You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. Angelina's family take really good care of her and besides all that, this kid has a head on her shoulders that's way beyond her years. I think her biggest influence in her life is her Grandmother because she was a child prodigy herself and she's knows all the ropes and pitfalls . 1. Angelina started singing when she was one and a half.
2.Angelina first time in a studio is when she was 6 years old singing the Tom Jones cover 'I Who have Nothing.'

Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on RUclips. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz.
Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate.
At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on RUclips went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a RUclips video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on RUclips. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On RUclips, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. I am 65 years old, and I grew up listening to my parent's generation's music from the '30s, '40s, and '50s with all of the jazz and big band singers, crooners, broadway performers, and popular music artists. Then my own childhood in the '60s, my teenage years in the '70s, all the way through to today. Angelina is by far the most versatile vocalist I've ever heard, with literally one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. I love all of the past (and present) icons, legends, giants that we are fortunate enough to have recordings of, and I feel blessed that I have lived long enough to hear Angelina. She is a singing prodigy with not only gigantic talent, but with an enormous heart filled with humility, love, and compassion. A genuinely remarkable person. With all the gimmicks that are used in what is known as music today it is so refreshing to come across a being that does not need auto tune, lightshows, dancers, outrageous costumes, bands, or orchestras to cover their weaknesses because she has none. AJ can perform a Capella, or with one or two instruments to follow her lead and give you chills with each performance. I have always enjoyed all genres of music, and being 75, I have experienced the best the industry has to offer, from the early 50s, to 2023, but I have never been moved emotionally in the past anywhere close to what Angelina Jordan does from 7 to 17. When I heard Celine Dion perform in a tint in Québec when she was a child, I predicted she would be the next world superstar, and the rest is history. Celine did not sign a record contract until she was in her early 20s. David Foster, who made Celine a star flew to Norway after Angelina wone NGT and tried to sign her, but her family wanted to stay in control of her future. Angelina, at 13, appeared on AGT and getting worldwide recognition signed with the largest record company in the world at age 14, Republic Records. The story is that Monty Lipman, the CEO, and known as the Star Maker, personally signed her even without meeting AJ, he was shown a video of her performance. When AJ was very small, she meets a girl on the Steet in a foreign country that was weighing people with a bathroom scale to make money to buy food, the girl did not have shoes, so Angelina took her shoes off and gave them to her. AJ stated she would not wear shoes while performing until ever shoeless child had shoes to wear. That was her grandmother they showed standing at the end. Her grandmother made Angelina's dress, and it was by listening to her grandmother's jazz records as a child that she developed the advanced style you will see if you watch her earlier performances.

Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 yrs old after starting the competition at 7 yrs old. The youngest winner of any Got Talent show on the planet. She had to wait two years because you had to be 7 yrs old to enter. She started with a rendition of Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' which she just infused with Billie's soul. She followed this by another Billie classic with a pitch perfect rendition of 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella. There is no way to explain how good Angelina is. I’m in my seventies and have followed music all my life. Angelina is the best singer I’ve ever heard. Second place is not close. She covers five or six genres beautifully, usually with her own arrangements as you heard today. Pick anything from age 7 to now at 17. Her next AGT performance was Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road. It’s absolutely stunning. She again mesmerizes the audience into silence. But just listen to anything…😊

Alison, you have been introduced to a once-in-a-millennia musical talent whom can sing in any genre. Angelina is a bona fide musical genius and a vocal chameleon. She wrote composed and recorded four songs by the time she was twelve years old. She is the youngest Norwegian citizen to have written a book and have it be published. Angelina was nine years old when she wrote her book, “Between Two Hearts”.
Angelina has been creating the arrangements of the covers she sings and her original songs since she was seven years old. Her catalogue of cover and original songs is currently at 180.
She is currently seventeen years old. Her birthday is January 10th.
She was fourteen years old when she signed with Republic Records in August of 2020. Her paternal grandfather passed away in 2018 and soon after she wrote a song in memory of him. The title of that song is, “Million Miles”. “Million Miles” was her debut single with Republic Records. It was released in November of 2020.
On May fifth of this year, Angelina released another song with Republic Records, but this one is from her upcoming debut album, which according to Angelina, is to be released very soon. The title of that recently released song is, “Love Don’t Let Me Go”.
Angelina calls her fans angels. There is video of Angelina being interviewed for why she sings barefooted. Angelina tells the story of living in the middle east as a very young child. One day while out walking with her mother when she was six year old she saw a barefoot young girl, about her age, with a scale and whom was weighing people for money. Angelina was curious as to why she she doing that. She approached the little girl and asked her why she was weighing people. The little girl explained why she was weighing people. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to do in her life. The little girl said that she wanted to be a doctor, but being so poor she said that was not likely going to happen. The little girl took a fancy to Angelina’s shoes. Seeing that the little girl had no shoes Angelina took of her shoes, which were a pair of green boots she liked very much, and gave them to the girl. The little her asked Angelina what she wanted to do with her life and Angelina said she wanted to sing for the world. The little girl the told Angelina that she will pray for her dream to come true.
It is for that reason why Angelina is lovingly and affectionately called by her fans, “The barefoot Princes”.

As you will discover A.J. has been a star since she was 7 years of age and has performed all around the world since then at many charity events as well as the Nobel Peace Awards. You will find that Angelina has songs that are covers which she will change a little to be age appropriate. Makes a cover better than ariginail in a lot of cases. She Realy brings out the story of the songs that other people haven't quite done. She has also earned her self a lot of respect from other artists. Angelina has written a few of her own songs. She is a fantastic Story teller in her own and cover songs. Even Xmas songs. I got to hate Xmas songs as heard same old ones year after year.

When I heard that she won "Norway Got Talent" when she was 7, and after I was blown away by THIS performance, I immediately searched RUclips to see if any of the NGT performances are online. I was not disappointed to see all FOUR of her NGT performances! She auditioned with Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday" which deeply affected all 4 judges, and me. I literally had to open my eyes to make sure that Billie Holiday was not on that stage! I used to listen to BH when I was in high school and college.
