To best understand this rendition is to understand the event. The Nobel Peace Prize is being awarded to an Iranian woman fighting for women’s rights jailed so far for for 10 years of a fo year term. Her husband and twin 17 yo children are in the front row accepting the award on her behalf. AJ is singing this emotional version to them directly.

One of the most memorable experiences of my life was seeing John Gary perform live in Seattle, WA, when I was 20 years old. He had such a powerful and beautiful voice that filled the whole auditorium. During the break, he sat down on the edge of the stage and played his guitar, singing Unchained Melody with so much emotion and passion. It was a sublime moment that I shared with my wife, and I felt like we were the only ones in the room. At that time, I thought to myself; how could anyone top that performance, but 56 years later a 17-year-old Angelina Jordan just did.

Some background on the Event: As you may know, Angelina's grandma Mery Zamani is her greatest inspiration and is Iranian. This Nobel ceremony is to honor Narges Mohammadi who is currently serving a 31 year prison sentence for supporting human rights in Iran. Accepting the award are her two children, who have not seen her in 9 years. The song was purposeful in that it was in a 1955 movie called Unchained, where it is about a man imprisoned longing for his love ones. Angelina has performed Unchained many times since the age of 8, but this is the most reverent rendition by far. Angelina is facing Narges' children singing " I'll be coming home, wait for me". This is a tremendous honor for Angelina, and Angelina thanked the orchestra for trusting her in the Arrangement. Thank you and Happy Birthday Alison.

It can't be understated that this song is VERY popular, therefore Angelina's performance will be listened to by more people. We need to be sure as many as people as possible will learn about Narges Mohammadi.

This performance of hers is charming and wonderfully intimate, she made this legendary song perfectly suited for the occasion of the tribute to Narges Mohammadi's story! I was moved to see and hear Angelina singing in such an incredibly mature and charming way 7 years after the last time and in the same studio and certainly also with some of the musicians who accompanied her as a child, when she took her first steps towards his musical future. G'day, Alison. Recently, Angelina posted a photo of herself and Delta Goodram at the grammy after party, and a few months before one of herself and Margot Robbie, so hopefully they let her know how amazing Australia is and that she needs to visit us soon. Hopefully she does before she gets too big as i would love to see her perform in a more intimate concert setting like the ones she has been doing in The US and Norway.

Absolutely phenomenal performance from our Queen of Jazz and soul, Angelina is so honoured and proud to be performing at the Nobel Peace Prize award in her own country Norway with the Norwegian Kork orchestra, this is the second time Angelina has performed at this event, the last time Angelina performed at the Nobel Peace prize was in 2014 where Angelina was around 8 years old singing ( What A Wonderful World),Angelina has collaborated with the Norwegian Kork orchestra on several occasions, once when Angelina was 10 years ago with her arrangement of ( Back To Black) and with her arrangement of ( Summertime), Angelina has a live concert in Las Vegas on the 29th February, I’m travelling from the United Kingdom to attend the performance, cannot wait to see Angelina live again, great reaction thanks!!

She's been in LA since she was 12 years old. The whole family packed up lock, stock and barrel, minus dad, and moved their base of operations to LA. They did go back to Norway at least once a year for the first 3-4 years.
Norways royalty was seated about 12 feet from her. How proud they would be of her, as am i and most people worldwide would be.
