This was fun Bryan. Always a surprise! You must have been sore after sitting in the rocks for a few hours. I think for me, doing the splits would kind of be relaxing (if I was sitting on a cushion). 🙂⛏️🪨

Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Been many years since I went our and searched for fish fossils. You looked like you had a blast and "netted" several great finds. Even a poor quality or partial fossil would thrill some fledgling pebble pup!!! I think all of us rockhounds should make "pebble pup cups" or small collections for little kids interested in rocks. When a new baby is born into our family ... I make them a rock collection and write out a little story about rockhounding in our family ... for when they are old enough to get into rocks.

I have a rare blistering autoimmune disease. 8 years of prednisone and experimental meds...etc. These videos have helped reawaken memories of good times, revisit old haunts, and allow me to experience it again. Bryan, some of those would look cool if you put a piece with a fish or two into a deep rustic wood frame. A pretty easy DIY project using free, weathered pallet wood. Even better would be some thicker barn wood that has turned grey. It would stand out brightly against the dark walls of your living room. (At least I think it is your LR that is painted dark blue)?
Cool fossils. Something I want to hunt for someday. I think there is a quarry like that in CO. When I lived in Lakewood, CO., I heard someone talking about it. That was almost 45 yrs ago, so I'm not sure if it is still producing.
