Nice video! You can change the settings so that each drink's name is shown on the screen. Press settings (bottom left corner), then press settings button (right top button), then press the arrow button on the right side button, then press product names. I hope this helps!
A Jura seller told me that you don’t need to use the milk cleaner every cleaning session. 3 time a week is enough, the other sessions you can use only water. Now it’s even cheaper 🎉👍🏻
For milk cleaning just select milk froth from machine and connect the tube to glass so it sucks hot water for quick rinse right after milk drink. So you basically never have to do the deep clean with tablets
Had this machine for almost 2 years and never had a bitter coffee, this machine is good for light and medium roast, I use it on the finest grind setting and the highest strength and it’s perfect, dark and oily beans is a no go, even the medium beans are punchy and amazing in flavour, instead of pressing the preselected drinks I use the espresso and milk button separately which makes a better coffee
Machine is great. Only problem is that it cleans and rinses so often that you need to replace the water filter more frequently that could have been avoided with a separate water tank without filter only for the cleaning.
Ive had manual machines for over 35yrs, my first being a Saeco. I’ve also had several automated coffee machines over the years and found them to be fantastic, until they go wrong ! There’s always something that eventually goes wrong with various sensors everywhere. I now prefer my manual machine which is a Rancilio Sylvia and a separate Rocky grinder. The boiler in the machine can be removed and easily serviced, the grinder is also easily serviceable. 😂😂😂 Great review. I guess that’s the equivalent of an electric razor with side trimmer. 🤣
You can adjust the time the frother is working for each type of drink. There is also an option to just produce milk froth. So you could do that before or after your drink is made.
Hi. Same machine. May I ask what your grind settings are? And how many coffee beans for the strength. 3 coffee beans? 3 and a half? I cannot find a good non bitter setting. Thank you sir.
I’ve never had a bitter coffee, strong yes but never bitter, light and medium roasts are best and dark and oily should be avoided. I use the finest grind which is perfect for espresso, a less fine grind by one or 2 notches, anything less it can tastes sour weirdly
@@zahirmulla6715 what specific settings? The grind is the finest or second finest or third? What coffee bean strength as shown on the lcd display...the 2 bean or 3 bean?..I am asking for specific settings and then I will do the same. Since we have the exact same machine we can compare exact settings.
@@billbrown994 my apologies, the finest grind setting and then full strength for espresso has been perfect for espresso making, then I add 22 seconds of milk. 60ml of espresso
I was advised to fill it with at least 2 scoops of ground and the sensor will pick it up. Doesn’t seem to work still defaults to beans. At this stage I have to completely empty beans to use ground decaf which is annoying. Let me know how you go
No. There is only one hopper for whole beans only on the top of the machine. My wife prefers decal coffee, so I have to grind her decaf beans in a seperate grinder. Then, when making her decaf coffee, I tell the E8 to use her pre-ground coffee that I load into the chute, instead of grinding regular beans from the hopper. The procedure for using ground coffee is described on page 15 of the Jura E8 manual which you can download from the Jura site

It's possible to show the drink names on the screen through a setting in the menu
OMG! If not for Christmas this would have been the best thing that happened this month! It sure is buried in there.
In the setting you can put the names of the coffees on …then it will say under every drink what it is exacly ..

What a cool toy. Thanks for the tour.
You can add text for each drink from the menu.....

How can you make more froth on your coffee?
You can adjust the time the frother is working for each type of drink. There is also an option to just produce milk froth. So you could do that before or after your drink is made.

Can you tell me if it chooses ground coffee over beans if the machine is filled with both?
I’m only a couple weeks into ownership of an E8.
It is supposed to. I haven’t tried it yet, but I need to in the next few days as my dad drinks decaf and is coming to visit.
I was advised to fill it with at least 2 scoops of ground and the sensor will pick it up.

Does it come with Wi-Fi module?
No, you have to buy that separately
