All the years the Fairlane was produced was such a stylish and beautiful car, yet very affordable for most people.

Notice the gap around the Falcon boot (trunk) lid when he closes it....

It seems odd that they splurged for color TV ads but featured white cars with gray interiors.

So all the people who paid $142 more for last year's Fairlane 500 are feeling like they got screwed.

I thought Charlie Brown's first TV appearance was the Christmas special. Instead, it's a series of Ford commercials the Peanuts gang did.

Cars were more affordable, dependable and simple. Most repairs ere done under the shade tree.

They sure weren't more dependable. They hated to start below minus 10 degrees F. They vapor locked above 100 deg. They had 15,000 mile tires. Batteries lasted 3, maybe 4 years. 4 years for shocks or mufflers. The Sears ( wards, Pennies ) catalog sold dozens of pages of car parts for a reason.

3:22 - you don't have to worry about recovering from an injury in a front on crash, that steering wheel column will just go through your heart and it's over like that.

Did you notice the poor fit and finish at 4:54? Huge gap in the trunk lid. Pray this it never rains. If it does, that trunk will be one of the largest capacity aquariums in the automotive industry. Ford Junk.
