My dad passed away at 46 after a long illness, he would listen to this song when I was a kid between listening to other bands like Def Leppard etc. This song would take him far away. He never got to travel much and advised me to travel wherever can. I took his advice and have travelled all over the world. This song definitely takes you away to a far away place.

Your Dad is absolutely correct! I love to travel and almost turning 49yrs old this year I have been to 60 countries and counting as of this time. I was in Sri Lanka last month and as we toured this particular Buddhist site my husband and I both thought of this song! This song has always been an all time favorite of mine from the 80's and faintly remembered the exotic location where this video was filmed. I told him I felt like I was in Duran Duran's video as we walked around admiring this huge carving of Buddha. Later on I scrolled on RUclips to track this video down that I have not seen in years and long behold I see all the these beautiful scenery... the same ones we saw in Sri Lanka!!!! If you get the chance go visit Sri Lanka and you'll see what I mean.

Born in 1966! I was 16 when this song came out in 1982. High school class of 1984! Very fortunate to have been a teenager throughout my favorite decade of the 80s.
