Miss these videos. RIP Blake’s WRX days. However, I just put blinkers on my 2014 wrx. The signal for the blinker, even on the base model, is in the door plug. No need to get under the dash or solder wires with a torch.
@@Ipwnnoobs7 wow this was 4 years ago… I sold my WRX after the steering rack blew up 3 times in 2 months and all my friends started blowing their motors. 🤷♂️ mine only had 40k on the ODO. But to answer your question. My WRX was a Base model. The wires are in the door plug. Just use a multi meter to probe the door plug and find what two wires send current for the blinker. Then attach the mirror blinker wires to those wires. Easy. 20min.
Love all your videos man I've been up today before I go work on my own car I have been in front of this screen watching you. Keep up the good work man.
Thats weird. i did the same thing on my 2013 and in the door i just unplug the orginal one and plug in the sti plug .. which happens to connect to the 2010 sti mirror i had.. no extra wiring lol
Why run the wire all the way to the relay when there is already a wire right there!! that you can just connect to it? So much unnecessary work I have a wrx and I wire them right there and it works. If you want to do this connect the white/red cable(power) that's on your door panel (where the plug of the mirrors is) to the one for the light(power) and ground (black)anywhere. Save your self some time.
You showed everything but how to connect it to the relay. That's the part I need

Where is it in the door plug? Is your WRX base, limited, or premium?

@@elithe240guy Thanks! I'm looking at the FSM and it looks like its pins 1 and 4
@@elithe240guythat’s insane dude. Mine is 110k miles strong. Zero issues. I don’t know how in the world people have so many problems with theirs.
@@yammmit luck of the draw I suppose. I’ve even visited my local shop. They have 5-10 blown WRX/ STIs at any given time. 🤷♂️
The wrap and wheel combination looks damn good!
+Luca Car Mods Thanks man!

Nice video! His car is so loud now, can't imagine how loud it is in person lol
When routing wires coat hangers always pull through in a pinch 👌

Nice. I do like that look better. If only I could find one in WRB.
Thanks for the vid. I'm adding blinkers to my FXT. How can you tell which terminal is which on the led itself? TIA
Mine were already wired and I just plugged them in.
Машина супер!
+Сергей Ротанов (RSV) Благодаря
Cool video, I like the idea of the STI mirrors. Just curious, what did you do about the no hanger on the mid-pipe situation?
+EKCPeacekeepin just bolted it up with out a hanger in the middle seems to be fine stayed in place well.
they don't get any more hipster than this dude.
what is that diffuser? i also got a 13 hatch
+lilpn0yxtc Its a custom made one from a bay area Subaru guy. Its make of plastic.
How did you tap into the relay
+Rafael Diaz I just put a t-tap crimp connector on the wire coming out of the relay.
+Blake's Garage awesome so just t tap for both wires. Thank you sir! Awesome wrx btw! I myself have a hatch thunder red GR
Rafael Diaz Yep just one on each. Nice I love the way the red looks and it's super rare.
Haha,blooper was funny(scary though).
+ThaiWrex Yeah, That things go mad Torque glad I didn't cut my arm off. LOL!
You look different, is it the hair?
