Anyone who responds flawlessly to a heckler is a great great standup comedian, Jimmy is excellent at it.
He sure is, as well as being brilliant, he seems quite a nasty character with a superiority complex. .

@@chrisfromnoosa1905 to be fair though, he seems to only do it to hecklers... who sort of have it coming TBH. Its not as if he is just picking random people to rip apart... the people pick THEMSELVES by going to his show and inserting THEMSELVES into his show.
I've always been puzzled by hecklers. It wouldn't occur to me in a million years to obnoxiously interrupt a comedian during a live performance, potentially ruining the show for hundreds of people in the room. The level of misplaced ego you have to have in order to do something like that will always be a mystery to me. Even if you really don't like what the comedian is saying, just keep it to yourself for the rest of the show or leave.
Main character syndrome. Some people just cannot stand not being the center of attention.
That's why he offers a "hecklers amnesty". He actually invites it.
Some comedians like a bit of heckling as it gives them the chance to interact with the audience, Jo Brand for instance.

i just watched finally in person his show here in vegas last night with my wife who is not into stand up comedy ( or humor for that matter), wr both were in tears from laughing. very much enjoyed. the show could have been longer though. thanks for doing vegas, jimmy! come back soon!

He is the funniest comedian in the world! Nobody can even come close to his genius! I remember when he was having a roast battle with some unknown screechy high pitched voice American comedienne. He tore her apart with ease lol

Honest truth is, while your comedy was good, your crowd work was brilliant. Yes, you had a few go to standard "come back"s but mostly it was fresh and cutting.

All these have passed, and that first woman's still slagging about. Only with that guy, though... when he can squeeze her in between the other girls. Rumour is to this day she still flips the bird at anyone with Jimmy's likeness. That and her parents still don't look her in the eye. This was because the woman who outted their relationship status also gave her parents the DVD for the next Christmas.

why participate in a behaviour which you're embarrassed to have known publicly? If something youre doing is making you feel shame and embarrassment, perhaps you should reconsider what youre doing?
Maybe they aren't ashamed they just know how judgemental some other people can be.
@@dondoodatUsually the reaction will be the indicator though, and while its impossible to know for sure they did both seem like there was personal embarrassment. The way she was trying to overt any attention to Jimmy staying on her cause she knew it would be revealed. And how the guy acted when Jimmy played out the scenario just made him worse, and if things were fine it would of reflected especially when Jimmy publicly made out he was a champ but he shrank away from it. That was maybe the biggest tell. I know that sort of suggests what you said, but if the only reason was being sensitive to the judgment of the crowd, the reverse where he was being commended then should of had a considerably noticeable positive result.
