FINALLY!! OUR PARANORMAL ACTIVITY REACTION IS HERE! 👻 BIG THANK YOU to our horror audience for your patience and understanding! ❤ As it turns out, there is nothing scarier than a rogue hurricane 🌀
Ok but I need that parody where all of the prequel movies lore and motive is the same but during this movie the demon just puts its evil take over the world plans on hold to kill this one guy who's an asshole XD
The second and the third ones are my faves but I remember watching this in 2007 and it was freaking crazy... it really changed horror and the fact its unknown actors and so cheaply made is wild too
The Blair Witch project was definitely one of the first huge found footage films, especially with how they marketed it to seem so real with websites and lore. But Paranormal Activity definitely brought back the love of found footage films, for sure.
@@thehighseer23 It is like almost one to one copy, original is better, mostly bc actors didn't know of a lot of jump scares and have real reaction and tension is better and the actress that played the main character give better vibe of chaos... American remake changed one thing - the reason why it happened. It makes sens bc they didn't know about Rec 2 and it explain some things from original. So this little change was ok.
Many were fooled by this movie thinking it was real because the stuffs happened in there were plausible in real life. The shadows/apparition, breathing, being pulled, scratches/bites and footsteps. The entity had no physical form which made it more scary. The oppression, infestation and possession were also touched by this movie. I would like to recommend As above so below and Grave encounters (also found footage movies) for you to react.
So just a little note, the priest dude they called to come help after it got worse left because he very quickly realize this was beyond his ability to control and even just being there was provoking the demon and making everything worse. Also you were right as far as I know in that this movie/series sparked a rush of found footage style movies for a while. It wasn't the first to do it, but Hollywood jumped on that train for a little while.
Frankly I don't care what his reasons are if I call you to help me deal with an apparent paranormal threat as your meant to be a real expert and your only goal is to leave as fast as you can the minute you enter the house. I'm going with you and getting as far away from that house as possible.
Unfriended & Host are also really interesting and are part of a more modern subgenre of the found footage genre that take place entirely over zoom or over like video/message chats on a laptop. I was worried i wouldnt like that setup but i actually loved both of those movies a lot. very creepy. 'Searching' & 'Missing' are two more in that same style that were pretty popular in recent years but are more mystery/thriller than horror i would say.
Found Footage suggestions: Cloverfield Hell House LLC REC Blair Witch Project Yes to the Purge franchise - and The Strangers and You're Next are good home invasion films with similar vibes.
Steven Spielberg was a consultant for the movie, and even gave the direct Oren Peli advice on how to keep the audience on the edge of their seat and setting up the perfect jumpscare.
@@shainewhite2781 It was a very independent film with no famous people attached to it originally. That is until Speilberg saw the original cut and was so impressed with it, he helped get the movie distribution and got them the money to shoot a couple new endings, one of which was put into the final film.
My favorite franchise of all time. I got to see them all in theaters. Cant wait for you to get to part 3 and The Marked Ones. Part 2 is really good, too. The lore is a lot of fun in these movies.
@@SubterrelProspector Yes, Marked Ones is my fave, too! I remember when Saw and Paranormal Activity were being released at the same time, and PA2 beat Saw3D at the box office lol They stopped releasing Saw movie after that (2010), until Jigsaw came out.
There were a lot of alternative endings, one of which involved Katie getting shot and killed by the cops when she tries to attack them with a knife, the cops run upstairs, they find Micah dead, and one of the officers turn off the camera, ending the film. Another ending had the possessed Katie walk out of the house, where a title card reads that Micah was found dead, while the neighbors began to wonder what happened to her, and why she suddenly disappeared.
That's so funny, I didn't realize the ending I saw the first time was actually an alternate version. The one I saw was Micah running downstairs from the bedroom because he heard Katie screaming and you hear him get stabbed. Then Katie walks back up to the bedroom all bloody with the knife and sits by the bed rocking back and forth for hours until cops come in and shoot her when she asks where Micah is. Same thing happened to me with The Descent lol.
The ending you're referring to where she comes back upstairs and rocks back and forth for almost a day was actually the original ending! It was only shown publicly once in 2007 and was never officially released, however a LOT of "unofficial" copies on burned DVD's made it into circulation. They're hard to find now. The ending you now see in the official releases was made after Paramount purchased the movie and cost an additional $200K to make. It was done strictly to keep the door open to make more money on sequels. The original ending in my opinion was Soooo much better.
yeah the original version gets called the "screener copy". thats how i originally saw the movie. tho she didn't try to attack the cops. she was rocking in a daze the entire day and only snapped out of it when they shown their flashlights on her. when she walked toward them she was confused and calling out for micah. then the back room door slams shut which causes the cops to fire.
