Just managed to pick up one of these, with no instruction manual, for a bargain basement price that needed a few minor repairs but seems to be working fine now. Thanks for the breakdown of this model, it helped clear up some confusion for me.
Nice explanation Elias. I was Radio DJ.after I left I started singing. When I was on radio studio everything was ready to use so no clue what so ever.I bought Behringer X2222USB Xenyx. Before this I had small mixer start with to get used to with the connections. I loved it some connection I could not understand, but watching you video made it so clear. Thanks Elias. Only one advice to you speak little loud or turn your audio volume up. Your video are so great well explained and fantastic. keep doing good job with louder voice. enjoyed very much Can not wait for your next video Thanks Elias
..go to the send to option and select the hui option and ok. to finish go to the midi tab, select the input devices and click or select your mixer driver in the list, hope that works? if not I would suggest you go onto behringer website and check if they have a guide for the set-up.
Yes you can, one channel and both with subs and main pressed down outputs and route the sounds. Test it yesterday with my krk 5s connected via the subs 1-2 output and 6s as main output.
Great video! We have the same mixer. I'm wondering what are the compressor LED indicators for? When these steadily blink I notice the quality of the sound coming out from the speakers are not that good.
Carlo Duterte Hey, sorry for late reply been full on busy.. but its really easy.. say you have a flat vocal that is plain and dry.. that is when you would add some compression and if it doesn't make much difference to the vocal or bring it some life that I would add some limiter which the mixer doesn't really have but it tend to do the same task and liven up the dry vocal in which you could further add fx or maybe play with the EQ's. Remember, you do not want it fully up or too loud, do it slow and listen to your overall mix and balance it with the song.
Elias Gadgets No worries. I highly appreciate your tips on this. I had my first live gig recently and it went quite well. Thanks for the very educational video.
Very thorough tutorial, great job, thank you. Couple of questions; the L and R main output, does it matter which one I use, L or R? Also, is it possible to connect that output to my home AV Receiver/amplifier? i.e. I have my speakers connected to my AV receiver and wondering whether I could use that as my source of speakers. Thanks so much.
no it doesn't matter which main output you use. I use them all for my 4 speakers, main outs xlr for my krk 6 and control room or front main out for my krk 5s. Yes also to you amplifier aslong as you amp can take the wire connection of your output, 1/4inch cable via RCA or the ones suited for your amp. check out my vid "Behringer X1622usb Q&A"
It should work straight away or you should be able to go into pro tools settings and put your output and input to the mixer. If you can't see the mixer driver it's because you have not installed it, so make sure you install the mixers driver provided on the cd that comes with your mixer. Go to pro tools set-up- peripherals- midi controllers - type and select your install driver of the mixer. After you found it than go to "receive from" option, select input 1 and than go to "send to" option....
Thank you so much for the video, sir! But I still have one question: What cable do you recommend to connect to the speaker? XLR, 1/4 inch or RCA? Which one has the greatest quality?
You probably should have said the main outputs can go to "powered" speakers or the PA input, or use control room to powered speakers if you are in a different room.
Elias, Great tutorial. I appreciate you taking the time to help people like myself understand the technology that's out there. My question is can you recommend a good but inexpensive mixer that you can record on multiple channels? I just bought this one but didn't realize you can only record on track. Thanks again.
Scott Belzer Thank you, not really a cheap options for multiple recording on all channels, the cheap way is to just get a audio interface or look at a firewire mixer but again, not cheap and it depends on your budget but they normal start from £500 upwards am afraid.
Hello Elias, I have the mixer Behringer Xenyx 1600, the main output are XLR, and speaker has XLR too, but my doubt for you, is necessary a special caracteristic for the cable XLR for mixer-speaker ? what do you use for it? I Hope you could help me? Thanks for your Videos, are very helpful.!!!

+pradeep regime - thank you. Dude thanks for the video you've just saved me a headache of difficultie XD I couldn't work out why the channel feeds weren't coming through my computer or why the desk wouldn't pick up the computer audio when selected as an audio device, they didn't send me any installation disks. Is it possible to download the software online? Also i'm guessing your using the X2222? It looks exactly the same as what I have
you can use this mixer with any music software, it connects via usb with a built in audio usb interface that logic and other software will pick up and use as your main sound card. Just go into your logic settings and choose it as your main audio output and input.
