Hello, curious if you plan to use VVTuner to retain VVT, otherwise what is your plan for VVT control? I am currently working out a plan for vvt controll in my 96' NA as i would rather not spend a grand+ on a MS3PnP. thanks -austin
I’m not sure the exact plan but I believe the customer on this project will be using megasquirt, currently we are just doing what’s needed to get the car running
dude thanks for posting this video. I have a 96 myself I am working on pulling the motor right now and dropping in a vvt. This has been super helpful so far.@@immortanautomotive9221
If you’re using the vvt harness and ECU you’ll still need to do the fuel system modification and you’ll need the original key and ignition from the vvt car because the ECU has an immobilizer
WHY DID I JUST FIND THIS VIDEO??????? I NEEDED THIS LIKE A YEAR AGO!
Thank you!

So you have to use the nb1 fuel rail and injectors? Can you use the nb2 fuel rail and injectors?
Yes you have to use NB1 parts or it won’t fit and won’t run right
what about the alternator and ac compressor? also appreciate the help man@@immortanautomotive9221
does the harness have to be a nb2 harness or can i run the 97 harness ?@@immortanautomotive9221. Is the now way to use the coil pack?
What about the crank sensor?
Those are optional on NA, only 96-97 had them, you can swap it over, but you don’t need it to run
I thought you needed a standalone ecu to run the vvt engine in the na?
Nope, there’s a couple options to run a stock ECU
Do you still get vvt control though?
Yes, there are ways to do it

Hi doin a vvvt swap into my 97 what differences am i going to have to fix to put the vvt im using the original wiring from the vvt car and the ecu

what differences would there be if I wanted to put it in my 92?
There’s a lot of differences, read this

Hi again I'm unable to get key or ignition what do I do now buy another ecu
You poor fools. VVT has given me so much pain in my NB2. Do not do it.
What is a VVT?
Variable Valve Timing. Found in 01-05 Miatas
