In regards to when amir dadon laughs, the sung was written by him and at the part of the sung the lyrics where "olay yesh me sheshomer ailay" (maybe there is someone guarding me) yishai rebo who is more religious changed it to "badok yes me sheshomer ailay" (for Sure there is someone watching) and he didn't tell him he will change it before, so he laughed.
I missed that! Amazing 😁
Thanks for this insight!
Almost. The original is "omrim" - they say.
In Israel, the most iconic place to perform is the Caesarea amphitheater!! Whoever performs in Caesarea knows that he has entered the Israeli music mainstream!!
Ishay Ribo is the absolute best. He embraces Orthodox and non Orthodox artists which is great. He unifies his audience!!!
I love how considerate you were and asked about posting a reaction to a female singer 😊 that's so sweet. Jewish guys just can't listen to girls singing, that's the only issue 😂 so it's up to Jewish guys if they want to listen or not
the name of the song: choose right.
In the end, it all comes down to me
A matter of angles
I don't understand hints maybe
Colors and letters
A quick look at myself, and that's enough
Just don't look
What's inside is already too inside
It's called a habit
When will I learn to choose correctly?
To believe, to see is good
without looking back again
choose right
The same voice speaks to me
meets me at night
Going without understanding where
Will I know how to come back?
A quick look around, and that's it
I will no longer fall
There is a boy who is frustrated with me
It's called growing up
When will I learn to choose correctly?
To believe, to see is good
without looking back again
When will I learn to choose correctly?
To believe, to see is good
without looking back again
In the end, everything connects to me
A matter of dreams
If I wake up just in time
Maybe I can remember
They say someone is watching over me
gives me the strength
I haven't found an answer yet though
It's called living
When will I learn to choose correctly?
To believe, to see is good
without looking back again
choose right
In this version Ishay changes "they say [someone is watching over me]" to "definitely"
I’m obsessed with this song ! Great choice.
Your questions are very impressive.
Opinions will definitely vary when it comes to women singing in groups.
Interesting to see how someone who dont understand the languge react to it. To be honest I can say that understanding what they sing about, how they sing it and to enjoy it in that way is so much greater!
Amir Dadon is the best vocalist in Israel IMO. He also portrayed Jean Valjean in the Israeli version of Les Miserables.
yessss I want to see Portuguese music!!! can't wait
Livchor nachon means to choose correctly. The main part of the chorus translates to “when will I learn to make the right choices”. Israeli music isn’t necessarily the same as Jewish music (kinda like how Christian rock is it’s own genre). Just so happens that ishay ribo is both an Israeli and Jewish star.
Exactly. It’s important to differentiate Israeli from Jewish in the context of music.
cant wait to watch i love these singers!
Ishay nailed this song once again!
ברוור זה ישיי
Obviously this is lshay
Jewish input regarding your question 😉
There are religious Jewish men who don't listen to women's singing because it's forbidden according to the Jewish Halacha (the rules guide book sort of). It's a different story if it's more than one woman and the singing is in unison but that's going too far into it for now. The religious community also seperates when women and men are dancing, which I heard you asking about in a different video. It all comes from modesty and traditional religion rules. The requests you get according to what I saw in your channel, are usually of the most religious people out there in Jewish and Israeli music 😅 pretty much an edge of the Jewish music religion scalar. so you probably won't see any dancing women or performing ones in these.
Loving these, keep going ❤️
Straight off the bat, before actually watching I know it will be great!

Wait, you play viola?! Classical music is awesome (and yes, I'm aware of all the viola jokes but I love its sound anyway). As a lover of classical music, I would love for you to do a reaction video to some impressive virtuistic pieces (like Dance of the Goblins, or Fantasy Impromptu) ....
Please react to Hanan Ben Ari.
One of Israel's best artists.
Has some live performances.
Only the realy hard religeous people have a problem hearing a female voice, but most of us do hear female and male voices, i sing too. so if someone chooses not to hear it's okay, thank you for your question.
🙏🏼😊
Wow .. ishay &amir
Thank you!!!
I had just seen your reaction to the Sawdust video last night and while watching this I couldn't stop thinking about it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