Thank you. I've search for a review but a tutorial is good as well. Will be this mixer suitable for podcasting or streaming example OBS software? I would like to hear thru headphones playback my mic and pc output? I do have two "lines in" in my pc soundcard and one "line out"
Great tutorial...I can hardly hear the dialogue! Can you re-send with the audio 'turned up'? Still unable to hear it properly, EVEN with my headphones on...Thank you.
I see this has a sub out. I am used to BI-amping in std home gear. I bought the Behringer 1204usb and when playing from pc I cannot even use the 3 band eq! how is the subout on this? if I wanted to biamp with current setup can you recommend item to go from the XLR out to separate the outputs bands for multiple amps?
This is an awesome video!!! I need help to understand something. Why do you have to press the PFL button to set the channel? Why can't you just set it on the main solo?
I cant have the effects work for me! So frustrating!! I took it back to Guitar center thinking it was defective and the guy made it work😒 I dont see what im doing wrong 🤷🏽♀️ I have it set up the same way he did! With me headphones he said I needed to make sure I had the Mix button pressed in and not doing ir! Maybe there's a trick with the parameters any suggestions?
Hi Elias, I posted a question for you on your other video tutorial on setting the FX level. So I hope you still are able to answer questions for me on that vid. Thanks, Tracey C
hello, please i have question. if i connect Trs to 1/4" Male TRS to 1/4" Female TS Insert Direct-Out Adapter ? can change insert to work a direct our ? or sec ,way if i connect TRS male to adapter Ts female to trs male. can change the insert to work a direct out ? i have the same mixer ( behringer )
Hello everyone...I have purchased a Xenyx X1204USB model from Behringer... I have connected the USB cable from mixer to my laptop.... I havent bought speakers yet but I do have Sony MDR 7506 headphones that I will be using... basically I am a newbie in this field and all I want is to play a karaoke track on my laptop or iphone, listen it on my headphone while I sing along using my condenser mic and record the music along with my voice directly into the laptop and then apply all effects... This may be a very basic question for all the experts here but how can I accomplish what I am looking for
Its basic, but not very straight forward. You need to have audio out from your computer going into mixer, and then create an auxillary mix to send to your headphones to hear the music for singing along to. You then need to connect your mic to another channel and send that to your main mix out on the mixer. In order to then record your vocals, you need to connect your audio out on the mixer into a recording device input (soundcard etc) on the computer. If you are new to equipment, this defo isn't so straight forward without having some help!
Hello, I am a real beginner here! I have decided to help my boyfriend's band by offering to be the sound girl. He has a Xenyx 2442usb and I have watched many tutorials but am still learning. This is just for playing and not recording. His five piece band only has two instruments hooked up to the board (an acoustic guitar and a mandolin) the rest all vocals. It would be nice if they all hooked up so I could have a little more control with the sound, but for now this is it. The "low-cut" option by the gain knob, what does that do exactly? I don't really notice a difference when I click on it. Did you say something about helping cut background noise? I didn't quite make that out at the end of your vid. Thanks Tracey
Hi Tracey, The low cut button would be best suited for all mic vocals application only. it take out any thumps or rumble out of live sounds, makes the sound vocal deep and clear, it would also minimizing any popping. yes you will notice that it doesn't have any audible effect but that is because you may not be on a stage where the environment layout itself with everything connected with cause a lot of distortions and that low-cut filter would come on handy to cut them out. Try for example playing a drum bass which will have some wobble or distortion and than press the low cut and see the difference, or maybe a male with deep voice. The Xenyx mixers ranges are really only for handling or like your said playing all gear rather than recording in mind.
