What I love about Andor is that after a thousand years of Sith planning, of the Sith gathering allies, moving pawns, infiltrating the Old Republic, after all the manipulation Palpatine used in engineering wars and crisises with which to finally destroy the Jedi Order and assume power, after all the contingencies Palpatine set up to contain potential threats from Force Sensitives, the one thing that Palpatine woefully underestimated was the sheer will and defiance of normal, everyday people who gave everything to fight the Empire.
He, in his arrogance assumed that only his only serious threats were Force Sensitives like the Jedi, he completely ignored people like Saw Gerrera, Luthen Rael, and Mon Mothma who forged a small but determined band of freedom fighters to oppose him.
There's something great about the Sith being undone in part by people who made the conscious choice to abandon their fear.

Magnificent work. Whenever I'm asked, "which Star Wars character are you?", I always answer: one of a group of nameless Rebels on Hoth, gathered in a hangar listening to Leia's withdrawal instructions. There's not going to be a historical victory today --the goal is just getting everyone out safely. Leia doesn't sugarcoat her speech: she lays out expectations, sets timetables, and tells everyone to do their jobs and look out for one another. It's such a powerful scene --these are technicians, pilots, mechanics, supply chain and I.T. folks. No heroes, no legends, no magic space wizards with laser swords. Just... people. People who, for whatever personal reason, figured out which side they had to be on, and made the decision to fight for it, with their lives if necessary. Because that's what you DO when fascism is on your doorstep. This video captured that perfectly. Thank you for it!

You can treat Russia any way you want, but you simply have no idea how much the situation with the government of my country is similar to the Empire. Watching "Andor", I had goosebumps from how similar some moments are in the situation prevailing in my country now. For many, "Andor" is a masterpiece, as it is cinematic, dramatic and unlike typical "Star Wars". But for me it is a masterpiece not only because of that, but also because it is very relevant and topical for the people of my country. I cried at Maarva's speech, it is so relevant and heartbreaking.

I think that when all is said and done, when people look back at star wars as a whole, the rebellion saga (i.e. Andor, rogue one, rebels and the original trilogy, jedi fallen order) will always be some of the most memorable stories we've experienced in modern times. under-equipped, under-manned freedom fighters standing up to a behemoth tyrant will always make raw, emotional, inspirational and powerful journeys.
And this is an amazing masterpiece of a tribute that suits the best of star wars , great job.

This is pure brilliance. The core of Star Wars - as much as I love Jedi vs Sith, lightsabers and the rest - is really the resistance of an outnumbered and desperate good against an entrenched and vastly powerful evil. That is what makes it more than a children’s story, that is what makes it timeless and transcendent and important.
I hope someday it will have done with lesser things and go back to being this.

I just realized the Rebellion insignia is a rendition to the Jedi Order which is a raised up lightsaber. A lightsaber is an extension of The Force itself, fueled by kyber crystals which is a gift from The Force. Not only it is a tool of offense and defense, it is a beacon of hope and a guide to light the way.
The Rebellion is a lightsaber. One has the tools to build it, you can either conceal it or show it, it will only need the right crystals, the right people and the right moment in order for it to ignite it and fight against the dark and give light to the galaxy.
