Loved the story of Lucy! I saw the update on Lucy and her triplets on the Arm's family channel. It's truly wonderful and heartwarming. This story would make a great children's book.

The story about Lucy brought tears to my eyes and if it wasn't for the love in peoples heart like Jimmy I would still be left abandoned. I was found by my mum Priscilla when I was left near a dumpster and although mum had a very tough life she took me in and raised me. At the time mum was struggling with her transition from a man to a woman and had a severe drug addiction but since she found me it kind of brought meaning to her life and she realised she needed to mend her ways and be the woman she knew she could be and step up to being a mother to me. She saved my life and in ways I think I saved hers. Now grown I had the opportunity last year to repay that love and organise and pay for her transitional operations. Im so proud of my mums journey and owe her everything in my life. God bless you mum.

In our last big drought (We live in Texas) I adopted a herd of 17 deer, and fed them corn every day! They looked terribly thin when I started feeding them, then I got my neighbor's involved, and several of us began feeding the starving deer. They made it through the dry winter; those deer have never forgotten us, and now several give birth to their foals in our yard every spring. Thank you, Jimmy and Chris, for blessing the lives of God's Deer Little Creatures in trouble!

We've raised a baby deer, ours was a buck, and once he got close to 2 years old he left one day and never came back. But it was great while he was living with us. He was let out every morning, and every day just before dark he would come paw at the back door for us to let them in, and he also chose his spot to sleep, and it was in the closet in the master bedroom. lol. He was just like our dogs, and they even played together every day until he got his first rack and started using his antlers for playing. The dogs didn't like that. lol.

Fishermen and Hunters are the best conservationist. I grew up in South Mississippi. Jimmy Houston, Bill Dance, Roland Martin, Paul Elias, and all the great Bass Fisherman! Too many to name. Watching you guys when I grew up kept me out of trouble. I stayed on the water and in the swamp. Except every time one of you would come out with a new lure, I had to buy no matter what! I just started looking at your page because somebody mentioned you. I am a 59 year old black woman that lives in Conyers GA. I lost my foster mom in June of this year. I thank you for sharing these videos. It's has taught me there are some good people in this world . I wish I could fish with you. IAM a CHF patient. My doctor's has told me to live my life to the fullest and enjoy. My so called bucket list is full.

He had open heart surgery which did help but he had other health issues kidney failure diabetes I hope that you are enjoying every day and living loving and laughing sending you prayers and a virtual hug 🤗 from 🇨🇦 ❤️

She was an amazing animal. I have never seen anything like Lucy. I cried out loud when I saw Jimmy come up on her at the lake when she passed. So sad to lose Lucy.

You remind me of my late uncle who was a hunter and wild life protector. He raised more than one orphaned dear and even foxes. He was such a good person, and so are you.

Love the story and loved your shows as a kid. For our honeymoon we rented a house boat on lake Amistad. One night we had a doe and fawn walk out on a long point. The doe left the fawn and rather than back tracking on land she swam across to the other side. She did that both nights we where anchored there.

I love, love, LOVE this adventure of you and Lucy! I had a mamma deer, we named Mrs. Limpet (she was lame on one of her front legs).. she would bring her babies to me every year and I fed them all .. potatoes, grapes, tomatoes, lettuce, tortillas, you name it.. I even had the local grocery store saving me boxes of wilted produce for them.. She had twins every year. And I would see her and the babies at the end of my driveway and I would call out... come on Limpet, come on babies.. and they would run up the drive way and I would feed them. The best wildlife experience ever!

My sister checked out a dead skunk to make sure that it was dead. It was dead, but it had several tiny babies with it, all dead but one teensy, tiny very dehydrated one still alive.
We called up a skunk rehabilitator in another state and he told us how to take care of him. We had to bottle feed him and rub his tummy with a Kleenex in order for him to pee.
In our state it was illegal, with a huge fine to raise him, but we did anyway.
He was unbelievably social and cuter in his appearance and antics than can be described.
We finally had to let him go. He was letting out his smell. We took him to a safe place and let him go with lots of food spread about. His name was Skunky. I shall never forget him.
Jana......I rescue baby squrrels and release. They r awesome. I to wish I’d get a call for a baby that needs me. Last one I saved was Hurricane Harvey baby with broken leg. He did good. I’m ready for another also.....

I grew up on the farm I now own in Wise Co Texas ( Park Springs ) and I never had to worry about asking for a pet as a child, my mom would adopt any creature ( Fox, Rabbits, Squirrels etc ) that came along and I’m sure had a deer like Lucy had of came along I would have had the pleasure of raising it. Good show my brother.

Hi Jimmy! Lucy is precious! I helped 3 orphans survive last year when their momma Elly suddenly passed. They were 3 weeks old and terrified. They would stay n the wild, but come visit, or I would go find them. They were too afraid to take a bottle, but would eat little apple pieces. One disappeared in late August. The other two are doing great and come see me every day now. :-) I've been giving my deer friends snacks for about 4 years now, and have a group of 25-30.....most are named, and a lot of them let me pet them. If your deer are like mine, Lucy will go into the rut and might be gone for a few days, but should come back. When mine have their babies, they keep them hidden for about 3-6 weeks, then start to bring them up to meet me. What a fun time that is! I hope Lucy will do this with you. You have an incredible bond with her, and your love for her beams across your face!

