The incredible thing is that Matt's voice is identical to the recording. Even if there is some amount of magic happening on the audio side, he's driving all of that with an amazing vocal range.
IMO his voice is better live 😊 This is my favorite The dark side live : drum is amazing and vocals a bliss 😵🤩
I remember my first time hearing them life, at a concert in munich. Their performance was so perfect that I was starting to worry they might be doing playback. Was relieved and all the more impressed when I could finally hear some deviations from the studio version. They are top notch.

Muse are the best band to come out of Britain in years mainly because of the lead singers incredible operatic vocals! What a voice!

Holy shit, what a song ! Love the way he pounds on that guitar. I'm an older dude from 60's but would travel to see them in a heartbeat. Think I'll watch it again 10 more times.

Its a very vocally demanding song. I dont know any other artist that can tackle this live.
There are a couple, but they're all dead now. Matt is truly in a league of his own in today's music world.

@@miguelpereira9859 I disagree. I think that he still has the vocal power but he has matured into a slightly softer vocal style. In other words, he could sing like that but decides not to sing like that anymore.

I was ready to agree with the other negative comments about the sound mixing until I simply turned up the volume..a lot. Sound is fantastic, atmospheric and balanced at the right volume, which is probably louder than your normal setting. (A lot of my favorite bands, like Radiohead, mix in a way that isn't suited to bar room or 'casual' listening, but the rich details come alive with the right volume.)
The bass is really good if you crank it, but the synths still seem a bit low and the cymbals are still very dry

I think that's just the live mix, so during the concert you have not the same perception because it's louder indeed. They maybe have changed the EQ a bit but that's all in my opinion.
Thanks for the advice ClavisRa, cranked it up with my headphones on and apart from nearly blowing my brains out it sounded much better 😀

When I heard the pre released songs as they became available I was kinda sketched out, and I don’t know of a Muse song I can’t fall in love with so I was beyond worried, took me a month but after the first listen through the entire album I’m head over heels

I think it's beautiful. Muse is one of the best live acts out there, especially in this time of overproduced music. Of course it's not going to sound exactly like the album, or a big performance on a big stage. It's intimate. It's a tiny venue with smaller and different acoustics. I think a lot of people aren't used to, or don't want to be used to the fact that bands grow and change their sounds. It's called evolution. In my opinion, this rendition is amazing for where they played it and thank you Jools for continuing to have Muse as guests on your show. Cheers!

What a performers!
A fun piece of music and energy! Another good one from the most recently released, Simulation Theory, this is pleasingly reminiscent of another werewolf-wooing-vampire-vibeing number. Muse’s stamp in definitely heard here and I expect that over the years, we’ll have occasional pieces from Muse that will be there to remind us of this and similar themes from the horror-classics genre. “You'd be afraid if you could feel my pain.”