The OG Blair Witch Project started the found footage craze. This movie wasn't necessarily the 2nd but it was early on and the most successful and spawned a franchise. Bruce Willis kind of predicted the found footage craze on the set of pulp fiction. he was playing with a hand held camcorder i think that quentin had and basically said something to the effect "one day about 5 years from now some 19 year old is going to make a dope ass poorly lit movie with one of these and it's going to be the biggest thing and spawn countless copy cats.... and they;re all going to cost 60k to make."
PLEASE Micah made me SO mad in this movie lol he doesn't respect Katie's boundaries - she says no ouija board, he brings in a board. and then AFTER he already pissed her off he's like 'hey can you help me figure this out" NO you asshole. i would've broken up with him after that tbh. can't wait for you guys to watch the rest! it's one of my favorite series. x

The sequel has a post-credits scene, so if you watch that one, keep that in mind. It's kind of a sequel plot-wise to this movie. Also, you may want to consider _Grave Encounters_ as a found footage, which is pretty terrifying in terms of concept.
Yikes, poor Blake lmao. I hope you do the whole series but if you end up dropping it please watch The Marked Ones. It's a lot of fun. I love Katie, she's an underrated horror character.

They created this entire universe where you didn't know if this was a true event or not. It was crazy. But I do agree watching this for the first time and thinking this was something else entirely. Welcome back Raggedy Pack this is one of my favorite found footage movies made I’m looking forward to the other Paranormal Activity films of you ever do more of them.
ok actually i finally just watched Creep & Creep 2 and i LOVED them. they are also found footage.. so good and creepy but also low key funny at times. I think they would be a great watch for you guys. Plus I just found out the third installment of the franchise is going to be like a mini series of 6 episodes called The Creep Tapes and it airs NOV 15. so if you enjoy the movies you could also get into those! either way you should add the movies to the list for sure!
Welcome back kidz. Glad you are all safe and sound. #1 Micah is the most annoying character! I wanted him dead 5 minutes in. This movie had four (4) different endings. Personally the ending they chose, the jump scare, was the worst. Easy way out in my opinion. I think The Police ending was the best. Here's a breakdown of the 3 alternate. The 2007 film Paranormal Activity has alternate endings: the original ending, and three alternate endings: The ORIGINAL original ending. (released for 1 night then pulled) Katie returns to the bedroom covered in blood, holding a knife, and rocking back and forth. A neighbor finds Micah's body and calls the police. The police find Katie in the bedroom, and she snaps out of her trance when they shine a flashlight on her. A startled cop shoots her dead. The throat Katie returns to the bedroom after the melee downstairs, grins at the camera, and slits her own throat. The demon then leaves her body. This ending is available on home releases. The police Katie sits down on the floor against the bed and rocks back and forth, knife in hand, for several days. The police enter the house, find Katie, and warn her to drop the weapon. The door to the attic slams shut, startling the police so much that one accidentally shoots Katie dead. Paramount acquired the film and scrapped the original ending after it was only shown at one public viewing.

I’m so happy to see you all together again 💕 I know you’ve all bn through a lot and I send you all my best wishes and love. God bless you all and that you safe and prays for all families affected 😔💕
A good pre-blair witch found footage/mockumentary style movie worth checking out would be "Without Warning". basically a real time news program on strange events surrounding a meteor impact. it premiered on the 60th anniversary of the original War Of The World radio broadcast. and was meant to be an homage to that, presented as a real news broadcast, but with disclaimers on each commercial break saying it wasn't real. for this movie, yeah the version shown at film festivals had the original "cops show up" ending, which i won't spoil incase you want to see it. Spielberg had actually approached them after the movie premiered and suggested the new ending. aside from that, the original didn't have the scene with the picture getting broken, or the daytime haunting scenes. it also didn't have the "double voice" on katie there at the end. just her staring blankly even as he was out of the room. I actually love found footage (even if most rely far too heavily one the "found" part, so the endings can get predictable) as they usually have the best horror atmospheres.