Tracey C Thank you for the low cut info. Very helpful. I was also wondering about the compression knob. Can't seem to find much info on it. What does it exactly do? Not sure if I notice much difference when playing with it. In the manual it says when the red led light comes on you know its engaged. Do you use this more for vocals or instruments or both? Look forward to your help. ;)
Tracey C Hey Tracey, I would normally use the compressors on both vocals and instruments when I would want to make the sound louder. If you put it on and turn the knob on the channel it will give your sound a punch, make it sound loud without overloading everything like you would do when you would either put the gains up on a channel. Say for example I have my final song, and my vocals was to low or unbalance, I would add compression to bring it in line with the rest of the tracks and it will never be too loud but just right as compression tends to also lower over powered frequency of the sound and make it more soft. What I mean by more soft is compressor can also have the opposite effect and where you have a song that is too loud, it can compress the loud sounds. Hopefully that makes sense :)
Elias Khan Thank you again soooo much! I truly appreciate the detail you go in to for helping me understand. I realize these sound boards can make a band sound great or pretty bad. They really take patience, time and a good ear to achieve the sound you're looking for. I know I will have more questions for you and look forward to your advice! Thanks again!
I noticed you haven't mentioned the Left Right selectors located directly above the sub 1 and 2 faders I've been trying to look for specific functions of these buttons. Do they enable instrument/vocal connected to the stereo channels to be routed either left or right by turning the Pan or Balance knobs?
Sorry for late reply but yes they do along with the subs 1-2 etc , I explained it to Tracey C below a bit.. but the Pans or balance knobs are not the main controls but rather the faders of the subs 1-2 and you would decide from the sub 1-2 section where you have the left and right.. where you would like to route the channels etc. I didn't really cover it as it was a little complex and plus I was going to replace the mixer for a digital board mixer the Presonus 16.0.2
ProTools 10 should be straight forward once you have installed the files for your sound card if on windows or once connected to your mac which doesn't need any installation. Pro tools should see your mixer by you going into the set-up preference and selecting the input and output as the mixer. You can use an adaptor or you could get a 3.5mm / 1/4 cable which you can use to connect in the mixers output with the 1/4 end and the 3.5mm into your speaks, depends on what your speakers are and how you have your set-up but I would need more details. I would advise you also check out my last video on this mixer "Behringer X1622USB Q&A" and also "Connecting KRK Rokits", they would have various indications of connecting speakers, the mixer and other stuff.
Sir your tutorial is very use ful to me, but there are some question, can i ask you, Sir i have beharinger mixer 1202 fx,dennan a/v receiver, and p.c., I want to record my vocal on p.c. in cubase soft ware at this time i give c.d. out to my mixer in which i connected mic and c.d. player output. And from mixer c.d. out put gives into to line in of my p.c. is that correct or there is requriment of audeo interface between And if yes set up of connection
A audio interface would make your life much easier and direct in this situation and less complex. Your connection is alright but an audio interface connection would be better but it makes no sense to have this and a audio interface together, your better off getting an audio interface to connect you set instead of having to connect the audio interface via usb going into your pc and than connect the mixer 1202x into the audio interface.. it's really down to you but either way it all works ok.
ok, so i'm trying to put a rode videomic into this which has a 3.5mm jack on it, so i've bought a 6.35mm adapter, and it didn't work. I bought a few other adapters, non worked. I discovered that it works if you pull out the 6.35mm jack a little bit. But it's not just one input, it's like this on every single input on this mixer. WTF? I thought it might be because they were stereo adapter, so i then went out and bought some mono adapters, and still the same problem. I've got a behringer HA400 headphone microamp which i wanted to put 4 pairs sennheiser hd400s headphones into and same again you need to pull the headphone jacks out a little bit, but this time out of the adapters a little bit. The videomic and all the headphones work absolutely fine on other products, Is this a known issue with behringer products?