LOL I wrote Asher bara in the comments but you reacted to a different one. The actual Asher bara is played by piamenta
ya wasn't aware that Piaments was the artist lol, just started typing what you said and Asher Bara came up, so i went with it haha. Noticed only afterwards
I liked the video before even watching it, just for the pick
This song was originally performed by Amir Dadon. He is not that religious on the outside while Ishay Ribo is a fully observant Jew who has reached out to broader audiences than many other Religious Jews.
Where you thought that there was a joke going on your weren't so much off..... the original lyrics say " they say there is someone keeping me safe" and Yishai changed it spontaneously here into " for sure there is someone keeping me safe" referring to the one and only..... congrats on the song choice..... great one!!!!!
Hi, beautiful videos!!!
Keep it comin!!!
Man you are killing it!!!
I think you should change your name to Jewishpia instead of Portuguesepia
JewishPortuguesepia
I would love to see a Portuguese song.
In Israel there are many female singers who sing.
The religious singers, not all of them, do not sing with women. I must say most of them do sing with women.
The audience is often mixed, women, men, religious, non-secular, non-Jewish, etc. and everyone can sing together! It's not even a question
There are instances of a religious current that are also often smaller and are found mainly in areas with a religious population where there is a separation between women and men. for reasons of modesty.
But female music in Israel is very accepted and appreciated
Also Vahaviosim by the KTC band
7:58 you gotta understand that there are different levels of orthodoxy. This is classic Israeli orthodox.
Please Add to your list 'daddy come home' from the yeshiva boys choir.
I promise that you won't regret it
oh yes, daddy come home is one of my favorites!
OH! you had a great question -- as an observant Jewish woman, I don't sing in front of men who are not from my immediate family.
why?
a Jewish man is required to keep himself from listening to a woman singing (there are different versions to the requirements, but that's the general law),let alone watch her. so as to not get him into that inconvenience, a Jewish woman should not sing in front of a Jewish man.
BUT, you are not Jewish, you don't have any of those requirements, and thus, you can post whatever you want and the men and women will have the choice. you can be kind enough to warn about a woman singing in the title of the video.
Men I wish I could just get on a phone call with you and explain everything
Portuguese music 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹
Religious Jewish men are not allowed to listen to any women sing, Jewish or not. There is a distinction made between listening to a single woman sing and and listening to a group where individual voices are not identifiable. However particularly religious people will avoid both. The audience here has many secular people in it.
The concept of men not listening to women song is complex and opinions on to what extent vary… most men won’t listen to one woman sing live but they’ll listen to something prerecorded or when it’s a group singing where you can’t necessarily match the voice to the person… So when at a concert and everyone is singing it wouldn’t really be an issue…
His top top top most famous song is sebot hasibot
yes! great song!
Halev Sheli is more famous
@@ygross18 true those two but I want him to make a video of it
Haha, I've added it to the list.
@@PortuguesePai thanks

To amazing Israeli 🌟
Livchor Nachon means to choose correctly
Great choice man!! Gr8 content
Can you pls react to sibat hasibot by Ishay ribo
Please make a video of sebot hasibot or mazol
In general.
They have concerts in old Roman arenas in Israel, as in from the time of the Roman Empire. I believe that is the location.
It's pronounced YeeeShy
Maby Israeli singing sing with a deep, raw voice .
Most men won't listen to a female. Regardless of Jewish or non Jewish .
There are unbelievable Orthodox Jewish female singers but they request in the beginning of their videos " for women and girls only"
I guess once you post it you'll see how many of your followers are Orthodox Jewish men.....
Please watch Shulem and Yanky Lemmer The Man From Vilna- the music video .
And Nissim Black !!
Please if you could make a video of that
Ishay ribo- pronounced ee-sh-ay ree-bow.
His best song live is Halev Sheli (hah-lev sh-eh-lee)
So the issue with women singing is this. They are very much allowed to sing. However, men aren't allowed to hear them sing live. These rules are adhered to strictly, in the orthodox community.
There is a debate on whether a woman on a recording is allowed to be listened to but many still don't allow it.
Lovedit, i must admit, there was something a bit weird though... In 08:22 .. its not something common.. but hey.. shit happens, its still good . Abit awkward maybe 😂
you have to do reaction to-
ישי ריבו מארח את עמיר בניון ואמיר דדון בבריכת הסולטן - ניצחת איתי הכל.
Love you channel! Yes jewish women are very much allowed to sing! There are some sects of Judaism that men will not listen to females singing but in other communities they do. It depends on each community and their stringencies. There are women such as Devorah Schwartz or Shaindy Plotzker who sing amazing songs but perform only for females. So yes women are allowed to sing and perform just not all of them will perform in front of males. But if you check out the names I listed before they make great music videos.
So if his question is if we’ll still look on the videos from reacting to woman singing the answer is yes
Or not😢

