I also love the way you split the video so you can see what you are using for inspiration and then writing the tip on screen very helpful to me. Thank you
I saw someone painting with a sponge in the art class I went to 20 yrs ago, and have used a sponge ever since. I think it gives a lovely soft, realistic look to the leaves. I could never paint it any other way. This tree is fabulous.
It was and I’ve been practicing today. I’m no artist. Thought I could only draw a cheque but hey if you practice and learn from others it’s surprising what you can do. I thank you on behalf of the many who just want to do a little better.👍
I loved this tutorial, especially this way of painting lots of different colours. Trees are so amazing as they change colour throught the year and your tutorial just helps io show us how to incorprate all the wonderful colours without making a mushy mess. Brilliant thankyou

Thank you for the useful painting tips! Your instructions are clear and easy to follow, and your painting looks beautiful. I hope you and your loved ones are well. ❤❤
I've always avoided trees and have used these techniques before but will try again. Nice little tutorial. Ps I paint feathers with feathers. It works. Bx
I am starting to paint a piece with a tree and not happy with the foliage, I can’t wait to practice this technique on some scrap paper and implement it into my just started painting. I love the results you get using the cobalt blue for the skies and also the shades of green you mix. They are different from what I have been using, I can’t wait to try that as well. I enjoy your tutorials, and always feel there is so much more to learn. Btw…. I also use a twig for fine lines.
Lovely life-like effect. Thank you so much, that taught me a lot in a very short time. I used sea sponges some years ago while doing Folk Art. The effect can be surprising and wonderful. You showed how to take that technique to a whole new level

Quite wonderful. Could one utilise a stippling brush as well to achieve the same results if you haven’t a sponge handy?
Absolutely. Great idea 😊
I love it. I bought sponges but have the scouring type on my sink. Have to give it a go as your outcome is gorgeous and money saving. 💕
Such a beautiful tutorial. Can't wait tot try it!!