What you hear in the mains/headphones/monitors doesn't record to pro tools via usb. The mixers usb codec seems to piggyback the computer built-ins. Disable/mute built-in mic/speakers, in computer default, and you get nothing to, or from, the codec audio usb mixer. 2in 0-out to record, 2out 0-in to playback is the codec this mixer has to offer, but seems to default to 1in2out computer default,(normally used as default for computer sounds via built-in speakers, and built-in mic, recording to computer default sounds, to make up your own, computer default sounds, via the built-in mic). The only thing Pro tools recorded was the built-in mic while I was monitoring headphone/Mains/ monitors/ and all meters, thru Pro tools mix windows, and the mixers idiot lights. But playback after switching to 0in 2out usb audio codec the recorded session was anything but the analog mix to digital usb codec audio I assumed I was recording digitally thru this interface via usb but apparently the signal sent to Pro tools recording was the built ins of the usb device codec this interface was actually sending less anything that resembled what i, the mixer, and the software were metering, monitoring and hearing.
hello Good review but got a question! i just wanted to know if it's possible to use balance or unbalance cable in any input of a mixer? i'm just lost sometime because i see some people puting TRS cables in a line input is it dangerous to do so?
+dextercon - Thank you, sorry for the late reply but yes you can use either cable its like mono and stereo. The cables are interconnected and the real danger to be honest is you will lose only half of the sound level and today most equipment are made to interconnect balance and unbalance.
Hi Elias, i have a xenyx 2442usb that i am trying to record through onto logic 9. im having trouble getting logic to pick up sound from the mixer. all of my preferences are correctly set to recognize the mixer, but i am still getting no sound. Are there certain settings on the mixer itself i need to set?
this may sound like a fairly stupid question but do you know if it is essential to have speakers connected to the outputs to pick up sound into the desk? I tried plugging a mic in and using it but I'm getting no levels on the metre that shows whether you're clipping or not. thanks in advance.
+iNinja - No not really, i've used the mixer without speakers connected and only headphones, I've used the control room channels and other ways and still the desk will have sound and pick up sound because the main united its gain feedback from is your computer not the speakers... check here where i use the control room ruclips.net/video/ou_RUrzUkFg/видео.html&feature=cards&annotation_id=6f5997c7-1bf7-4f5a-8b09-8bb83c500628&src_vid=m9PsP8waxcI
I'm trying to record my channel sound outputs through usb into an iphone. I have a lightening cable converter to female usb that connects to the mixer, do you know what button on the mixer should be selected in order for the output to record properly on the phone?
+Adrian Wallace (Simplly Addy) - Never used reason before but the principle should still be the same as other daw.. I would check the set-up, sound preference and check if anything is grey out?. I once had this issue with a few software and I had to install third party pluggins or apps that would fully open all channels where the daw would pick up the input and output.. for windows try asio4all which should be free to download.
im connected my both speakers but the sound is like nothing very low then I connect my subwoofer and sound excellent why is that? what im doing wrong? my speakers are connected in the back of the mix xlr cable an the sub rca to 1/4 inch cables .
I really hope you don't plug your USB cables into your CPU. That would be kind of bad. But all things considered, the tutorial is quite good. You just gotta work on your Mic positioning or simply speak up.
Edgar Ruelas hey man I bought the 2222usb and there not powered mixers so I bought a powered speaker 300watts .yes you would need a amplifier to power passive speakers.
Twosome_Gaming - its good enough, aslong as you have the usb, your mic, thats it and simple, direct and best way.. all other cables is extra's or flexible ways to do the same thing.
+PassAndGoAway - Yes it is a good home studio set-up and one of the most used mixer. The only problem with this mixer is when it comes down to do multitrack recording which it can't if you want to record more than 2 instruments to it. But if you don't into to record more than two at the same time its a great mixer and better than the focusrite 214 in the sense that you get more connection features and lots of built in effects etc. In my opinion i think the focusrite is great and straight forward to connect your gear for a home producer or dj and the behringer mixer is more suited for a band or if you have lots of keyboards synth and a few guitars like me.
Your should hear it as standard, its probably because you have turned it off or something on the board, I can't recall but i would always switch it on and off by switch one of the button down or out around the phone/source area.. i think its the red buttons, press both down or one in and other out.. it was something like that, i can't remember, sorry mate.
no you should not, unless you hear one side of the headphone instead of both sides. In that case than yes you would need another interface or headphone amp. You may need two Aux Sends to the Master Input? petty i don't have the mixer, I would check and test it out.
