coming from a valve index i have ordered a visionary edition, dont need the passthru as my vr adventures are usually limited to flying and driving, and i've grown so accustomed to finding the buttons without seeing them that i don't really need it. i bet it will be a cracking experience and it will allow my 4090 to really stretch its legs. can't wait to hear that doorbell ringing

Hey Artur, it's good to see you on here communicating with everyone. I have a question about the focal point. I went from a G2 to a Crystal Light. The focal point was uncomfortably close on the Pimax. People are saying 2M with the G2 and 1M with the Crystal. Can you give any information on the VR1's focal point?
@@artursychov That is quite dissapointing. I did not see any lighthouse tracking requirements on Somnium website. And now I see it is not included in the box either. So Price is 2.5k plus lighthouse stations then...
I bought a Crystal Light and sent it back 2 weeks later because it was uncomfortable, clunky, unreliable and the lenses were pretty awful. That was £1000 inc taxes. This.... this looks great but that price tag ... I sweated when I bought the PCL... I just wish consumer VR would just come down in price a bit. Sure it's probably an epic device, but like virtually (!) every other headset that isn't a Meta, they're just too expensive for the average guy to buy. I want this... but I want to eat too. Good review btw! Edit: Just found out it also requires separate basestations. This is a deal breaker - spending £2k AND you need more gear is just lazy IMO.
the Through-The-Lens footage was not convincing, I think it shouldn't have been shown if you couldn't get it right, it gives a bad impression when I bet the visuals are much better than that Hope to see a better one soon because if done well, it helps to understand the quality of the headset to some extent :)
It was a camera limitation, as it was filmed with only 1080p Sony Alpha cameras, we will be doing an extended through the lens with higher resolution cameras soon! - Shodah

@@hoveringpilotdepending on variant you buy you can have inbuilt hand tracking. But yes, we recommend Index Controllers or etee controllers

Amazing quality and specs come with a higher price... Unfortunately nothing we can do about it.
But sill no micro oled screens... for me a big miss
Micro OLED screens bring a LOT of downsides - small FOV being one of them. So nah, it is too early for micro OLED so far.

Honestly you can't base it on just that since through the lens don't do the headsets justice. All three of them also got different lenses.
