I thought this performance was wonderful. It wasn't a constant chucklefest, but I don't believe that's what Joe was intending. For me, it was nine straight minutes of bracing myself for what was coming next, sitting on the edge of my seat being steeped in pure awkward, chaotic energy. It was both unique and an experience, and I think everything landed exactly as he intended.

I’m AMERICAN and I love comediennes from the UK. Joe Wilkinson is one of my favorites. I like several from Scotland but my all time favorite is Richard Ayoade. Thank God for cable and RUclips. You also have some great female comediennes. I guess I just find UK comediennes a lot more funnier than ones from the US. I also love your game shows, talk shows, reality shows and The Great British Baking Show. I do have to admit though that one thing you do that drives me nuts is you end everything you say with a question. LOL. Thank you for teaching me that AMERICANS say wader instead of water. None of us realized it until I heard someone from the UK say how we pronounce it wrong. I correct everyone now. They’re like you’re right we do say wader and not water LOL 🤣😀😂

I guess the reason I am curious is because a couple of the other commenters, here, say something like "I love him as a guest on a panel show but this is cringe" or similar, but, this is an *amazing* set. Multiple big laughs. Unique and consistent style. Compellingly original material. I cannot understand why anyone would have anything bad to say about this, at all.

Oh dear. When I clicked I didn’t think it would be funny. Terrible how he’s in the clique and good comedians struggle.

Didn't find a bit of this funny. Love him on panel shows but this is cringe.

Great randomness on panel shows, mainly because he has references to work with, when it's just him 100% ...his randomness is too much, it's senseless

He doesn't seem right here, even the way he talks is different..... Different accent almost. He's 10/10 on 8/10 cats does countdown

I was expecting it to be relatively weak, but it was weaker than that

That's what you get when jokes are actually funny but your audience is as smart as a paper towel

Those of you thinking “he’s so funny on panel shows” we’ll that’s because all the jokes are planned in advance. Notice how every time Jimmy Carr asks him a question he always has a witty comeback or a pre prepared monalougue or prop ? Very fake

Pretty sure his standup routine was planned as well
