I can relate so much to what you're dealing with!! I seriously also think about me or other people passing away and that maybe I didnt try hard enough to connect with them and I regret stuff or they are dissapointed and sad even after my life.. :( as an older milennial (38) I used to be active on facebook but honestly I cant stand it anymore! I just compare and compare.. other people in my age have senior jobs and own houses! I just isolate myself out of shame that I cant get or keep a job.. :( I have autism, adhd but worst is my physical pain.. its lonely.. thank you for making me feel less alone struggling with life in my 30s!

Oh my god you are literally speaking from my soul 😭 thank you for making videos!
I resonated soooo much with the whole “not asking for help because then people think you’re (even more) different”-thing, it is such a struggle and i don’t know how to handle these types of situations…

One thing that I can’t relate to is this whole soft life thing. I like to be soft but as someone who is diagnosed with nvld I am very rough and tumble

I’m neurodivergent too and I totally relate to how you feel. Hugs to you!

Can relate. You're not being dramatic, it's your lived experience.
I was trying so hard to be a person for so many years in all the ways everyone else seemed to be doing it, figuring it would all work out if I could make everything look right on the outside. But that never worked and I didn't know why, unless it was because I needed to try harder. It was really because I was being someone else. Or many someone elses depending on who was around. Nothing like a mid-life identity crisis, am I right?
I'm also an RN (out of work as of now), scripting helps me big time! But yeah, the small talk kills. 💀

In my adhd diagnosis journey I often think about standardized testing and timed tests and what it would’ve meant for me had I gotten the proper accommodations so i wouldn’t be so focused on the time 5:47

Same here, it's frustrating. All we can do is inform other and hope for the younger generation will have a better experience.

Hello! Thank you for your kind words! I wish I could post every day 😂 Unfortunately, work + school + AuDHD + life make it difficult. I am doing my best to keep posting weekly, but hopefully I can increase that at some point!

@@embracing_awkI got diagnosed with adhd later in life as an adult in my 40’s and i recently started up my own channel based on my experiences and conversations etc and I understand how it is to try and juggle other things as well as trying to do content.my channel is fairly new but im also a mother to neurodivergent children, working part time while also trying to not be overwhelmed with my channel and managing myself.i get it and im super proud to be subscribed to your channel and to hear you be so transparent. Thank you!
My channel only has 3 videos but its a start and I aim to have more over the coming months

It seems like you were able to get diagnosed fairly quickly. Did it only take those 3 months from the time you started researching to the diagnosis? Or were you in the process of seeking a diagnosis before you started researching?

Hi! Yeah, it was pretty quick for me overall. I had health insurance and live near a big city so that really helped. There are a lot of places that provide neurodevelopmental assessments for adults near me.
