Brilliant! I enjoy painting landscapes, but have quite often found trees (also bushes and hedges) a bit of a stumbling block in the past. But I've been really inspired by watching this video, and am sure it will be an invaluable source of help to me, when I come to tackle trees and the like in the future. 😃🎨
Oh Karen! Each tutorial of yours is better than the next!!! You’ve got me addicted to your channel❤❤❤ Before I found you I was doing mostly acrylic or acrylic/mixed media painting. But, I’m beginning to LOVE watercolor. There is definitely a learning curve but it has been a lot of fun. I love painting abstract/expressionist landscapes and you seem to show quite a lot on your channel. Thank you so very much😊. Once the summer is over I’m going to join your Patreon channel as well!!!!! ❤❤❤
So many wonderful techniques shown here. I'm curious to paint lines upside down for one thing and also trying the scraping idea, which I never have tried with trees and foliage. Thanks so very much! 🎨
Just so relaxing watching you produce these wonderful paintings. I am losing my sight and will not be able to tale advantage of your tutorials but I am having a cornea transplant some time this year and am desperatly hoping I willl have all my paints ready to go once all the experience is over. Nevertheless, a hige thank you for the pure enjoyment watching whar you do.
I needed this video. I took a photo of a building surrounded by trees. I’ve drawn the building and have drawn rough sketches of the position of the trees, but I’m afraid to start painting for fear of ruining the drawing. I have to just start it. Thank you!
That ‘paralysis’ is an awful feeling. It does still happen to me but I overcame it largely by trying to as much ‘work’ in one session as I can. You don’t have time to become attached to what you have already done.

Thank you again, Karen. I got good ideas from your demo for painting a very, very ordinary landscape with watercolours and the trees there have bee the tricky part. I know now how to continue.
Thankyou so much for this wonderful painting and all the helpful ways of doing things ..I am new to water color as I have always done acrylic and ink and mixed media of all kinds and I find it hard to paint loose with water color but day by day I am learning and your video's are so amazing 💗

Hi Karen. When did you brush off the salt? I think I missed it or it wasn’t in the video. Thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial. Very helpful.
I did it once the painting had dried.
This painting is one I will definitely save. What shape do you cut your plastic card to get certain effects. Thanks
So pleased you like this one! I cut my cards are in all different shapes and sizes.
Heck the advert was longer than the artists fab instructioins!!! Perhaps we can find other places to watch Karen Rice instructonal videos?

Hello, wondering when do you brush away the salt when it's dry ?
Yes I brush off the salt once the painting has dried.
🥰
At what stage can you run the card to get white showing?
When the paint is damp
It lookz so easy when you do it but i end up with a pale wet mess!
Keep practicing! It really helps!
What kind of salt, course salt?
I use table salt.
Damp into damp
🍀🍀💐💐
Therapeutic is the last word I've heard before going to 😴
Thank you so much 😊
