This was based on the fake trailer Roth did for Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez in their movie Grindhouse in 2007. It was made to look like a 70s slasher movie with grain and distortion. In the trailer, the cheerleader lands on the knife doing a split. Roth made the trailer while filming his movie "Hostel 2" in Eastern Europe and used mostly the cast he had on hand.
Truth. In slashers and such, I always get worried when the cats or dogs aren't fed after their owner dies/gets kidnapped(still worried about the cat in "Silence of the Lambs").
McStabby got around way too quick and then recovered fast from the spray to the eyes. Do love that they were feeding him information about who was involved. Also the sheriff escaping reminds me of the ending of my bloody valentine remake. The killer did the same. And a sequel to Thanksgiving is happening.
I went black Friday shopping once. I witnessed an elderly woman ramming her cart into other people and their carts. Luckily, I was only getting a TV which they told me to drive around back and they’ll load me up, so I got lucky.
All is forgiven when you called the bruins the penguins lol. This is a fun slasher. Hopefully there will be a sequel soon. Really enjoyed the reaction.
Happy Thanksgiving mr.and Mrs movies. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving, this movie was filmed in Canada actually the black friday scene extras are Canadians. I'm from Canada myself as well, our Thanksgiving was the second week of October. Different harvest season up north.
That knife is pretty scary... A couple weeks ago in saint augustine florida A homeless woman stabbed a priest with the exact same knife. Eight a.m in the morning and all she said was she had issues. Before. Stabbing him. He survived. He talked about just staring at the sky And how gray it was. He was more worried about the church. And what he could not do in the next week. It is a true miracle that he is alive.
I think this is cool that this movie is from the double feature that Quinton and Robert did theirs. Im glad they did it and didn't right. This is gonna be a classic in years to come imo.
There some more horror thanksgiving movies as well 1.Thankskilling (2007) 2.Blood Rage (1987) 3.Home Sweet Home (1981) 4.Kristy (2014) 5.Into the dark Pilgrims(2019)
There's also a zombie movie from the 90s that's also set around Thanksgiving called "The Bone Room". It's pretty good and features some creepy looking zombies
This was the first slasher I correctly guessed who the killer was by just watching the trailer one time. I will say Eli Roth did a great job making me continuously second guess myself throughout the film. Over all a really fun movie.
This movie is SO influenced by Scream & Kevin Williamson, I’m surprised the main character isn’t named Sydney lol really dug this movie, I’ll probably watch it ever thanksgiving
Yeaa!! Lets gooo!! I lived near Plymouth Mass as a kid. Born and raised in Massachusetts! There's def gonna be a sequel it's coming out next year 2025! I'm glad that short got turned into a Thanksgiving horror movie finally! AND showing how bad Black Friday used to be! I went to a few Black Friday sales and yes people are insane! I saw parents fighting over the Gameboy Advances when they were new and my Dad went and grabbed one while they were fighting over them. I also saw a man limping because someone pushed a cart into his leg. Bunch of animals! Society ain't much better nowadays still sadly! I'm also not a huge sports fan I mostly only know New England teams. I could care less what the south teams are.
The third movie based on one of the five mock-trailers seen in Grindhouse (2007). Eli Roth directed the Thanksgiving trailer to be shown between the films Planet Terror (2007) and Death Proof (2007) when shown as a double feature. Machete (2010), Hobo with a Shotgun (2011) and this movie were later made into full-length feature films. As of 2023, only "Don't" and "Werewolf Women of the SS" have not yet been made.
After seeing this multiple times last year it is a new annual tradition for me to watch it around Thanksgiving. But there were so many points in the movie where I was like there was no way that one killer got around so fast, which is why I said it had to be two killers. But I guess they really just want you to suspend your disbelief
Saw this in a pretty full theater and it was fun as hell, everyone was totally getting the comedy style to it and wasn't taking it like a serious horror. Movie was so good and fun/exciting when it came out.
Currently working on a video for this movie myself. It was basically Eli Roth dream to make since he was like 12years old and he finally made it and it was fantastic.
Roth gave an interview saying he made a holiday horror film in the same style as Black Christmas and Halloween. Both those movies open with the POV of the killer so I knew McDreamy was it in the first minute of the movie
I love how much this movie is a throwback to the 70s/80s golden age of slashers. No deconstructions, no parodies, just a masked maniac delivering gory kills.
