Offered for sale is this very attractive Super Beetle from Volkswagen, a 1972 model in Butternut Yellow with Black interior. This Beetle has been nicely tuned by the prior owner, with a 1600cc dual port crate motor, professionally remanufactured transmission, all new bushings and shocks, 4-wheel disc brake kit, lowered front spindles, and a new clutch - it drives better than any Beetle I've seen in the last 20 years, and attains highway speeds with ease and stability - it was made to drive right. The exterior paint is good quality, and all of the weather strip on the car was professionally replaced, with the doors, hood, and trunk closing perfectly. Before paint, the trim holes on the car were shaved and welded, including the front turn signals (now inside the headlights), which give this Beetle a very smooth and subtle look. The chrome Empi wheels offset the rest of the car nicely, as does the classic cargo/surfer rack on top. The interior seats are original and in great shape, as is the dashboard, headliner, and trim. There is no rust on this Southern car on the body or underneath, and the original pans and channels are intact and solid. All in all, this is an exceptionally running car that's a joy to drive, and a collectible that's increasing in value. Do not miss this one!

Another blast from the past, and this '72 VW Super Beetle sure is a result of it here. I dig the roof rack @ 2:15. Also, I never seen those EMPI custom rims before, but @ 2:25, they looked really sweet! .....and no Haley, you've said it just fine.

Timeless classic no doubt!
Consider additional driving practice sessions and when combined with driving without shoes you would likely be much smoother. Racing shoes are flexible and made with very thin soles so the driver has great pedal feel which appears fairly close to being barefoot. Thus no shoes is the most cost effective option since you're not racing and we definitely know Leyton isn't. ;) Enjoy and be safe!

All right video. I mean the kids did a great job, but VW nah. Especially after owning an E Class. No ac, would suck as a daily driver.
No AC can be a dealbreaker. It's not too bad with the windows down though!
Missing the bumpers and chrome trim ain't cool. Also the aftermarket mags should at least resemble the originals, but unfortunately these don't.
She sit a bit too close to the pedals and therefore does not lift the beautiful🦶🏼off the clutchpedal properly and in time before hitting the throttle. If the gearbox has seen it's best days it is not easy too change gear from 1st to 2nd in one quick and smooth motion without muscle it through so you have to do it the old fashion way and doubletap the clutchpedal....First change to neutral release the clutchpedal press it down again and engage the stick into Second gear ( evtl. revmatching especially on downshift with non sync gearboxes )and release the clutchpedal again and you are into 2nd gear👍 ...Them Beetle engines is easier to drive if you let them out properly before shifting to the next gear so when you engage the engine into next gear you don't loose too many revs when you gonna climb the reveange again.
It is also beneficial because traffic tends to tailgate such a slow car so you gotta work it to accelerate well.
The old fashion Standing pedals does not make it easier whether it is a vintage Porsche or a Beetle...
The upside is that it gives driving pleasure at a much lower speed than a modern car....😍😍keep up the good work ladies and Bill too.

Omg you didn't like driving this, they do take a bit off getting used to, and no power steering means you do have to grab hold of it, but a nice car it would be worth a fortune in the uk.
