I'm amazed how you get the story almost just out of listening to him without knowing what he says.
Israelis really sing from the heart. I was at this show, a terrific show. But in general - Israelis are one big family, as an Israeli it is a feeling that cannot be explained. When I stand in the crowd I feel like I'm singing with my brothers. Without differences of religion, race or gender, even those who are not Israeli in the audience will feel and be given the feeling that they are part of this huge family. This is an Israeli character, direct, honest, without hiding, without ego and games - bringing themselves and their soul with all their might. This is why there is something very connecting and warming in Israeli concerts.😃
it stems from the some of the tenets of Judaism of every Jew is responsible for each other כל ישראל ערבים זה לזה and love thy neighbor as thyself ואהבת לרעך כמוך. there is a real sense of family and community within the Jewish community

Hebrew is a very short language and built out of root words so it’s always been easy to rhyme and we’ve had huge poetic Renaissance in the 13th century which is very similar to rap

Hi I love your reactions and I share them with all my co-workers you're a great person and have a lot of guts going into this blindly but that's what we love about you so don't change your vidoes. I do think that it would be so awesome and fun for you to do a live stream so we could recommend videos while doing it so you wouldn't start it with a list you would go in not knowing what songs your going to react to.

I think you will like songs from Idan Raichel's project.
There are also great female Israeli singers, but this is less suitable for the orthodox audience who are careful not to hear women sing.

Hey General, appreciate the views/taking the time to comment.
My "vibe" is just reacting to things i find interesting, or that I may have an opinion on. Lately it has definitely been more Jewish oriented (which was by accident. A Viewer from Twitch linked my the Miami Boys choir video, and after watching it got kind hooked on the Jewish music scene.)
Since then, just been trying to educate myself a little more and more with each video, whether it be music/documentaries, or Just the comments from the Viewers/Subs.
I haven't really been on Twitch as of lately since I use that time I'd normally be on streaming to record/upload now. I don't have a lot of Free time, so trying to record as well as stream is a little tricky. However I do plan on getting back into Twitch a little more. However my Twitch is mainly for gaming, so if you were hoping to catch me reacting to something, that probably won't happen 😅.

It's very sweet and wholesome and has an amazing classic sort of arrangement, IMO.
This from back when this competition was more about the songs, so it's much less flashy than it is today.
A little context: that year the Eurovision took place in Israel, after the Israeli entry "Abanibi" won the previous year. I recommend that one too, it's much faster and more fun:

One more recommendation, if you want to hear women singing Jewish music, I recommend this choir (all religious-Orthodox women, and yes, they have Rabbinical approval 😉). It's called Hallel choir, and their leader is Merav Brenner, who is also a singer in her own right:

Haha, that might actually deter me from watching it. Many have suggested songs with English lyrics, or English subtitles, and that's not really something I'm looking for. I enjoy listening to the songs the way they are, cause I can go off other aspects and try to get a feel of the song. (Granted, I still get the majority wrong, but I can still seem to get something).
I probably will check it out regardless, since I enjoyed listening to 8th days song. But ya, English isn't something I'm looking for.

No idea where I would find or go about finding Jewish podcasters lol. And I'm not opposed to "broadening", however I'm still just getting into recording and uploading 😅...not sure if I should be dipping my toes into too many pools.
Totally agree, I've done some Portuguese, and might try out some others as well. But also trying to be respectful, especially since I think a good majority of singers I enjoy are female 😅.

In terms of Podcasting, in your next video you can put it out there and see if anyone would be interested in doing a one on one with you via Zoom or the likes. Prepare a list of questions that tickle your curiosity and see where it goes.
I don't know some of the secular singers you mention. The comparison makes me want to look them up.
