- In 2020 Brompton introduced a whole new range of luggage
Included in this is this bag - the Brompton Metro Waterproof Bag - Large
The Metro range is designed for cities / commuting, with mostly black colours to fit with a corporate environment - though you can of course use it anywhere
We wanted a waterproof bag for our camera gear, and the Ortlieb O bag just wasn't big enough (this bag we thing replaces that)
In this video we run through the features of the bag - so you can get an idea of what it's like

BRILLIANT presentation of the large Metro bag... and Mmmmm - Orange lining! Looks like a useful size and I can see it would be a very practical option 🤔 very tempting ! 🤭 Would be interested to hear your views on the medium metro backpack - almost perfect, apart from the inexplicable metal clip that clangs on the frame 😬
Just bought the metro backpack as it looks amazing. Sadly it was too small for my use as I commute daily and have lots to carry. Couldn’t get everything in it that I normally carry in my rucksack.
I have had to send it back but will be ordering this one as a replacement

I do have the old non-waterproof big bag with the roll-top. Thanks to mention the measurements so easy to compare.

I have the 2016/2017 Brompton T-bag which is in excess of 30litres but isn't waterproof. Trying to fit the elasticated hi-viz waterproof cover - when wet and the bag is even slightly full - is a total nightmare!
I was thinking of the waterproof Carradice City Folder M - Black Union Jack because it's the biggest I can find these days, is 25litres expandable upto 32litres they say.
It's a pity that Brompton aren't making a black waterproof larger capacity bag right now, but this one looks good even if the catches seem awkward. Roll-tops are great and I wonder why they're moving away from them?

The Brompton Borough large waterproof is a 25L roll-top which looks pretty nice
Great Videos. I wanted to buy a Brompton Bag but could not decide which one to buy. Your videos on the different bags and comparisons between them helped me tremendously to make an informed decision. I finally settled for this bag. Although it is waterproof I have bought the High-vis rainproof cover as an extra protection from the rain. Keep up the good work. Cannot thank you enough. 👏👍🙏

Many thanks for the question. Do you mean a Brompton electric? If so currently you’d need to be using a bag with a cover, as we don’t yet have a waterproof bag for the electric.

Why wait for a rainy day? If it’s that’s waterproof simply put 20 litres of water in it and see if any leaks out.

How comfortable it is to stir with a bag so big covering the front wheel? I mean careful driving around small objects.
Which bottle holder do you have on your Brompton? I'm sure it's available at your online shop ;-)
Hi Christian - that looks like the “SKS Anywhere Topcage water bottle holder”. I bought mine from BB online shop and have been using it for a couple of months (1,000+ miles) and find it perfect. Mine is mounted horizontally on the main frame just ahead of the Brompton decal. Looks good there, is handy to use, does not interfere with the fold, and to the point, the bottle does not need to be taken out when the bike is folded. Definitely recommend this product from Brilliant Bikes :-)

Are the two rolltop bags on the back removable? (Like the O-bag) and does it come with an raincover? (Probably not, as it is rainproof allready)
Nothing is 100% waterproof!! You just got lucky.
100% correct.............only 100% water proof material know to man....human skin!!!, but I doubt we will have a bag made from it!!. KEEP SAFE!
