Saw it opening day alone. Took a friend with me for the second time because it was so ridiculous and good. not sure the killer's mask is capable of "iconic." And the disgusting/cruel kills .... with terrifier as well, that stuff has a limit. But everyone who played a hand in creating this earned my $ and respect.
So I’ve been waiting for this film for 16 years it’s technically the first original masked slasher and it was a holiday slasher no less…and after a 3rd Viewing and rewatch of SCREAM I agree 1000% Thanksgiving not only serves as a better love letter to slashers but it outshines SCREAM in every way…1. The Kills there are 0 iconic kills in it, the 1 iconic kill is a mile away and the footage is sped up so you can’t make anything out unless you pause…2.Teenagers feel like teenagers I get in Scream it could’ve been a joke on how slashers cast older actors but damn its bad and their back and forth at the fountain set the trope to feature a scene like that in every film, only executed by actors that don’t know or understand the films they’re referencing so it sounds artificial…3. The Stage is set for a new look and a natural sequel SCREAM never felt like a truly thought out trilogy here it’s clear that a sequel was planned, even go as far to say it’ll be his “Potato Sack” phase where his look is completely different “The Fireman” there are so many visual clues hinting at that…I hope he has A Sawyer Family of followers that saw the live that saved him but they get slaughtered in the sequel and he comes back in the 3rd film maybe John Carver has a Latex mask being produced because he’s an Urban Legend.
Ill say i did not like it. It felt like they ran out of time to do the finale. The last 30 mins has some really weird editing like the characters jump from location to location w/o any context. I also felt a lot of the characters were forgotten in the last part. I had some issues with the character decisions in the film. I also think the twist was weak. When they did the whole "the killers body was not found" i said an audible "fuck off" the kills were good though and there were a few funny parts but thats it 6/10
Glad you loved Thanksgiving, Tony! Also, Adam is wrong about Godzilla Minus One. It was amazing and it breezed by. As a casual Godzilla fan, I’ve always found myself kinda bored when there are no monsters onscreen or destruction happening….but here, I was thoroughly invested in the human characters and kinda loved all of them. Adam’s entitled to his opinion, but man…the shit-talking he’s getting online is not cool. People need to chill.
Always a great time talking with you guys!
I'm a huge Godzilla fan and loved Godzilla Minus One. I hear you have a dissenting opinion and I am okay with that.
@@Staypuff777 You are more reasonable than 90% of the comments coming in. Appreciate that, thanks!
I was laughing hysterically in the theater while all the other people were gasping.
I just appreciate gore effects.
Also counted 6 jumpscares.
Tony is so underrated

It’s crazy to me that Patrick Dempsey showed up in this movie, but he’s been absent from the last three Scream movies.
Reading the comments on Adams Godzilla review was a guilty pleasure last night. Blood on the ice.
Tony Forgive your Father. Adam Forgive your Children. Gil Forgive Yourself.
Eli Roth’s Knock Knock is worth watching.
I also thought it was the new assistant sheriff
My daughter is five and loves horror! It's one of my favorite bonding moments with her! Her mom hates it but, ya know 😂
I'm not really a gorehound so I haven't watched much of Eli Roth's stuff. But if there is humor I could be swayed...
My top Eli Roth films are green inferno and cabin fever and hostel 2
15:22 I laughed so hard.
Fun movie, id watch it again. Also Godzilla minus one is great "adam ruins everything" is wrong
Yes and yes

You guys have a strange idea of what a spoiler is. This whole review is spoilers, bruh.
What u talking
about Willis!?
I really, really liked Godzilla Minus Fun but I'm clinically depressed, so...
Gobble Gobble MF
Glad you loved Thanksgiving, Tony!

@@AdamDoesMovies absolutely bro! No one deserves to get the kinda crap you were getting for an opinion - let alone a film opinion.
Full disclosure, I voted for the worst home alone. I only saw the first 2 (also parts of a random sequel) and have no desire to watch the rest 😅.
All guys no
?