This is definitely the calmest of the franchise, with each film the lore of this universe becomes more complex and strange (and for me, particularly, a little confusing)
its fine until Next of Kin, which is a great movie in its own right, but it was clear it was PA in name only. kind of a 10 cloverfield lane situation, which screws up the lore and timeline ALOT if you try to put it in with the others.
Glad this came out! 🤗🤗 The second and third one is definitely worth a watch! The fourth one is okay. After that, it kinda goes down hill, but they do expand on the lore, surprisingly.
There is significance in the 2-3am, that time is typically considered the 'witching hour'. It's slightly different in different cultures, but that's typically the hour.
Imagine preparing to go to sleep, lights turned off already and you’re about to close your eyes then suddenly you remember the horror movie you just watched earlier. 😂
If you guys are still looking for horror movies, a tension and slasher focused one I always will remember is The Strangers (2008). It was the first horror movie to actually stick with me for a bit... that said I also watched at night, alone, in the country 30+ minutes from the next town by car.
This movie was an experience in theaters. All the bad sequels diminished its impact, but this movie really was a spiritual successor to The Blair Witch Project. It was all anyone was talking about when it came out.
The Blair Witch Project (1999) was the one the popularized the found footage genre, in the sense that larger audiences became aware of it. The marketing for that movie was genius. Everything about it was designed to fool people to think it was real to the point that a lot of people went to the theaters actually believing it was. Then the gerne disappeared for a few years. I think that was because since found footage movies are so cheap to make, a lot of bad movies came out and the gerne because a bit of a joke for a while. Then in the span of 2 years or so a lot of good ones came out like Paranormal Activity, REC and Cloverfield and that is like the second wave of the genre that really made it take off (again).
So glad you guys are back posting! Especially vampire diaries and everything else, I do look forward to Monday nights and Friday nights, and it helps me get through the week 😊 for a found footage horror film I would recommend As Above, So Below, it is one of my all time favorite horror movies. It’s soooo scary!
It’s crazy that Steven Spielberg was randomly involved this small film at least the ending suggest, and this ended up being house that built- Blumhouse studio; like Nightmare on Elm Street built New Line Cinema studios.
Commenting before I watch it: I know this movie is a hit or miss for people. Some people find it terrifying while others think it's not scary at all and I think it just highlights the difference in people. The people who found it not scary are ones who need to see the monster and need to be aware of the danger, while people who found it terrifying are ones who fear the unseen entity more than a visible one. I fall into the camp of people who found this terrifying. I think in all cases when watching a horror movie, as soon as you get a close up, detailed shot of the monster, the movie becomes less scary because knowing your enemy makes it easier to fight them but also makes their motivations more clear, whereas monsters who are not seen are creepy for the same reason uncanny things are creepy - you don't know their emotions and therefore you don't know their motivations and that is terrifying.
13:12 Corey please add Arachnophobia (1990) to the watch list, it has an obnoxious amount of lingering close-ups on those ugly beasts, but you can survive it with The Pack to keep you company!
Cojo is partially right - as they said, it's not the first found-footage film, but it's one that put that genre on the map, then followed by Cloverfield. The reason THIS movie put that genre on the map is because their budget was INSANELY small and they made a LOT of money, so their profit margin was through the roof.
FINALLY!! OUR PARANORMAL ACTIVITY REACTION IS HERE! 👻

Katie returns to the bedroom covered in blood, holding a knife, and rocking back and forth. A neighbor finds Micah's body and calls the police. The police find Katie in the bedroom, and she snaps out of her trance when they shine a flashlight on her. A startled cop shoots her dead.
The throat
Katie returns to the bedroom after the melee downstairs, grins at the camera, and slits her own throat. The demon then leaves her body. This ending is available on home releases.
The police
Katie sits down on the floor against the bed and rocks back and forth, knife in hand, for several days. The police enter the house, find Katie, and warn her to drop the weapon. The door to the attic slams shut, startling the police so much that one accidentally shoots Katie dead.
Paramount acquired the film and scrapped the original ending after it was only shown at one public viewing.
love this video and i appretiate you guys
"i never got super jump scared" said blake, who watched maybe 70% of the movie, 60% if u dont count the peeping through his fingers haha. what a funny guy
29:18 oh the REC influence in horror, that's a good stand alone horror movie for you guys
But REC is not a stand alone movie. In neither versions, be the superior original Spanish one nor the usa ones, they have at least 3 movies each.
