Patrick looks scared to death. Like a cat that just survived an inch of water.
I use a wooden dowel and put it in the holes in the comp and it comes right off. I can hold the barrel with my hand and spin it off. The dowel takes all the damage and can't mar the steel. I love my JP.
This is true in a lot of cases, but the type of wood matters. We've seen some harder woods distort the sharp points on some of our comps, and we've seen some really soft dowels just turn to mush before budging the comp.
@@JPRifles Good Point, I use a soft pine dowel to specifically NOT cause that problem because it is a soft wood. I had a great time with my JP-15 at the High Desert Match in Parma, ID and enjoyed the JP sponsored stage. Thanks JP!
My heat gun would work well because it has a nozzle to concentrate heat, and it pretty simple to foil wrap a barrel to shield from heat.
Mine must have the special lock tight that doesn’t like to come off. I’ve only gotten it 1/2 turn off. Had to walk away. I wish people stop using this much lock tight
Guess I lucked out. Mine came off just as easy minus needing the torch.
Does JP sell the assembly blocks?

Can you not use anti-seize when you first put the compensator on?
So mix anti-seize and loctite? That's a great idea. Do it
@@jadslash He didn't say anything about loctite smart ass.
What about a Teflon coated barrel on my lrp
Same thing.