In the orthodox and Chasidic or any religious communities, you will not find women singing or dancing with or in front of men. Women are certainly allowed to sing and as of lately, there are a number of "For Women Only" singers and concerts.
In general, in all religious communities, the men and women are separated, during all activities, including prayers, weddings, dancing and even business events.
I believe that this crowd is Israeli's and are certainly all Jewish, but it would appear that they might not be religious, which is the reason you are seeing a mixed crowd.
Please can you do nitzacht iti hakol- ishay ribo🙏🏼
Can you a reaction to the Portuguese singer you mentioned on the Motty Steinmetz video?
Those are are stricter about Jewish law won't listen to a female performer but those who are more lenient would
I love this song! But it is even nicer with Itzik Dadya (way more musical...)
The crowd doesn't look like the most religious type so that is why there are women singing. There are some singers who won't sing in front of a mixed crowd for that reason. When it comes to listening, if there are a lot of people singing and you can't hear any particular woman's voice it is more lenient. And a recording may also be less of an issue than live. If it is a video of one woman singing, whether she is Jewish or not, it is not allowed. Whether people will watch it or not I don't know...
Appreciate the info Noam. I'm still learning when it comes to tradition/cultural difference's, so I want to be as respectful as I can.
I would add that in the same way that many men rely on the idea that they can listen to a crowd singing, many religious women rely on that as well to sing while they are in a crowd. ( Obviously context matters but generally speaking they will be correct in assuming that the men that wanted to be strict about hearing a crowd of women singing wouldn't show up at a concert where there was a crowd of women.)
There are some Spanish Jewish songs. check out Saul Suli.
amir dadon is a famous isreali singer
7:52 - Amir Dadon is not a religious Jewish singer, so those seeing him wouldn't be exclusively religious Jews or the type that would find this to be an issue.
One of the most impressive things about Ishay Ribo is that his audience spans from the most unaffiliated Jews to the ultra Orthodox... Hence the mixed crowd and women in sleeveless tops singing
These guys the Israeli so this Hebrew isn’t from prayer or anything it’s lyrics they wrote for the song. All ishai ribo songs are actual written lyrics. So just as Americans sing in English- this is them singing in their language.
If there are women singing there should be men singing too so her voice doesn't stand out, there are also exceptions some people believe if it's not live then it's allowed but it all depends
Gotta check out halev sheli
if you want Israeli star, try gad elbaz.
Check out nissim black he converted to judiaism and is an awsome rapper/rabbi
4:24 - Do a Portuguese song that's [just] instrumental or with a male singer. Note, a Jewish man would only listen to a woman sing if it's a close family member (such as his wife).
If u wanna see how famous a singer is, u could see on instagram how many followers he has.
Possibly..... the more chassidishe you go, the less linear that relationship is....
can you do mazal by ishy ribo ,amir dadon and sombody else but i forgot his name
Ishay is pronounced like ''Yee-shy"" or "Ee-shy'' :)
And in English, Yishay is rendered as Jesse.
And in English, Yishay is rendered as Jesse.
To answer your question: In general, Jewish men can listen to women songs.
If we break it down:
Really orthodox men probably won’t be listening to women singing.
Religious men (less orthodoxy) will divide to those who will listen to women in public and those who won’t.
There is even a very famous religious female singer, named Narkis, who I highly recommend listen to…

yeah, a portuguese song sounds interesting
According to Judaism, a woman is not allowed to sing in front of men, but she is allowed to sing in front of women, and women are also allowed to hear men sing
Such a pity u don't have the words translated before watching it
You must react to yakov shwekey songs he sings a lot in English he is the biggest Jewish singer in new york
Ya, I've reacted to one of his songs already. I will definitely check out some others, but my list is getting bigger and bigger. Lots to cover haha
Ok so let me try to explain it to you first ultra orthodox Jews won't listen to a woman and defiantly not whatch a woman sing it does not matter if the woman is Jewish or not but this rule only apply for the man the woman are aloud to listen to to woman sing but there are Jewish people what they are not so hasidick will listen to a woman sing about mixed crowds it's basically the same but a little less extreme ultra orthodox will not go to any kind of mixed events . there are a lot of hasidick people who will not go to a wedding mixed but they will go to a concert that's mixed its a little complicated cause there's a lot of communitys more extreme and strict and there is communitys what ties are not so extreme its complicated for a non Jew to understand but I hope it answered you a little of you're questions have a good one
