  • I found this weird concretion a few weeks ago and it proved to be the most requested fossil to prep from that video. It was a very, very difficult fossil to prep but I'm happy with the result, even it if was a bit unorthodox!
I don't think I've ever had to use that much much B72 on a fossil before! I'll be heading off on a river adventure soon so stay tuned!

It's so amazing how knowledgeable you are to be able to spot these incredible fossils. And it's also amazing the painstaking labor that's needed to find the hidden creatures without causing damage. It has to be incredibly difficult to maintain composure.

It's a ammonite.. almost all fossils you see in the museum had to be broke to be repaired and put back together

The formation is a bit young for ammonite, turns out it's a Nautiloid

Have you ever removed all of the rock from a fossil and reveal the whole crab or whatever is inside??

I'd love for you to narrate some of the scenes, the recording is great but the time lapse isn't ideal especially for savory parts, also the music is a little too upbeat and unsettling, part of why I watch is your voice and the noises of your surroundings are relaxing, aside from fascination. Maybe the things you notice as you go along, techniques, methodology, past experiences in similar situations. Keep up the good work!
