Growing up in this small town has its positives and negatives. I was proud to show Bernardo around my small hometown. Every young person who sees this, who sees how you live your life after growing up in a strict church environment has hope that “it really does get better”. (I noticed that was a Baptist church...🙄)

Ok it’s a few hours later and I’m back on the porch.....I’m heaving just a little (small sobs) Thank You for your words....I can’t tell you how much they mean to me to read....Mark was truly a “light” in my life for some time...He was EXACTLY like Adam & Bernardo except he HAD to have a Much Harder Exterior....He had a TRUE GIFT where sarcasm was concerned....I would have easily put him up against some of the toughest Corporate Financial Banker”s that I worked with on a daily basis and Everyone Involved would have Thoughly Enjoyed Themselves ~ Banker’s Love A Good Banter.....I told Mark So many times If He Was Really Good I’d Let Him Loose At My Work...And He would get Excited...I Went As Far as Inviting Him to Lunch one day.....So I could keep the Schdick Going & Mark motivated....He made it as far as Main Reception, His Eye’s were ABSOLUTELY Sparkling when I was informed he was waiting....the Consolation to the Let Down was I took him out for a Great Lunch @ The Coffee Mill on Yorkville (great Slovak Food) a small table in the Courtyard on a sunny day, quite hidden from the Bustle & the Beat of Finance....I told him we had to “evacuate” the Plan because we got a new ProBanker Mgr. He would loose his mind over (2 days prior to lunch) Scott ~ Quite Breathtaking ~ Married & a bit of a Floozy....However if he Looked at Mark the Wrong Way I knew I’d have to Kill Him...And “the Plan” had to Remain of Utmost Importance!!!! ~ Mark Understood ~ :):) ~ I haven’t told that story for a Long Time....Big Smile....Thanks Again for your comment “Why are People the Way They Are” It has Always been my Belief that “they” are that way Because They Can....Why can they....Because for the most part “We Let Them” Evolving The Mind Game at an Intellectual Level to where We Meet Them is KEY...”They” don’t Always want to be CAGED in their own MINDS, They want Adventure just Like You, Adam & Bernardo...and unless it’s an Organized Community I have seen on Many Occasions MAGIC HAPPEN right in front of my eyes....Just Food For Thought....Have Yourself a Good Day. ~ Just Really Curious ~ What country/city are you from ??

Good evening guys, Thank You once again for sharing a part of your lives with us. For me, try to draw inspiration from various sources in life, you guys convey so much, love, companionship, respect, ideals etc and I try and make things better for myself. It’s been hard for me the past several years as my husband has been working out of the country for 6 years now. To say I miss him is such an understatement. I love this video. One of the things I soooo appreciate about your channel is Adam sharing things about his Christian background and being gay growing up. Please share more of this kind of thing, it’s always something that helps others. There are literally thousands or even millions of young gay boys who grow up hating themselves because of religion.
Nice to see your home town Adam. I always feel conflicted when I head home. There’s something super relaxing about arriving home, but something that agitates me as well. Aw you guys! I really felt proud of you for kissing Bernardo in front of your old church, Adam. It was pretty brave and sends a message that a kiss is simply an expression of love. Pure and simple. I'm a small town gay as well and seeing you return to your roots and having your loving family around you, allowing you to be yourselves, was so heartwarming.
My father was pastor of church...so I went through same at my church...so many memories. But now my mom gone and dad moved away, sometimes I miss church. Just not the bad stuff. Love you guys

It might be useful for you. It was hard coming out in a small town because it was looked down upon. Sad to say, it's still like that there.

Hey guys, unfortunately we aren't able to go back to Brazil until all the legal work is done. Also, Bernardo's past is difficult. He has shared it with me but is not ready for the whole RUclips world to hear it. It's not easy sharing our "family laundry" to anyone. I was vocal about mine because I had always wanted others to see how harmful therapy was and to help young kids and parents. I don't want to speak for Bernardo but with time, he will open up more about his past. I have photos to look back on. He doesn't have that pleasure. It's difficult to explain. Hope that explains a little more.
When we went to his hometown, we had full time jobs so we didn't concentrate a lot on the production quality of our videos we do nowadays. We do always talk about how we haven't really captured Bernardo's upbringing and his town where he grew up in. A lot of those videos were introducing his family and the competition.

I related to so much of it even though the small "town" I grew up in was actually a neighborhood within the borough of the Bronx in NYC.I also had a lot of religious influences ----I also had the city 20 minutes away. I have been watching your channel for about a year and even though I know Adam's background, this episode hit home your uniqueness. LGBTQ people are defined by their sexuality, its the only thing that ties us all together. Our community is incredibly diverse but Bernardo and Adam take this sexuality and marry it to family and religion unlike any other RUclipsrs I've seen. For a long time I thought a lot of people were watching were because of the bodies but until this episode I did not make the connection between religion and family and the sexuality that defines us. Thank you.
Andrew, wow, thank you for your comment. My purpose in life is to spread awareness of the harmful sides to conversion therapy. This is a part of me and I want to share to others my experience. My family is my life and my sexuality is my life. I had to find a way to marry the both of them together. I am extremely blesses to have accepting parents who love us for us.

