Thanks for this event! Looking forward to see Artur in November at our community LAN (maybe) :) 4:00 And here I obviously meant recognize instead of mention - pls forgive me :)
I didn't think it was a good solution that they presented the headset and still installed the old headstrap. How should you properly test the wearing comfort? Furthermore, there was very little time for the actual test; you could only test in the break between the advertising lectures. I paid 20 euros entry and couldn't test it properly. Furthermore, there were no lens inserts for eye correction, so I had to put my glasses underneath, which in turn resulted in a smaller FOV. The presentation was good but the actual test option for the glasses was poor, it's a shame... Now I'm still not convinced to buy the glasses.
There was cumulative more than 4 hours for tests on 5 stations. Everyone had tried almost all demos and got more than 30-40 mins with headsets in total which is very respectable number. Headstrap has been substantially improved and it was a final strap installed on those headsets. It is impossible to have lens inserts for every person at demo booth because it would have slowed down the testing even more. If you are not still convinced about VR1 please do not buy it and wait for other people to use it. There is no rush. Oh P.S.: for 20 EUR ticket there was SO MICH value at that event including all the food, partners, presentations, demos, networking and fun.
@@artursychov That is not right. I was there at 9:00 a.m. and was able to put the headset on briefly around lunchtime. Then several lectures took place again and it wasn't until around 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. that there was an opportunity again. By then the waiting time was too long for me so I went home disappointed. I didn't feel the need to listen to several hours of lectures that didn't interest me. I wanted to test the glasses with some peace and time and that didn't work as expected. Furthermore, as already written, the headstrap that was shown in the advertising video was not installed. Sorry, something like that is not professional
@@argonigus853 head-strap in the video is exactly the head-strap which was installed on all units. Sorry to hear you are disappointed BUT I fully disagree with you and I can easily press a refund button on your tickets. Just let me know your name and I will refund right away even if I strongly disagree with what you said. Everyone had a chance to test VR1 many times. of course, there is always be a limit when there are 100 people demoing the headset at 5 stations. Schedule of the even was available upfront, you could have planned your day to stay for Demo sessions.
@@artursychov Rene Uhlemann And the headband on the video on the rendered images is definitely very different. Please watch your video again. Voodo, who was sitting next to me, also recognized this immediately.
@@artursychov I would have liked to buy their VR headset. I had already written to them before the presentation that I would no longer buy a headset without testing it because I had such a bad experience with the Pimax Crystal. Now I was looking forward to the visit and really wanted to test the Somnium VR1 live and properly. First of all, I didn't have the opportunity to test the correction of my eyesight. If I use my normal glasses, like with Voodo, my eyes are too far away from the lenses and I have a very bad FOV. I only get a good FOV by changing the face mask and using corrective lenses. I couldn't solve all these questions and problems with them and that's why I was so disappointed. If at some point they offer me a better opportunity to test the headset and respond to my individual needs, I would be willing to buy the headset at any time. But so far I'm not convinced yet, unfortunately.