I first saw Lucy on the video when Daniel Arms and Houston came to fish with you!🎣 I live in northeast TN and have been feeding a small herd of deer for the last 4 years. If they aren't waiting for me at feeding time, all I have to do is holler for them a time or two and they come running over to me. They aren't scared of me. However, if someone else is with me, they are very skittish. They even know my red truck. If I'm out and about and one sees me, it's no time til she comes scampering over to me house! Thanks for telling us the story of Lucy!😊

You have added so much joy to my life Jimmy!! I had to put my little dog Andy night night 2 weeks ago yesterday. I live alone and have never been alone. He was a little wire haired dachshund. 14 1/2. Born and raised in Cape May County NJ. I owned and operated a Bait, Tackle and marine supply store as well as a charter bussines and salt water fly fishing guide service for 28 years.
But when it got cold, I'd close up shop and hit the woods.. Breading Sporting Dogs, Deer, Duck and upland bird hunting has always been my get away from the fishing job.. Tough life right..? As a new Utube viewer my searches brought me to your channel and I wanted to commend your life long efforts to promote sport fishing, the industry that has supported my family for my whole life. I'll continue to support your endeavors and appreciate all you've done for our beloved outdoor sports. Lucy is EXTREMELY LUCKY first, not knowing for sure if she got any colostrum but having lived she must have gotten something and is so lucky she was born at your place.

We fed her supplement milk made for deer , goats, elk calves, ect. So she was raised with what she needed and has lived almost 22 months longer than she would have, so far! Hopefully she will enjoy a long happy life!! Thanks Deby, appreciate you. May God Bless! jimmy
Hey Jimmy!🙋🏼♀️. My dad thought you were an awesome fisherman. He farmed for a living and when he took a day off it was to go and sit on a water wagon in the hawg pen at a local lake! When I graduated high school we took our senior trip to what was called Fin and Feather! I was told that your place was close by. We rafted, or 🛶 down the river. He thought all of you were " the man"!!! Never missed very many fishing shows.
My dad passed in '05 from prostate cancer. But he instilled in me a loving nature for nature. He brought me many wildlife surprises. One being a baby badger. Cut while little but mean as junk yard dog when older.
The best gift he gave me was a love for fishing! He always wanted a boat , but in later years he, my brother, and others would go to Lake Fork and take the wagons. Fish for a week or a weekend depending on weather.
Well I was raised fishing as you might guess. I would spend hours on the wagon behind him teaching me to fish and " be still.".
My personal best is 8llbs and 1 oz.! Not much to brag about except I won a local tournament against 12 men! It was the first and the last of it's kinda. Lol!😉
Watching you with Lucy feeding the pond peeked a interest!!!
We all have to give back to mother nature, and in return it gives back to us!

Mr. Houston, very few people have a way with words. Jerry Clower was the greatest I've known. You Sir, also have that gift!! While you aren't going all in for comedy as he did, your storytelling is outstanding!! To tell a story of that length, that contained that much information in a way that kept the listener truly riveted and spellbound until the end, is extraordinary!! Thank you for taking the time to share with us!!! I just realized your story caused me to fall in love with Lucy, and I'm sure many others!!! With all the multimedia now days, people forget just how powerful a great story from a great storyteller can be!!!!!

@@TwinEagleRanch Thank you Jimmy for taking the time to answer my question I have saved many different animals myself doing so has been extremely rewarding owls a lot of reptiles the California kingsnake and gopher snakes are fun to escort away from the roadway a dozen or so regular sized possums and one hugemongus one that was at least 30lbs it refused to get off the roadway it just sat there and hissed at the bumper of my car on the most dangerous curve on Grizzly Island rd my little sister was with me it was very funny it was soo big it would have damaged my car. My greatest rescue was an adult flat coat retriever two days before my spinal fusion I had just gone thru the I-80 Carqinez Bridge tollgate and got up to speed limit when a large black object was tumbling in front of me i had locked up my brakes stopped i got out and all traffic had stopped with me just waiting for me to pickup this roughed up dog and even exit the freeway "PEANUT" was a dog worth rescuing so I took her to the vet and dropped her off I was never able to meet the owner that was a very long time ago but just thinking about it gets my heart racing like it was yesterday Iam certain rescuing these baby deer will stick with you forever just don't shoot Lucy's boyfriend she'd probably hold a grudge if you did keep yourself safe and healthy and enjoy life

@@TwinEagleRanch late one night I had come across a doe that had been hit on a freeway offramp I pulled her away from traffic and noticed she was lactating she had already given birth and I spent 3hrs looking for her baby near that 3hr point a tiny little fawn jumped up and bolted around the corner and through the fence of a gated community I was exhausted and hungry and went home I tried my best

Lucy was one of a kind. She was part of your family & sent from Heaven. We have had many deer through the years, drop off their babies in our backyard (shrubs) while they went off to feed. We left them alone but always insured that when Mom came back she received a bowl of fruit, nuts, etc., just in case. The Moms' always came up to our sliding door looking in - I just love them. They are Gods' creations just like us.

I'll tell you why I just subscribed. I'm 65 and have hunted and fished all my life.........even worked many years retailing and wholesaling shooting sports equipment. So of course I was familiar with your name...and the sunglasses. I can remember selling fishing lures and such endorsed by you. That said, I had never heard you speak. And when you did on this video, I saw a man who loves wildlife and has a big soft spot in his heart for nature. It always puzzles people when people like myself...and probably you as well...profess our love for creatures like deer and yet hunt them as well. To me, it's just the way things are here on Earth. I tell people I look forward to heaven where nothing will have to die so that I may live....because Jesus already died for us. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. You seem like a real "stand up" character...........and I am usually a pretty good judge of that. May Lucy bring much more joy into your life!
