Aussie Burnout car driver hear, the tyre fires may not be a direct result of the exhaust. The tight fitment of the wheel arch over the tyre causing it to hold in alot of the fine tyre rubber. Then by the end of the run the heat built up in the wheel well from tyre and the fine rubber catch a lite. The hotter conditions exaggerated the problem. Just something we have found from our burnout comps. Just a idea. 🇦🇺
@@connorreid3373 they would possibly affect grip and I would assume go against some rules. I would start by taking out any edges or lips where rubber could be building up. Find any ways of giving the rubber a clear path to throw further away from the tyres and wheel arch.
You should try spraying Inferno Armor on your fenders(inside/outside) to help keep them from catching fire. It's a spray developed by a Dirt Sprint Car driver to spray on fire suits to stop them from burning. They say its works on multiple different materials though.
His problem is rubber building up and catching fire, not the surface itself. He needs something to stop the rubber from sticking or have the crew jack the car up and scrape out the rear wheel wells between runs.
@@Joebobinator The tyre itself and the particles in the air are what are starting it, you can see it in the slo-mo. Pretty sure they already are (or have tried) cleaning it each run. Doesn't seem to help though.. Which isn't really surprising when they are fully using up a set in 2 x 30sec laps..
@@dzzope pretty much this. it's the particles igniting. a good example is watching high tire speed burnouts where the exhaust is forward of the tires. it's likely caused by the exhaust dumping right behind that tire if i remember correctly. while the right side fire is a bit odd it's possible the fires actually igniting in the trunk and just following the particles to which ever tire.

Need bumper vents... the blue car never got tire fires when it had those big holes in the fenders. And the 2nd qualifying run looked like a Denofa run... giving 110% just for fun.

I was there at Hungary, because rabócsiring is a few kilometers away from me and i was really excited for it, because i'm obsessed with drifting and sim drifting, but i've never been at a drift race. I guess the tire fires are from the tailpipe being so short and close to the ground. Extend your tail pipe at the back of the car further and you won’t have any more tire fires. It’s from the fire balls the tail pipe spits onto the ground. We’re all the rubber dust is
i had the same thought. just extend the pipe so its at the back of the car. I'm not saying for the pipe to be sticking out of the rear bumper, but at least behind the rear tires. if I'm not mistaking its currently exiting before the diff?

Hey dude, poor luck in Hungary. You were Killin it. Your car tire fire issues are a big problem. Maybe try route your exhaust over the back axle and out rather than under. I know it's more bends and work but don't see another option for you, that or put a cone on the end, so it jets out the flame down the middle, rather than it mushrooming out when it hits the ground. That's what's catching the tire on fire. The mushroom flame.
Progress is progress Adam and things in Drift Masters this season are all over the place. But you definitely are improving with each event on the European calendar. Fingers crossed for you in the final at Poland which you do already have some experience of.
32:18 I'm suprised Dave & co didn't catch that the tyre set off earlier that run, meaning they were probably much hotter much earlier in the run. Great driving btw, Hungary was nuts, for anyone not aware there were 18 drivers with 90+ point runs in Qualifying.. Just nuts level of driving all the time.. Can't wait till next year already, yourself, Connor, Falaise to name but a few having the experience and track knowledge to maybe push through to top 16, 8, 4...

Your driving was on point the whole weekend, it was a shame they dropped you out of the 32, i think an omt wouldve been a better call. Unfortunately i didnt have a pit ticket to meet you but you shared my Instagram story standing at the start line and that made my day!
Doubt Adam will see this. But one thing I think is a simple solution is cutting holes in the rear fenders above the tires. The old E36 rubbed holes in those fenders it had and it never really had as many fires as this. Having holes in the fenders will not only allow more of the tire debris to fly out and keep less from building up, but it allows more air flow and releases any build up pressure in and heat in the wheel wells which should help dissipate or prevent as many tire fires. At least this is just one solution I could think off off the top of my head. Only other solution would be running a full length Exhaust out the back similar to what Andy Hately had.
I seen some of the drivers in DMEC running side exit exhausts. I know in the rules it says it has to be past the axle. But maybe they might approve it for you, considereing your situation.
Time to design some plating to box-in and protect the rear wheel wells like a flame guard. Unless you figure out better exhaust placement but redirecting the rubber particle stream might be the option.

I think it’s where your exhaust exits and the smoke from the tire is so thiccc it actually combusts when the engine shoots a flame. Cleetus has the same issue on his burnout car and that what it is but I think he left for the show
On these driftmasters videos I'd love to see an on screen schematic at some some point of the whole track your on and the zones. Watching the entirety of your practice and still can't even begin to picture what the layout of the track looks like just from in car and the few clips.
If you guys put a face or creature that looks scared of the back tire catching fire in place of the old wrap while including the burnt wrap would look so rad
I'd consider looking into different brake pads. Could be the pads sparking like some usually do being most are a ceramic base. The wheel bearings flexing, left foot braking or even hand braking could spark the fire.
Really looking forward to Poland 💪🏻 shame you didn't win against Jack but as you say better this way than because of a silly mistake. I would leave the burnt rear as it is for Poland because there will certainly be one or two contacts there.

You should reduce exhaust gas temp similar to how a diesel truck does it when they regen, there is cuts in the exhaust tip that suck in fresh air.
