    I love your cinder block vice! Genius! The suspense was killing me. We've been waiting months to see what's inside. That matrix we have here on the coast is some hard, nasty stuff. The Pecten s turned out super cool. I'm glad we had some fun in the off season to warm up for when the good season hits. It was a pleasure to be out there on the beach with you guys and especially an honor to be there for River's first visit. Great video, looking forward to the next hunt!

      Now that I know what they look like, I can spot more of them! I'm excited for the winter season for sure!

    Wow! You’ve got me wanting to break open some rocks!!! Tons of fossils around me but I’m still searching for that really good fossil spot. I’ve found some pretty cool coral and crinoid fossils near my home. Kind of random though I haven’t found a good source location. Going to be a few weeks before I can post anything else 🤦‍♂️ I shouldn’t have downloaded the software update. I can’t post to RUclips from my phone anymore. I’ll figure it out eventually but my birthday trip to the gem and mineral show is probably never leaving my phone 🤷🏻‍♂️ Going with the camera and the laptop from now on. But it’s probably going to be a few weeks to get all that figured out. Anyway… this was a fun video! I’m binging rockhounding RUclips videos tonight to raise my spirits. Thanks for the love and support Kyle. Rock on brotha!!!

    That was neat. You should make a mobile for River. Thin the back of the shells down, put in a hole and hang it up. Ta da. Thanks for sharing and ozone fine arts for passing on a little knowledge. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒⛏🧜‍♀️

    How could you tell this specific rock was a concretion with a fossil inside and not just a rock weathered down by the waves?

    • @WorldofRockhounds
      @WorldofRockhounds  2 года назад +5

      It comes with frequenting the same area and trial and error when collecting. Looking at colors and sometimes the shapes too. The round ones are easier to spot for me.

    Hi I live in Arkansas and here we have “Rolling Stones”, or “dinosaur farts” as that’s what my mom loved to call them, but they’re small, black, and mostly round rocks. I’ve wanted to crack them open but I don’t know if they’ll have fossils in them, they might as one I have has a nautiloid fossil going through it. But I’ve also

    • @WorldofRockhounds
      @WorldofRockhounds  2 года назад +5

  • @Johnfor3
    @Johnfor3 2 года назад +2

    Man get a bucket full of sand to set that in when you are trying to crack them if you wet the sand it is as hard and concrete and it holds the stone in place.

      @@gypsyfreedom9836 The best time to go is after the storms because they are usually in the wall (which we can't dig out) but often the will erode out and be at the base of the wall. That's how I found all mine. Just had to be patient!

      You should check out Malaambo Fossil on RUclips. He rarely picks up a concretion without a fossil inside. And he tells viewers what he sees that indicates there is a fossil inside.