I'm aware the Aux Send is mono, I would use a splitter cable to produce a "stereo" signal to feed both channels of the amp that the headphones would plug into
plug your speakers into the DSP1124P output and from the output of your QX1204USB mixer you want to connect that it into the input of the DSP1124P. So mixers output goes into the input and your mixer into the output of the destroyer.
what im using is a xenyx qx2442usb but im trying to record cd but my recording volume is too low is the gain what I need to bring the audio levels up? im new at this
Its your main outs that need to be adjusted, i would suggest you check out all my vids on the mixer. "Behringer 1622usb Q&A" vid and the "PFL Level setup". What connection are you using?
The main output in front are unbalanced, it's only the back main out XLR is balance. All other connection on the back including the sub 1-2, inserts and control room is unbalanced.
Can i use a XENYX USB series mixer to record multiple tracks simultaneously into logic pro on a mac? ie recording full band recordings live into seperate tracks in logic pro 9?
sorry no you can't do multitrack recording using any Xenyx usb mixer. The only multitrack recording it allows you to do is two track at once only. if you want to do more than 2 than no can do.
Elias Khan Sir this is a great video! I heard you say you couldn't record more than one channel at a time. What if you were to run them to an interface that had several inputs? Would you then be able to record simultaneously?
am afraid not, anything connected into this mixer or been out-put will result to the same thing. I've been trying everything I could think off to no luck so I ended up caving in and just decided to buy a firewire mixer. Your better off just getting and audio interface.
Can anyone help me? ahaha I'm a COMPLETE beginner to recording audio and all I'm trying to do is record drumset parts. Literally all I need is recordings of the mics on my kit to go to my PC... I have this x2222usb but I have no idea how to use it. The mics are picking up and the red light shows on the interface, but no sound is going into my pc. I have it plugged into the USB, is there anything else I need?
You are wrong about needing drivers for Windows. It will work without them just like your iMac. In fact Windows acts just like your iMac. If you are at 0db or unity on the audio board it will be way to strong of a signal in the recording software. Just like your iMac I can only get it at about -10db on the audio board but in the software it will be at 0db. I think that is just USB protocol. You would think 0db on the audio board would equal 0db in the computer software but that does not seem to be the case on Mac or PC. Your videos seem decent.
I'm trying to reach someone to help me register the Xenyx Q1202USB that I just ordered through the mail. I have not been able to register it. The online registration form requires a proof of puchase file upload. What type or file is expected? Why would I have a file to show proof of purchase? I chose this product because of the software that is supposed to come with it, but I can't access the software until I register the product.
Strange, I didn't have to do this when I brought mine? All i did was put the registered number or serial number on the mixer. Have you tried emailing them and provide your hardware number and things like that?
Nice presentation Mr Gadgets. Pleasant voice. Knowledgable. Easy to listen to.
Excellent video. Best I have seen on the Behringer set up. Thank you

Won't lie, didn't need much of this til 13:15, but thank you for that, especially.
TQ. Finally found a complete tutorial on this mixer.
thank you.
Top man for doing this review excellent job my friend keep them coming
Hey Elias, great tutorial! Thanks a ton for sharing this.
What a GREAT review my friend;THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic video, Elias! My vocal set-up is now perfect and it would have taken me hours to troubleshoot -- if ever. Thanks, man.
Very good teacher, thank you

Fantastic job, one of the best tutorials I've came across! You could use this to educate many people on how to make a tutorial... Subbed!
Thank you, check out the others or the latest one Behringer Q&A vid.
it is so clear. Thank you to make it so simple and understandable
Very well done and very helpful. Thank you!
didn't expect to hear The Notwist!
Thanks for nice video. Is there any provision in this mixer to supress vocal over music?
Very helpful thanks !!
Great video! We have the same mixer. I'm wondering what are the compressor LED indicators for? When these steadily blink I notice the quality of the sound coming out from the speakers are not that good.
Thank you, Tracey C below asked the same question on what the compressor is, check out my reply below 5 days ago.
Elias Gadgets
Got it. Thank you. At which level do you usually turn the compression knob for the vocals?

Hello love your videos one question how many male and female cables do I need thank you very much

So the only reason you choose the 'solo' button on a mic channel is for it to contribute to the master gain levels?
