    If they're hiding store names, they're probably trying to stop people looking for the same store off ebay. Pretty pathetic.

  • @Michael-fw5ef
    @Michael-fw5ef 11 дней назад +19

    I just want them to notify us of our store's sales threshold. We all have a threshold that Ebay assigns us, that we can't go over in terms of sales, and Ebay should let us know what that number is. It's important for them to admit the truth.

      @@JoeKyser I am talking about the secret limit that they won't let our sales go above each month. You might be limited to 2K per month and another seller might be limited to 4K per month in sales.

    • @JoeKyser
      @JoeKyser 11 дней назад

      @Michael-fw5ef why even be secret when most sellers have a limit they know about? At least I think they do. That must suck to be one of those people. Makes you wonder why they wouldnt want to make money. I dont even know the citeria for selling limits. All I know is one day I got a message saying mine were lifted. I basically sell what I list. When I can afford to load it up I do. I couldnt imagine them capping me off again unless I was messing up or something. I mean if I became a liability and was trying to do janky things I suppose they would just ban me. I never heard of this throttling. I think if you are doing it how ebay wants you to and your seller rating remains high and you continued to be a top rated seller, you shouldnt have anything to worry about.I cant see ebay throttling sales on a top rated seller. Its counter intuitive to business. I can see it with a seller that performs below standards continously but had their seller limits raised prior for doing good. Without a doubt I can see that. Absolutely

    • @thesequelvintage
      @thesequelvintage 11 дней назад +5

      Yep, the throttling is so obvious. I go above 220 sales for 3 months and you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be in a hole until it drops back below it again.
      Either that or hit my allocated $85 dollars a day magic ceiling for the month (which was dropped down from my $100 a day last year.) Whichever comes first.
      Yesterday I had a zero sales day, but as soon as it ticked over to midnight 2 sales came through. Nothing orchestrated there at all LOL I am pretty sick of feeling like a slave.

    The buy one get one or coupon promotions are not showing on the listings unless you click on the listing. June was the best month this year. I reset my store every three days and ran multiple promotions at the same time. Also adjusted my prices up and down every other day. In all I had to work my store everyday just to get sales. Mercari was dead for June. I don’t think Mercari is going to be a viable supplement for eBay. The change to charging the Buyer service fees was a terrible decision.
