I haven't played since the map overhauls and ward changes, 2015 maybe . My warding game isn't like it used to be , this video is awesome for returning players like me. This was fast and efficient examples , loved it.
same here man. i was like 6k mmr in 2014, just a decent player but i can make plays and not look like a dumb. But now it feels like a hundred times harder as when i left the game and i make mistakes, big ones every game. jezz.
4:25 I actually dewarded one here because I sentried my whole bot jungle, I was surprised to find one ward there. I guess someone was watching your videos.
Communication is also a big big thing… In most pub games, supports are expected to just know how and where to light the map. But the problem is, that also expects the rest to have full map awareness. This is where 90% of lower than immortal games lack in, they lose games and blame the support when in actuality, he did all he can. So on top of warding strategically, communicating to the team what the current situation is has such a big impact. Don’t be a silent support, actually support the team…
Good quality video. Keep up the great work. When I do play support, for ranked roles, I'll try to implement what I've learned from here. Subscribed in hopes to encourage you make more educational/ entertaining videos.
nice vidya. one I like to place as dire in the early midgame and also lategame is near top rune on radiant side. there are three or four trees there and you can nudge it in there to see the triangle ramp towards rosh, top rune as well as some mid area. Haven't seen that one get dewarded at all yet and it's reasonably easy to sneak place it there. that ward you showed from your ranked game was lucky more than anything tbh that sentry kinda sucks because it covers way more of the stairs than it needs to. I always place it more to the left to 100% cover all three stairs and I think most people would.
Nice thanks for that spot. The example from my ranked games is an example of how being unorthodox leads to better outcomes. I don’t ward predictably and it leads to that example of luck many times all over the map
In my games, just seeing support ward at all is a miracle. The biggest thing when warding is to pay attention to what wards are being rewarded or not. I find that most players (no matter the rank) will generally sentry the same spots over and over. If you have a spot that is being dewarded, then move the ward somewhere somewhat close but about 50% out of range of where the sentry was. And the odds of your observer staying is good. Might not be the best spot, but it is better than zero vision.
@@diseasesjesus5078 Thanks! I only play support so this was really helpful. I very, very rarely ward on cliff spots anyway, but the spots you've shown in this video were very creative indeed!
For me the key is to not have most efficient but less vision in their map that doesnt get dewarded. So I place deep wards at start, which never gets dewarded early and can win me atleast 1-2 fights. After that I keep switching between spots to confuse them, and even get a few lane wards if I know they are dewarding the entire jungle.
Hello dotajesus, i am in the process of making a dota 2 website with guides and information on how to play specific heroes vs specific matchups. Are you interested in helping me out? I'm about 5.3k mmr
Waste of time with this video... Super late video for the current map. Should've done this when the map was out immediately and I know almost twice the warding spots you mentioned here.

Actually good. Caught me by surprise.
Those ward spot are very common in 3k bracket, especially the one at the dire triangle and dire top jungle

Got me the starting joke.
Ya a good wards spot to deward
Nice vid
The ward at 6:53 is nice. 💯
Probably cheating. Shaman saw enemy sentry radius

Hello jesus
Me getting gem of true sight in every game
i use that outpost (radiant) ward also and honestly thought i invented it too lmao. guess we think alike lol
remember doing wards in dota 1. Blind mode 🤣
I ward like this but im a herald
amen
It doesnt exist in my rank I use my 7th sense to know the enemy team
Lol, I dont put HG wards when the enemy likes to invade our neut camp. If they dont, warding HG is ok.
Thats my aggressive ward spot as Dire team. 4:39
Don't show my ward spots !! :D
herald dont even know what ward is bro.
great informative video but sad you hate on the community in the first sentence :(