Adam vc é um guerreio. Imagino como foi pra vc crescer sendo gay e tendo toda essa pressão religiosa sobre vc, a cidade estudo mais. Aqui em salvador não é muito diferente. É como dizem a cidade do carnaval, do axé mas extremamente preconceituosa. Muitas vezes vc é olhado com desprezo. Imagine crescer numa família de militares como eu. Nunca é fácil. Deus é maravilhoso e colocou o Bernardo na sua vida e o amor de vcs é simplesmente maravilhoso. Aprendi que Deus se manifesta no amor, então pode imaginar que lindo saber que ele está aí abençoando e protegendo vcs. Beijos no coração e obrigado por partilhar suas memórias.

man just watching your short trip around that town i could feel my anxiety rising from the claustrophobic prison that it represents for gay people...I lived it and never will go back. the forced religiosity...trapped in air conditioned suburbia. its another world, one where anyone who doesn't fit in is permanently ostracized, if not hunted outright. Adam I too grew up in southern Baptist church. I struggled with being gay and judge. I even had to give a testimony saying I left a gay lifestyle. I was living in known sin of the flesh. For me, try to draw inspiration from various sources in life, you guys convey so much, love, companionship, respect, ideals etc and I try and make things better for myself. It’s been hard for me the past several years as my husband has been working out of the country for 6 years now. To say I miss him is such an understatement. Aw you guys! I really felt proud of you for kissing Bernardo in front of your old church, Adam. It was pretty brave and sends a message that a kiss is simply an expression of love. Pure and simple. I'm a small town gay as well and seeing you return to your roots and having your loving family around you, allowing you to be yourselves, was so heartwarming.

Hey guys, unfortunately we aren't able to go back to Brazil until all the legal work is done. Also, Bernardo's past is difficult. He has shared it with me but is not ready for the whole RUclips world to hear it. It's not easy sharing our "family laundry" to anyone. I was vocal about mine because I had always wanted others to see how harmful therapy was and to help young kids and parents. I don't want to speak for Bernardo but with time, he will open up more about his past. I have photos to look back on. He doesn't have that pleasure. It's difficult to explain. Hope that explains a little more.
When we went to his hometown, we had full time jobs so we didn't concentrate a lot on the production quality of our videos we do nowadays. We do always talk about how we haven't really captured Bernardo's upbringing and his town where he grew up in. A lot of those videos were introducing his family and the competition.

I related to so much of it even though the small "town" I grew up in was actually a neighborhood within the borough of the Bronx in NYC.I also had a lot of religious influences ----I also had the city 20 minutes away. I have been watching your channel for about a year and even though I know Adam's background, this episode hit home your uniqueness. LGBTQ people are defined by their sexuality, its the only thing that ties us all together. Our community is incredibly diverse but Bernardo and Adam take this sexuality and marry it to family and religion unlike any other RUclipsrs I've seen. For a long time I thought a lot of people were watching were because of the bodies but until this episode I did not make the connection between religion and family and the sexuality that defines us. Thank you.
Andrew, wow, thank you for your comment. My purpose in life is to spread awareness of the harmful sides to conversion therapy. This is a part of me and I want to share to others my experience. My family is my life and my sexuality is my life. I had to find a way to marry the both of them together. I am extremely blesses to have accepting parents who love us for us.

Adam vc é um guerreio. Imagino como foi pra vc crescer sendo gay e tendo toda essa pressão religiosa sobre vc, a cidade estudo mais. Aqui em salvador não é muito diferente. É como dizem a cidade do carnaval, do axé mas extremamente preconceituosa. Muitas vezes vc é olhado com desprezo. Imagine crescer numa família de militares como eu. Nunca é fácil. Deus é maravilhoso e colocou o Bernardo na sua vida e o amor de vcs é simplesmente maravilhoso. Aprendi que Deus se manifesta no amor, então pode imaginar que lindo saber que ele está aí abençoando e protegendo vcs. Beijos no coração e obrigado por partilhar suas memórias.

man just watching your short trip around that town i could feel my anxiety rising from the claustrophobic prison that it represents for gay people...I lived it and never will go back. the forced religiosity...trapped in air conditioned suburbia. its another world, one where anyone who doesn't fit in is permanently ostracized, if not hunted outright.

Adam I too grew up in southern Baptist church. I struggled with being gay and judge. I even had to give a testimony saying I left a gay lifestyle. I was living in known sin of the flesh.
