🤣
The DVD commentary is hilarious on this movie lol
Fun fact, the bruises you see on Milla Jovovichs back at the end of the movie are real. 😵
I assume she got them during filming?
@@toddhill7483 exactly, it was mostly due to the metal grating on the train with the licker.
this movie (and subsequent franchise) is probably my biggest guilty pleasure movie there is...I am a fan of the game franchise, and well aware of how this movie (these movies) has(have) so little in common with the game(s) but there is a part of me which will always love the kitschy resident evil movie franchise.
post script...
I hope ArmenAstra will one day play the Resident Evil games. ;)
Kat; This can't happen, surely?
Dr. Rumack; Yes it can, and please don't call me Shirley.
No need for any hate, I already hate myself enough for even thinking of that joke LOL!
I thought of it at the same spot.
So far I count 3 occurrences of that joke... including my own. 😁And that's not counting her Patreon. She reads all the comments, odds are she'll get so sick of seeing it that she might consciously avoid any future use of that word altogether. 😂
I wish Kat would start another comedy channel. She'd be so funny doing comedy reactions.
👏………👏…………..👏…………………..
Haha, good Airplane! reference.
FYI: Milla Jovovich (Alice) performed her own stunts, the bruises and blood on her during the train sequence was from real injuries during filming.
"It's all coming back to her now.... Celine Dion style" 😄😄😄
I absolutely loved watching your full reaction on Patreon on the day you posted it.
This was an okay movie elevated to a heavenly degree by the astounding vision of feminine strength and loveliness that is Milla Jovovich. After the first film they all sucked pretty hard, but Milla carried me through six of them. *God bless her.*
That laser scene is absolutely brutal. Pretty iconic though, so much that they added some laser hallways to the games.
24:57 - To this day my wife and I joke around with each other, and copy this line in the movie anytime either of us have a problem seeing something. "I can't see! I can't focus!!" LOL.
Just discovered you and already thrashing the content. Add these epic flicks to the watch list: Pitch Black and The Hallow
The Iconic flying kick xD
"Parkour!" 😁
Don't give Kat ideas!
when i say this was my childhood, ommmmgggg i'm soo happy you've started this saga!!
KAT!! CRITTERS!! one of these days you'll thank me.
This must have been tough to edit a lot of the marilyn manson score which was included on the soundtrack is probobly still protected by some label you can tell its heavily chopped still very enjoyable though! You're the best!
As a fellow leftie, I'm surprised she got that fountain pen to write at all. The struggle is real.
No smudging 0/10 on realism
The original (PS2) Resident Evil 2 is my all-time favorite video game. Love it, love it, love it!!! Terrific reaction, Kat. As for recommendations, consider "IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS" (1994) "PRINCE OF DARKNESS" (1987), or "NEAR DARK" (1987). They're all tingly good fun, and who doesn't enjoy a good tingle?
If you ever do merchandise, you have to do t-shirts that say "THAT'S the TRUE horror of this movie!"
I've watched this movie many times and seen that shower scene many times, and not once did I notice her hair was not wet 😅 Kat is great with details
Omg hooray! I'm one of the people who suggested this!
Hahahaha I had just seen the "party light" pretending to be a camera when you mentioned it hahahaha I lost it 🤣
2:25 "This can't happen! Surely."
Me: It can happen. And don't call me Shirley.
Oh yes, please watch them all. 🥰
All of the Red Queens efforts to keep the infection contained and the humans just keep opening the hive up out of curiosity. 🤦🏼♀️ What's an AI to do!
Yes, all the sequels are indeed fun.
I must say Kat and Ms.Movies they both really have the best jumpscares reaction
The music of this movie is amazing. Marilyn Manson did a great job.
I love your reactions, especially to my favorite movies. Please, please, please do the rest of the movies they are all really good.
I love that Kat couldn't guess most of this movie :). Kat, please check out The Relic (1997).
The music is awesome. Hearing that intro just took me right back 20 odd years!
We should watch them all, they get crazier the further in, this and Underworld are worth watching the sequels.
No. And you should be ashamed for even suggesting this.
Agreed. I loved em all, despite the negative comments that no doubt will follow this one! 😁 Watch all six please!!!
Absolutely. Great movies. The story lines can get a bit hard to follow at times but no denying they are good action flicks.
i second watching them all, except the 6th one which is like bad fanfiction or a soft reboot right at the last minute, completely rewriting the whole story (in a really bad way) for no reason.
Stop telling people they should feel shame for what they enjoy. @@IXSICNESS
YESSS!!! Please do watch the rest of the sequels, it'll be super fun to watch'em with you!! But also The Skeleton Key!!! Lol
Took you long enough but it's never too late until it's too late... Oookhhh I'm gonna love your reactionsnto the whole RE franchise ❤❤❤
I thought all of them were pretty entertaining, but the first three are the best ones. My personal favorite is part 3 "Extinction", but there are definitely good moments in all of them.
Wait what? Kat games?? 😮 not knowing of such things until right now, THATS the real horror!!! 💀
Alice-The Fifth Element.
Ray-Avatar, The Fast and The furious Series
Check out the movie Deep Blue Sea(1999).
This reminds me of a great horror film, not saw, about 6 people trapped in some type of house with all kinds of ways to die, and u have to figure out puzzles to get from room to room. Luckily, the group has an autistic savant guy, great with memories and numbers!
This movie is call Cube, from 1997.