@@b.castilho4011 you're right but the other ones are bad (imo), and you can just watch the first one, which is good if the guys ever need a filler horror movie between series
@@b.castilho4011even tho US one is one to one almost it has different name, actually I once talked to somebidy and they were like "and I watched this movie and I was like: but I watched it before, but then the name was different, I didn't know when I started watching that it was the same movie" ehhh it isn't the same, and yeah spanish one is the best.
REC is also series... 😉
@@magdalenagabrowska8169 for some reason my other response was deleted but what I meant was you don't need to watch the other movies - most people myself included don't think they're nearly as good as the first one - so it would be a good stand alone for the guys to watch if they need a filler inbetween series
finally, so happy you're back!
I’m so happy to see you all together again 💕 I know you’ve all bn through a lot and I send you all my best wishes and love. God bless you all and that you safe and prays for all families affected 😔💕
They're called Mockumentaries 😊
React to ALIEN: ROMULUS (2024), the best and most tense film in the franchise in years. You'll like it.
I agree
This wouldn't be a true Raggedy Pack reaction if Blake didn't cover his face 😂😂😂
Welcome back guys! And YES to the Purge series ❤
Great to see y'all back again. Love this movie. Took me years to watch it due to my own paranormal experiences. Also, huge yes to the Purge franchise.
So nice to have y’all together joking and all I love it, day made!🥰😁
Hello again Raggedy boys ☺️🙌🏼
Imagine preparing to go to sleep, lights turned off already and you’re about to close your eyes then suddenly you remember the horror movie you just watched earlier. 😂
I hope you’ll enjoy this franchise! I remember really liking the second and fourth movie the most 😄👏🏼
The core four is back , lots of ❤
i love most of these movies, cant wait to see yalls reaction to them! movie 3 is probably my favorite after the first one
2nd and 3rd one are even better imo! Hope you do them
If you guys are still looking for horror movies, a tension and slasher focused one I always will remember is The Strangers (2008). It was the first horror movie to actually stick with me for a bit... that said I also watched at night, alone, in the country 30+ minutes from the next town by car.
The demon’s into feet…
and his name is Quentin 😂
Watch The Blair Witch Project. The OG that started this wave of found footage horror
Prepare to be confused with this series, it is worth watching the rest though 😅 i cant wait for yall to get to the marked ones 👻
So happy to see you upload again😄🥰
This movie was an experience in theaters. All the bad sequels diminished its impact, but this movie really was a spiritual successor to The Blair Witch Project. It was all anyone was talking about when it came out.
yeah this movie took what Blair Witch did and mainstreamed it and gave it good camera work.
all the sequels are actually really good except for the ghost dimension
I think part 2 added to this one in a good way. It made the whole story come full circle.
Great to see you guys!
Welcome back boys ❤ glad you’re all safe and stable. Happy spooky season 👻
The movie that made a time stamp scary.
So glad you guys are back posting! Especially vampire diaries and everything else, I do look forward to Monday nights and Friday nights, and it helps me get through the week 😊
for a found footage horror film I would recommend As Above, So Below, it is one of my all time favorite horror movies. It’s soooo scary!
How nice is it to see Blake smile like that. He’s always so angry looking. But!….
He does have nice eyes!
Glad to see everyone back!
It’s crazy that Steven Spielberg was randomly involved this small film at least the ending suggest, and this ended up being house that built- Blumhouse studio; like Nightmare on Elm Street built New Line Cinema studios.
Welcome Back!!! We missed you!!
I'm happy to see you guys 😊 I really love this reaction ❤️ Can't wait to see more next week 😉
Hey you guys should watch Hocus Pocus
The scariest found footage I have seen is "Quarantine" which is super creepy and has many jump scares.
Biggest villain isn't the demon it is Micah.
44:50 is me LMAO, I forgot about this scene.
So good to see you guys back with a Saturday night movie 😍
Commenting before I watch it:
I know this movie is a hit or miss for people.
"Exists"(2014) is a very underrated Found Footage type of movie y'all should react to
Yes. incredibly underrated.
Movie suggestions:
The Descent 1 and Descent 2
The Strangers
The Purge
House of 1,000 Corpses
Hostel
(They all have 2 or more movies)
Yay!!!!!! I'm so excited for this series!!
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
"Katie will remember that" 😂
