Have loved this seris, like you i have not read this lore for years, and it has some of my most loved chapters involved in the fighting. Thank you for doing this lore justice
I’ve been looking and waiting for ages to find someone who has done full on (multiple vids) lore dive into this conflict! Quality content lad! Hats off to you!
One of the best 40k channels out there if I was a twat and aussie I would make a tier list and pop you on it. (I am a big fan not a hater to those who don't get my humor)
the thought of big hulking space marines in full armor doing kung fu makes me laugh a little. not saying it isn't possible, just thought it was comical since kung fu masters are usually not very big.
Amazing! I completely enjoy your long form videos. I listen on your podcast in the car and the way you are able to keep the pace of the content is crazy good. Keep it up!
Hey Prince, found your Carcharodons bit and listened to it in full. The bit on Cassanbdra Lev I read in "The Outer Dark" book and really loved reading it. Giving the Chapter even more back history and predatory nature to their name. I still think, what I think they are. From reading the 2 books and 2 short stories done on them, I still believe they are who I think they are. With more evidence and proof showing they are 19th Legion, I may give ground on that. But I still think they are not Raven Guard at all, and are something else entirely. And the proof saying their 19th Legion, has to be more substantiation than, "They are" given by GW or Forge World. From what I have read, and gauged on them, they are not 19th Legion. Well done man. Great work 👍
@@bulwyf2572 I know this theory and debated with others on it. While I like the idea of it, (being a fan of the 8th) and it being hinted at in "The Long Night" audio drama. The Carcharodon books & stories tell and present a very different thing.
@@calumdeighton I have read those and all the HH books. There's almost nothing the BL makes that I don't read tbh. I believe the Space Sharks are from loyalist Night Lords. You are free to disagree but that's what makes theory crafting fun.
I like how this is written like an actual historical conflict Like A border defense force getting uppity and starting a somewhat unintentional revolt via legal loophole? That’s probably an irl conflict I haven’t heard about, yet here it is in my grimdark sci-fi... just... wow
Excellent work, sir! Between you, Luetin09 and Arch all of my Warhammer 40k Lore needs are met. I also hear Arch is going to do a series on the Badab War as well and it will be interesting to compare your vids and his. Love your work sir and you gained a new subscriber! Cheers to you sir and Godspeed!
Dude you should do a series of videos likes these on all the chapters of the adeptus astartes. Purely on a lore bases the last 2 videos were almost better than the story about the badab wars.
Man I have absolutely loved this Badab war series !!!! Please dish us a few more lore videos with your style....i highly recommend the Salamanders, seems like a great starting point....i could be biased however.
Boy, I sure do wonder who the primarch of the Minotaurs could be. Help me out here lads. Was there a primarch known to be a brooding, antisocial siege master infamous for excessive brutality (even by Astartes standards)? Did such a primarch ever exist? I feel like his name is on the tip of my tongue. Like it's *within* and it just needs to be brought *without*. Hmmmmmm... Also, I wonder if the High Lords plan on using the Minotaurs against a certain upstart Smurf.
Those who fought alongside the Carcharodons, observed their tactics and remarked at the excessive brutality with which they dispatched their enemies, and merciless savagery that extended even to the civilian population of the Endymion cluster, are oblivious to the fact that these warriors simply do not differentiate between those who openly oppose the will of the Emperor and those who merely stand by the side of such radicals, for honorable reasons, or in fact due to no choice at all. Hence, the Carcharodons pass their judgment on them, or use them as means to an end purely out of practical reasons, rather than to directly slake their thirst for bloodlust and unbridled appetite for carnage, which is a genetic flaw they are keenly aware of and rigorously suppress in the form of ancient rituals and meditation practices outside of combat. They simply couldn't care any less about what other chapters, such as Fire Angels or Nova Marines would think of them and their tactics, as such distant cousins can't even fathom the horrors of tens of thousands of years of exile, living in the farthest and darkest void beyond the galaxies, almost complete lack of any support from the wider Imperium, and the burden they have to carry on account of their debased and banished ancestors from Terra itself. Unlike the Executors, or Space Wolves for instance, the Carcharodons consider seeking (or even a momentary consideration) of a personal glory, as a breach of one of their core tenets that borders on heresy, so to judge their actions and tactics as "barbaric" is simply redundant, since for them, it is a matter of practicality to dispose of the enemies of the Imperium in a most gruesome and efficient manner possible, as they were commanded to do since their exile.
Damn son, your voice is like angels farting in my ears! ( it's a good thing
you are too kind sir
@@ABorderPrince he's right. It's very well done and really adds a genuine air to these informative episodes. Thank you, boss.
Well… there was this one plague marine…
Can we all agree about 2 things?
1) this channel and its host are amazing
2) THULSA KANE is the best name ever invented for a chaplain
Yes lol
Due to the Executioners barbarian like background I feel like its a nod to James Earl Jones character from Conan Thulsa Doom.
This series was quite the undertaking, but you've outdone yourself, Prince!
a fantastic Salamanders recap. nice selection. of stories.
You are truly doing the Emperors work and keeping us sane in times when Grandfather Nurgle is bestowing his blessings upon us

Loving this series man. Thanks for doing it !!! Keeping putting out the awesome work!!!
I really appreciate that you are doing this with the inquisitor? voice. It's better immersion.
Would love to have more lore about the esoteric chapters like the Mantis Warriors and Mentors

I think the Space Sharks are loyalist Night Lords and Sevatar was their first Chapter master.

Wait, is Arch also prepping for badab?
He is. But no idea how close he is or were he's at.
I'm ready for Arch's "Siege of Vraks Boogaloo" (as in the depth he delves into topics like this).
I hope
I thought the Mantis Chapter got eaten whole by a Hive Fleet?
So three of the successionist chapters were descendants of the three legions that fought on terra during the Horus Heresy? That’s awesome!
