Was he really singing upside down though? That may have been a pre-recorded video they showed in the background for effects. Because I’m assuming the other two guys next to him are either Andy John or Roger and you can see them at the same time moving around a bit on the darkened stage. Also on stage they are wearing different clothes. In any case, lying like that for so long would have been an extremely difficult position to hold.

Russell Mulcahy was the perfect director for Duran Duran´s video concept - He new exactly what should and what not to be in DD videos to form the perfect atmosphere. A visionary that ennanced greatly all the Duran Duran´s magic.

Sexiest song ever. Save a Prayer is second. My favorite music group. They portrayed women as sexy and powerful at the same time. As a Black girl growing up in the South I didn't see that much in the media. Black women were not considered as sexy. Duran Duran female leads were black, white and mixed. Diversity without hateful judgments. Thank you, guys. Love and respect to all of you.

This has always given me chills, I only wish I could have seen this tour live in 1983-84, The Chauffeur was a song about going back in time, to be in love with a movie star from the past, the 'Blue Silver' light is the light that all time travellers see.

One of the biggest bands from the 80's that set standards for the majority of bands during the 80's to look up to. Even David Sylvian wanted to look & sound like him.
I think you’ll find that Sylvian and Japan predated, and therefore were the influencers upon, Duran. Supposedly Sylvian was asked to produce their first album but declined. Both excellent in their own way and expanded my musical horizons back in the day!
My son - 10 years old - doesn't know that many songs on his keyboard yet, but he knows this one! Plays it with both hands, and plays it well! I love it!!

Camille Deville if you remember during the same concert the performance of hungry like the wolf there’s a scene in which it appears Simon runs off into the back of the stage looking for the lady with the tiger or whatever, then he comes running out again singing the rest of the song. That wasn’t real! The entire concert had pre-recorded visuals which were shown on the big screen above the stage. I remember during the Sing Blue Silver documentary they were talking about the significance of the screen. Back in those days it was new technology to have a screen at a concert!
