That new poem piece “Thanks Mate, Now I’ve Shat Myself!” by J. Wilkinson is quite alright i suppose, I mean it’s no “Hanging About In A Train Station Toilet Naming People’s Penis’” but it’s quite evocative nonetheless!
Nothing ever quite matches the prose of “Hanging About…”
It’s one of the most sublime moments in comedic poetry I’ve ever witnessed.
Nonetheless, Joe’s craftwork is never unappreciated, at least for me.
It took me a while to warm up to Joe initially. But now, I think he makes me laugh harder than anyone else on the show.

Same . Every since I started watching these shows. At first was like wtf is this guy doing... Now I can't stop laughing everytime he comes out. I also adore Nick and "Sean Bean " as well though.
Same. Turning point for me was when he was on Travel Man. Saw a different side of him
Now he is acctually playing the game he is one of the funniest but I wasn't hugely keen on the "he's been fired but keeps turning up anyway" bit it felt like a childrens show.
I don't like his skits on the show but when he's actually playing as a contestant and just being himself, he is by far the funniest in the whole room. I think I've consistently laughed more at his "mistakes" than anyone else. 8:34 is a good example.

Joe genuinely laughing at how weird his maths was is my absolute favorite part

Why is joe so good at writing poetry?
Poetry is the medium in which human beings express their inner turmoil and pain by trying to make sense of their existence.
If Joe's good at poetry then...
He writes from what he knows to create a common connection between everyone in the room.
Joe is just good at improvisation period, but the subject matter I feel makes him not get as much praise as he should. To my knowledge, very little of the panelist's conversations are scripted, yet Joe literally always has something funny to say.
It's probably the team of writters >_>

How does this not have the Penis Naming Poem in there? I liked the other one, but that one is absolute gold. Sean nearly dying from laughter, begging Joe to stop, is probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Along with the Carrot in the Box and Gloryhole. The Countdown Trifecta. With A Challenging Wank as an honourable mention.
It’s just about the most stupid thing he’s ever done and it makes me laugh every time I see it. They’ve already used that clip a lot so it’s good to see other examples of his comedic brilliance highlighted.