Great reactions! 😂 I also liked it better when they used the real Pegasus too! I can always tell when dinosaurs, monsters and aliens in movies are fake because they just don't look like the real McCoy. Also, when they studied it, (whoever they are) it seems that dogs will not eat their master's body to survive if they have an avenue of escape or something else to eat, but cats will wait up to about 24 hours until curiosity gets the best of them, even if there's a way out or food in the bowl. Yeah, cats ARE brutal. Whether they are lions, tigers, cougars, pumas or your household pet, they all act the same and do whatever they want because they believe everything feline is the dominant species, even when it isn't. I know a Yulia. She is my lesbian friend's lesbian friend. Cool chick. I haven't seen her in a minute. I hope she is doing well... Great show! ❤ Best to you both! Happy Thanksgiving to all!
I think we are all on the same page regarding the "Heavy Garbage Can Lids" ...just me laughing pretty good you two The trampoline with stab berry sauce
You should watch the Thanksgiving (2007) Grindhouse trailer. Eli Roth made a fake trailer for the movie Grindhouse and then made the movie. The trampoline scene is better in the trailer! lol
Cosmetology classes have the heads and cosmetics as part of the class. The place I work now has classes but the last high school I worked at offered actual certifications in it.
So the part where you guys are saying there has to be two killers cause the way the phone was moving during the stream. It's a possibility he recorded the footage and used it as if it was live footage but actually wasn't. Kind of like jigsaw did in saw 2
I guess we missed the obvious twist with the first scene of the movie….but to be fair, I didn’t think the sheriff was the killer because there was no way he could move that fast
The sequel to this is scheduled for next year. I assume, based on some comments from Eli Roth and the cast, the sequel may reveal a second killer from this movie.
I also found the trash can death strange. But my theory was its bear country and they had a special trash can thats extremely heavy........ thats the only way that kinda makes sense...
I love how Grindhouse from 2007 or whenever it was meant to be a flop yet they can’t stop making stuff associated with it… was that three lock box by Sammy Hagar also? Plus it’s hard to not like a film with a Krull and Death Wish 3 poster.

Mr. & Mrs. Movies from You, Me & The Movies the Serial Killer / Slasher in this Film John Carver is very Michael The Boogeyman/The Shape Myersesque & Ghostface Killeresque only difference he's dressed/styled like a Pilgrim!
@ I think there’s a thirst for a nice traditional holiday slasher since Terrifier is bringing in this new brand of comedy-slasher where the killer just tortures and then does something funny over and over. It’s like if Freddy just indulged in gore but we never start caring about the Elm Street kids or investing in any lore in the Dream world. The idea of a woman having a piece of her face ripped off being the reason she can’t unlock her phone is 10x funnier than Art cutting someone open and then putting silly glasses on them - but the scene also contains a sense of suspense at the same time. Another issue is that Terrifier 2 and 3 are NOT scary and they take up so much discourse in the HORROR community that people get frustrated. Somehow a vengeful killer preparing a grisly thanksgiving dinner using victims as the meals due to a tragedy the year before is resonating with some people more than watching a chainsaw go up a guy’s ass for no reason lol
@@CarloisBuriedAlive it's sad you wrote all that just for nothing because wow what brainless drivel And that's funny "we never start caring" even though Sienna is one of the best final girls in horror and many people are fans of her You're just another "omg it's just torture porn!" dorks honestly lmao your line of thought is so incredibly hypocritical it makes it even easier to make fun of you Art is hardly anything like Freddy. I waited 16 years for Eli Roth to turn this into a real movie. GRINDHOUSE -- the film that included the original fake trailer -- came out around the time my son was born. Last year, I took my son to see it in theaters. And as messed up as this movie was, the opening Black Friday scene was more messed up than the rest of the movie.
In a real life scenario like the table situation (sorry I’m trying not to spoil anything so I hope that makes sense) wouldn’t someone just pass out from fear?! People pass out on rollercoaster rides, but never in horror movies! 🤔
Good slasher film except for the opening! The opening is so cringe 😬 Also Mrs. Movies doing the “Jessica” thing always makes want to do it as well. There was a Krull poster in the background during the party
Thanksgiving: "We're so thankful for everything we have."
Black Friday: "What we have is rubbish. Let's buy new stuff but cheaper."
Sad commentary on the human condition.
“Is he gonna stuff her too??” 😏😏 the evil smile on his face? Absolute cinema 😂😂😂😂

Yea they didn't do their research on it.
That trailer was awesome. The actual movie was ok but I just wish Roth had shot it in the Grindhouse style like the trailer.
Oh that's interesting
John Carver feeding the cat and giving him head scratches after murdering the owner gave this film an extra star 😂😁
LOL right! I saw that scene and was like..... " I like this guy!" LOL He fed the cat and gave it a scratch.