Thank you so much for the video, sir! But I still have one question: What cable do you recommend to connect to the speaker? XLR, 1/4 inch or RCA? Which one has the greatest quality?

Hi Elias,
I posted a question for you on your other video tutorial on setting the FX level. So I hope you still are able to answer questions for me on that vid.
Thanks, Tracey C

@Elias to connect a dj controller where is best to plug it in please ?
Hello,
I am a real beginner here!
Hi Tracey,
The low cut button would be best suited for all mic vocals application only. it take out any thumps or rumble out of live sounds, makes the sound vocal deep and clear, it would also minimizing any popping. yes you will notice that it doesn't have any audible effect but that is because you may not be on a stage where the environment layout itself with everything connected with cause a lot of distortions and that low-cut filter would come on handy to cut them out. Try for example playing a drum bass which will have some wobble or distortion and than press the low cut and see the difference, or maybe a male with deep voice. The Xenyx mixers ranges are really only for handling or like your said playing all gear rather than recording in mind.
Elias Khan
Thanks again!
wait do i plug my guitar into that "Bal or Unbal" jack?
Thank you for the information. I appreciate it. More power to you! :)
thanks heaps. i have the 2222fx. i was confused!!
aun es posible usar el software en windows 11? o habrá alguna manera de setearla con algún daw actual?
I'm using ProTools 10, any insight about set up Also my current studio speakers are connected with 3.5 mm. Do I use an adaptor (XLR) for this set up
ProTools 10 should be straight forward once you have installed the files for your sound card if on windows or once connected to your mac which doesn't need any installation.
Can you send inboard FX to SubGroups and Main Mix at the same time...?
Sir your tutorial is very use ful to me, but there are some question, can i ask you,
Sir i have beharinger mixer 1202 fx,dennan a/v receiver,and p.c.,
I want to record my vocal on p.c. in cubase soft ware
at this time i give c.d. out to my mixer in which i connected mic and c.d. player output.
And from mixer c.d. out put gives into
to line in of my p.c. is that correct or there is requriment of audeo interface between
And if yes set up of connection
A audio interface would make your life much easier and direct in this situation and less complex. Your connection is alright but an audio interface connection would be better but it makes no sense to have this and a audio interface together, your better off getting an audio interface to connect you set instead of having to connect the audio interface via usb going into your pc and than connect the mixer 1202x into the audio interface.. it's really down to you but either way it all works ok.
Thnk You very much!!!!
ok, so i'm trying to put a rode videomic into this which has a 3.5mm jack on it, so i've bought a 6.35mm adapter, and it didn't work.
THANK YOU
a USB cable has never plugged into a CPU 3:10 It plugs into a computer! CPU is a central processing unit, not a shortened name for a computer
hello Good review but got a question!
i just wanted to know if it's possible to use balance or unbalance cable in any input of a mixer?
i'm just lost sometime because i see some people puting TRS cables in a line input
is it dangerous to do so?
+dextercon - Thank you, sorry for the late reply but yes you can use either cable its like mono and stereo. The cables are interconnected and the real danger to be honest is you will lose only half of the sound level and today most equipment are made to interconnect balance and unbalance.
Are you playing the Notwist?
Looks like a very informative video. Unfortunately, I can barely hear it, even max volume with headphones
I have a lightening cable converter to female usb that connects to the mixer, do you know what button on the mixer should be selected in order for the output to record properly on the phone?
for the input/output part..how about for reason? I seem to be having some difficulty getting audio in from the mixer to the Daw
Can I connect 4 speakers and two powered subs in this mixer? I mean
im connected my both speakers but the sound is like nothing very low then I connect my subwoofer and sound excellent why is that? what im doing wrong? my speakers are connected in the back of the mix xlr cable an the sub rca to 1/4 inch cables .
Can you not use this without hooking up the usb?
I really hope you don't plug your USB cables into your CPU. That would be kind of bad. But all things considered, the tutorial is quite good. You just gotta work on your Mic positioning or simply speak up.
for an audio mixer vid your audio level is really low
exactly my thoughts XD
flipteezy no it ain't. Its fine
That's because he's using Pacific instead of Atlantic inputs.
it's not low...it's really bad in general.
it's just lacking higher frequencies, but i'll give it a try anyway!
