  • Kawasaki Ninja H2 Stage 3 Upgrade Install (Part 4) | KSIX
    This video is Part 4 of 4
    In this video I complete the installation of the front radiator, coolant pump and intercooler. She's all done and ready for tuning.
    I apologize for the insanely crappy and shifty audio on this upload. I normally wouldn't post a video with the audio in this rough a shape but I didn't want to leave this install series unfinished.

    Great work bro. Takes a lot of balls to do what you did with a bike people are too scared to ride leave alone work on. It must be nice to live in the states. Mail order parts are amazing. Would like to see some speed runs after the install and dyno figures. The important factor is not how much hp or torque you make but how its made. So keen to see this

      Pleasure bro. Around these parts H2's are blowing up willy nilly. Lots of stage 2 gear setups and fiddling but software isnt being focused on. So the bikes are running lean and melting pistons. Intrigued to see what software you going to run to keep the air fuel ration at its optimum.

    • @Ksix1

      I installed the full woolich software package right after taking delivery. Not trying to blow up my bike. Although finding someone willing and talented enough to tune with wollich was a challenge. She's running great. Sitting at 262 whp.

      @@Ksix1 thats pretty sick man. A fully built motor is sitting at 330hp on the wheels from what i see. 262 is great. This 2019 seems like a Wednesday bike. Hehe. Maybe in the future you can look at gear ratios for topspeed runs, if you into that sort of thing. 5th and 6th gear can be played with. Very uncommon on most channels.

      Travis' work is hands down - world class. But he also builds engines far beyond my own comfort and ability to undertake in my garage.
      To go as deep as he does, removing the engine is probably the easiest way to get the job do and do it right the first time.

    With the copper looking washers did you put on all 12 of them and on the top of the pump is just a over flow holes or does it connect to something time frame is at 11:35

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  2 года назад +1

      Hi! Trying to recall. I don't think I used the copper washer on the bolts holding the turning vanes. The hardware for those was supplied by EC. Not sure what you mean about the pump... on top of the pump is a cap. There is a hose on the side of the pump to the overflow tank. You can see the nipple, I hadn't connected the hose yet.

    Can I go straight to stage 3/4 from stock gearing? Are you tuning it right after .?

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  3 года назад +1

      I'm not sure if I understand your question. I would recommend Tuning directly after installing. Along with the super charger gears, I also upgraded the stock fuel pump. At this point, the bikes ECU has no idea what's going on. You could be running way to lean or rich. The bike just isn't optimized for what it's now capable of doing. I did run the bike in the garage after install, just to make sure I didn't have any issues. Then it went into the trailer and to SoCal Superbikes for tuning.

      @@dorothymarin7118oh I see. No worries. No you don't have to do it in steps. You'll just need to make sure you are completing all the work to meet that stages performance requirements. I also don't think you would want to do a stage 4. Lol. I know the materials are available to do the modification. Even Extreme Creations warns that doing would push supercharger to maximum speed of 143000rpm and could cause failure. Booooom!!!! 💥💥💥 🤣

      Good question! I racked my head on this for months before actually purchasing. I spoke to both Ben and Travis. Each had nothing but great things to say about each other's work. However, it is hard to deny that some of the fastest H2's in North America are running the Yager intercooler. Travis' skills as a fabricator are extraordinary. Dude is seriously Next Level.

      @@Ksix1 by the way, i like your channel. you seem to be extremely well researched. another question I would have for you is why did you pick the MWR filter over the sprint or dna one?

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  3 года назад

      @@alexcazacu1 When I decided that I wanted to undertake this project, the EC Intercooler was the picture perfect vision of what I wanted. I felt that the craftsmanship and elegance of the items EC setup fit that vision. There is a very large price difference between the two kits, but when I asked myself which I'd be most happy seeing on my H2, the EC won. Now, if I was going full out, time/space shredding power, the Travis kit would been it. But that's not really me.
      I chose the kit that I thought best fit what I wanted. Really, I think that's the best way to choose.

    • @Ksix1
      @Ksix1  3 года назад

      @@alexcazacu1 ohh! Another good question!
      So, functionally, I didn't have any issues with the MWR filter. It did its job. Got rave reviews from users on other applications.
      However, what I didn't realize is that the filter needs to be oiled. And, because I'm paranoid, I was afraid to use any cleaning or oiling solutions besides the MWR brand. Both are expensive. Cleaning and oiling was just a pain in the ass.
      Also, the H2 has drain tubes just before and after the air filter. The oil would fill up the tubes and just cause a mess. I was not happy.
      The sprint is sooooooo easy to clean. Compressed air only, 1 min job and done. And for as thin as it is, it captures everything! Really a marvelous product.
      I can't say if there are any HP gain/losses between the two but the convenience factor is 100% in favor of Sprint.
