Greatest bait I've done was back in Injustice 1. I was at Combo Breaker X I think. I am playing Joker in pools against Floe's Batgirl. Floe had just talked shit about how easy the game was on social medias and everyone wanted to take him down. We get to game 3, 1 health bar left à piece. I have noticed that whenever I pulled my full screen gun out, he would punish with a teleport. Batgirl teleport was incredibly fast, but very negative on block, so I decided to bait it out with the "useless" button of the game, flip stance. Flip stance made your character switch from facing towards or away from the front of the screen and nothing else. The important part though is it made my character move while keeping me able to block. Floe sees my character move, teleports in and gets full combo punished into a reset to win me the set.
And kids still think baiting is bad. This isn't your low skill regular server game, where you bait and others get mad. It's a deliberate, masterful strategy, if done correctly. Some master bait plays have literally won the teams the biggest tournament titles ever.
Honorable mention to Mango vs Hax at Big House 4. Mango was playing Captain Falcon, a character known for his high speed all or nothing playstyle, and during the middle of a game slowly walked toward Hax. You almost never see this in Melee because mobility is such a crucial mechanic not only for the character, but gameplay in general. Since he wasn't expecting this, Hax took the hit. "Yo, did he just walk up slowly? And Down smash him?""
I think the biggest bait they’ve done to me was on League, they make me think that the Tristana was alone, and then I followed her (almost killed her) to a mine of Teemo Shromes and the entire enemy team.

The siege site bait is king in my book. A bait based not on a mistake of the enemy team but which depends on them playing perfectly. That rush was exactly the right play given the information they had. Genius

would be great if something on this channel that was StarCraft was actually from the past 5 years. The only exception being the Serral video which took someone becoming basically a god for a year to get any new things said about it. its always idra clips, the scarrlet vs bomber game, and life and there's NEVER anything new. Played a lot of different games where I got baited, - Getting Faked in Rocket League - Baited plants in CSGO or Valorant - Baited in League to check a certain place in the map - Baited by teammates Went through it, besides all the frustration, I had fun haha. Hopefully they had a nice memory out of it.

I loved just being a courier coming into lane to deliver items as monkey king when first came out. Some poor support sees you and tries to courier snipe behind your off laner and you just sandwich him.
My favorite ever bait is pretending to be a fake Alibi decoy in Siege, and tricking people into not shooting me and running right into my crosshair It doesn't work all the time, but when it does it's the best thing ever
the worst time i ever got baited was actually a fake bombsite in siege. the worst time i saw other people get baited was the "free anaconda at hutton orbital" bait. In case you don't know, the anaconda is an amazing multi-purpose ship in elite dangerous that is also fairly expensive so it requires a decent amount of grind for new players to obtain, so a free one would be great for said new players. Hutton orbital on the other hand is a station that is 6,784,404 ls away from the main star of the system it is in, which roughly translates to 1 1/2 hours of travel time at full throttle.
Kinda surprised that the clairvoyance brush bait mentioned in FNC baron play wasn't in the countdown as part of the FNC death brush montage. That was the OG FNC death brush.