Is there a way for you to run two headphones in this device?
if your audio is coming in through usb, does the eq work that way?
is this considered a "powered" mixer? i have some 15" active speakers can i connect this to them and be cool or do i need a powered amp ?
Edgar Ruelas hey man I bought the 2222usb and there not powered mixers so I bought a powered speaker 300watts .yes you would need a amplifier to power passive speakers.
can i just use the xlr cable/mic and usb to only get the voice to be picked up on my PC without buying the other cables?
+Twosome_Gaming - Yes you can without the other cables.
It just won't be the best way of doing it right?
Twosome_Gaming - its good enough, aslong as you have the usb, your mic, thats it and simple, direct and best way.. all other cables is extra's or flexible ways to do the same thing.
which the best effect for voice at the table XENYX x2222 usb?
Please how can i use it i mean x2222usb For my livestreaming?
Can you route a channel to both the sun and main at the same time? Please help!!!!
Is this mixer good for a home studio setup? Would this be better than usinfg a focusrite 2I4?
I heard you can with the right drivers
Bflatest no. Only stereo (or two mono).
should you be able to hear the effect through the phone jack? when i record to my computer the effects work but not on the phone jack
Your should hear it as standard, its probably because you have turned it off or something on the board, I can't recall but i would always switch it on and off by switch one of the button down or out around the phone/source area.. i think its the red buttons, press both down or one in and other out.. it was something like that, i can't remember, sorry mate.
If I want the Aux Send to feed a headphone, do I need to feed the Aux Send into a headphone amp and hook the headphones up to that?
no you should not, unless you hear one side of the headphone instead of both sides. In that case than yes you would need another interface or headphone amp. You may need two Aux Sends to the Master Input? petty i don't have the mixer, I would check and test it out.
I'm aware the Aux Send is mono, I would use a splitter cable to produce a "stereo" signal to feed both channels of the amp that the headphones would plug into
Can you record 4 mic's at the same time? Even if it records it on one channel. Thank d
Lens Den -it has 4 mic inputs
would this mixer work with protools 12.5?
How can I connect DSP1124P feedback destroyer on mixer? my model is QX1204USB
plug your speakers into the DSP1124P output and from the output of your QX1204USB mixer you want to connect that it into the input of the DSP1124P. So mixers output goes into the input and your mixer into the output of the destroyer.
Thanks
I was going to get one, but was warned like the plague!! They are meant to sound like muck!
what im using is a xenyx qx2442usb but im trying to record cd but my recording volume is too low is the gain what I need to bring the audio levels up? im new at this
Its your main outs that need to be adjusted, i would suggest you check out all my vids on the mixer. "Behringer 1622usb Q&A" vid and the "PFL Level setup". What connection are you using?
@ Tomás Sampaio - XLR to XLR is the best or XLR to 1/4
Elias Gadgets -does the compressor work good?
i got a x2442usb can you help by telling me how i get it hook up with protools
Are the main outputs on front are balanced or unbalanced ?
The main output in front are unbalanced, it's only the back main out XLR is balance. All other connection on the back including the sub 1-2, inserts and control room is unbalanced.
Can i use a XENYX USB series mixer to record multiple tracks simultaneously into logic pro on a mac? ie recording full band recordings live into seperate tracks in logic pro 9?
sorry no you can't do multitrack recording using any Xenyx usb mixer. The only multitrack recording it allows you to do is two track at once only. if you want to do more than 2 than no can do.
Elias Khan
Sir this is a great video!
I don’t know what I have hooked up wrong but I can’t get my mic to work
You are wrong about needing drivers for Windows.
Have you tried emailing them and provide your hardware number and things like that?
where do you hook up the monitors if you're playing live
Is the Xenyx X1204 a good mixing desk?
i was told avoid behinringer and mackie.
allen and heath have some great stuff.
I literally don’t know how to get the sound to my headphones OR for my mic to record to GarageBand. SOMEBODY HELP!
no. audio is not good enough, sorry!
