I've had Laban on my radar for three years, but in hindsight, I'm glad I haven't pulled the trigger yet, because my preferences have changed so much! I started out with slim pens and now I love big pens. One pen that's always inked up is my Opus 88 Jazz Holiday. I love the ink capacity, the ease of cleaning, the dimensions, and the smooth writing experience. The only minor drawbacks are the squeaky threads and the sticky rod for the shutoff valve (which are easily fixed with a dab of silicone grease) and the 3.5 turns to uncap. This isn't a pen you pick up for jotting down notes, but it's one of my workhorse pens.
As for Laban, I'm doing my homework. I like the 325 in orange. It's such a happy color. Lagoon and Sakura are pretty too. The Rosa reminds me of a Leonardo MZ with those finials. I'm also looking at the Mento, the Taroko, the Skeleton, ... oh, who am I fooling? I pretty much want one of each. LOL

@@KarynaLovesToPlan If you're interested in other Taiwanese brands that are better than TWSBI, Opus 88 is reasonably priced for the majority of their models, and Mr Cypress has some very nice pens with Jowo or Bock nibs. Their materials range from acrylic over Ebonite and wood to micarta. I own one of their pens in a red koi acrylic and plan on buying more. Fine Writing International has a few slimmer c/c pens. And Penlux is also worth a closer look.

I have been writing with my Laban 325 Sakura (F) for the last week and I love it!! It's a gorgeous pen and writes beautifully!

I have the Sun Orange one in Broad and I LOVE it! I also have the Athena Gray and Ares Red, and the gray is one of my favorite colors. It performs so well in so many different pens and I love the subtlety of the gray shading.
I need to try more of their inks! And I'm thinking of getting the Laban 325 in Snow!

My goodness!! I'm so excited for you!!! I was just watching your currently inked, I look forward to them faithfully every month! That pen is so beautiful and the ink 😍I've never tried anything larger than the Japanese broad. I can't imagine how smooth that pen glides with all that ink! Will this pen be in your currently inked next month? 😄
I've actually sent this pen to Mark Bacas to be ground into a cursive italic, so I won't see it again for another 10 weeks! The broad is too broad for me, and I love stubs and cursive italics so I'm hoping once the nib is ground, this will be THE perfect pen!

OMG you have to put that laban poseidon green with your other teals/turquoises! I must see for comparison...but that green is gorgeous. Might pick up a whole bottle for myself.

Thanks for sharing. I have 2 Labans. 1 drys out when capped by the next day, the other writes when you un-cap after a fair period, does the 325 hard start a day capped?
I haven’t used it long enough to have experienced that. Have you contacted Laban?

I'm waiting for the Hermes ink to come back in stock and then Poseidon will of course join the travel home to me. ☺️🩷 The pen does look very girthy and I have small hands but I do enjoy writing with my Jinhao Dadao 9019, which is very girthy. I'm interested in the Rosa also. They look so pretty. 😇🩷🙏🙌
I have Laban Aphrodite arriving soon. The Rosa is a good size pen, probably smaller than the Dadao 9019 but still a good size.
I have the Ares ink and it's really nice, super basic but nice & pigmented. I'm a sucker for packaging so I probably would have gotten the pen just for the box LOL Enjoy !
I love the packaging too and have kept the packaging for all of my pens, like a separate collection 😂
