I hadn't heard this song before, but it is beautiful. To me it looked like a father about to marry off his daughter remembering how she used to be a little girl who played with dolls dressed as brides, and then played dress-up as a bride, and now she has grown into the beautiful bride she always dreamed of. "Bat Melech" literally means "Delighter of the King", so when you described her as looking like a princess, that was exactly right, Many of the scenes showed her praying at or near the Western Wall. It is very common for brides and grooms to go to the Western Wall before their wedding to ask G-d for success and happiness in marriage. Coincidentally I was at the Western Wall to pray this morning, and our prayer group was joined by a groom, preparing spiritually for the new life he is about to begin.

I've been loving your recent review videos; your relative cluelessness (and I say that in the most endearing way possible) with regard to the Jewish culture and languages gives them a very unique perspective that we almost never hear. One song that perhaps hasn't been suggested to you yet, but I highly recommend you review is HaGeulah by Ariel Zilber (2019): ruclips.net/video/_yBpmePXrCg/видео.html Since your "blank slate" makes your reviews so special, I almost hate to give you any background, but in my opinion, it's the best Jewish song released in the past 10-15 years. It actually has real music on real instruments (as opposed to just an autotuned voice and a synthesizer), and original lyrics - which are quite beautiful and written in the style of traditional liturgical poems - as opposed to the trend you've noted of just repeating one verse or phrase over and over again. The composer/performer is also quite unusual in that he was one of Israel's biggest (secular) pop stars in the 70s and 80s, and only became religious much later in life.
Girls have to pray 2 times a day while men do 3 and we don't have to do it with a group called a minyan of 10 men. Woman don't have to do a bunch of stuff in Judaism out of convince kinda. Anyways that would be hard for a mother to commit to because the kids need her we are usually permitte to not do. The catagory of those things is called דברים שהזמן גרמן which translates to things that are dependent on a specific time. since a mother can't just pick up to go pray at the specific times a day we don't have to go and be in shool, but we still do have to pray.

Long story, im sure no one remembers it nowadays. Im 33 so i was a kid during this. (Maybe it was in late 90s, not sure ) But gad elbaz is not really taken seriously by most people i believe.. its like he grew up hearing how amazing he is , dreamed of being a model, or a pop star. I'd suggest you not listen to him and Nissim black the music is not the style you seem to like. The song they keep suggesting is Hashem Melech , which is originally a French song that has a LOT of autotune. They are both very talented but I'd suggest live songs . Gad is kinda famous a little bit, mostly because of his father, which was a politicly active singer in early 2000, while a famous politician had a scandalous trial and went to jail for white collar crimes, the entire saga became a public discussion about oppression of mizrahi /sephardic communities. The politician played the ethnic card, claimed hes innocent and is being prosecuted for his ethnicity.. years later he came back to his former role and apologized publicly.
So. Long story, im sure no one remembers it nowadays. Im 33 so i was a kid during this. (Maybe it was in late 90s, not sure )
But gad elbaz is not really taken seriously by most people i believe.. its like he grew up hearing how amazing he is , dreamed of being a model, or a pop star. (Did i mention Ricky Martin yet? ❤😆🫢)
BUT, i do think he can sing, i even really liked him in the past, maybe because i was a teenager and he looked very nice 😊
I think he could have been really good if he dropped the ricky martin wannabe act, or focus on singing , not on big productions and videos and what not.. its not cool. He ehould grab a mic and sing . Preferably with normal clothes. Hes trying too much its not giving his singing a chance to be heard. Its a shame.

I'd suggest you not listen to him and Nissim black the music is not the style you seem to like. The song they keep suggesting is Hashem Melech , which is originally a French song that has a LOT of autotune. They are both very talented but I'd suggest live songs .

That's kind of why I prefer to listen to live performances cause I can just focus on the Vocals. When there's a music video I'm really stuck looking at everything else. Plus with music videos the voices are always a little altered as well.

It's astounding how many people here are "explaining" what the song is about when they obviously have no clue what the words mean. This is a love song, plain and simple. If you don't know, you don't have to write anything. Silence is an option. 🙄
